This was a school where Native American children were removed from their Native families (he was from Oklahoma) and forced to go to school there with the objective, and I quote from its founder, "kill the Indian and save the Man". I've seen you do a great job addressing racial and social injustices on this program. I wish you would have contextualized his accomplishments in this way. He truly was remarkable and overcame way more than you depict here, including being stripped of his medals because he was also a "professional" athlete. He was the greatest athlete and even greater if you think about what he went through.

He played professional baseball and so they ruled he was ineligible, but also probably because there was some underlying racism at work too.
