THERMAL PARK VIA FERRATA
The Parc Thermal via ferrata is traced in the Bonnant gorges, between the Parc Thermal and the town of Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc. After a first part rated AD+ (quite difficult higher), the via ferrata is difficult, then very difficult in its final part. The last two sections, after the first loophole, are athletic. The Via Ferrata is prohibited for inexperienced adults and minors not accompanied by an experienced adult.
In addition to the classic progression equipment (ladders, etc.), this via ferrata is equipped with six structures: 3 Nepalese footbridges, a log footbridge, a beam and a rope bridge!
Do not engage in the Via Ferrata in stormy weather or at night.
Respect the direction of the route.
Respect the site and its environment.
Via ferrata closed in winter: snowslides and wildlife wintering site.
The equipment to engage in this via ferrata is mandatory:
Helmet
Harness
Adapted and closed shoes
Carabiner for short rest lanyard
2 large opening auto-locking carabiners
Lanyards with energy absorbers
A pair of gloves
Sports shops in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc offer the rental of specific equipment for the practice of this sport, information from the Tourist Office.
The Compagnie des Guides de Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc organizes supervised outings with the guides to introduce you to this activity, take you and help you discover this exceptional itinerary in the Pays du Mont-Blanc.
If you are driving, it is advisable to park at the Bettex gondola car park in Saint-Gervais, and walk to the Thermal Park by the path from the Chatelet ruins. This allows you to reach your vehicle easily from the final exit or from escape route #2. It also gives you a physical warm-up before committing to the via ferrata
DEPARTURE
It is located behind the thermal baths, accessible in 15 minutes on foot.
It is also possible to start from the footbridge of Les Thermes, without doing the 1st section
SECTION N°1
AD+ rating - Duration approximately 1 hour
Escape n°1 Mick Bozon at the level of the Thermes footbridge at the end of this section
SECTION N°2
Rating D+ - Duration approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes
Escape n°2 Maurice Lenoir at the end of this section, before the Saint-Gervais bridge. Be careful, this escape is difficult
SECTION N°3
TD+ rating - Duration approximately 1 hour
Final exit under the ruins of Chatelet
Minimum height for the 3 sections: 1.50 m - กีฬา

Only discovered this VF after seeing it on TH-cam whilst staying in Chamonix - the first section was easy but the second requires a lot of arm strength towards the end. I was very pleased to reach the exit. The third section looks awesome but will have to wait for me to get fitter and return to the area again.

J'ai subi me même coup de pompe que le commentateur précédent et c'et grâce à une jeune personne que j'ai pu me sortir de ce mauvais pas. Un grand merci à lui
bonjour Christian Je suis aller a l inauguration de la via J ai discuter avec les personnes qui on conçu cette belle via .La sortie va être changer par une échelle je crois ils on noté mes commentaires .
Du fait de leur haut niveau, les personnes n'utilisent pas de longe de repos. ce n'est pas une obligation mais une longe de repos courte est très fortement conseillée, en cas de bras cramés (en plus des longes classiques à absorption, bien entendu).
DL je me demande justement si elles ont fait les 3 sections d’un coup...et là j’ai un doute...bon niveau ou pas...

le secteur N° 3 est extrêmement difficile et est coté ED+
En fait la 3eme section est TD+ mais l’ensemble des 3 sections vaut une ED...car c’est long et tire méchant dans les bras...
Très belle via, avec un décor magnifique ! Attention, la cotation est juste : le deuxième tronçon est noté très difficile, et c’est bien le cas ! Beaucoup de dévers ! Il faut une bonne condition physique et des bras musclés pour la faire sans souffrir. Personnellement je me suis régalée. Je ne me suis pas lancée dans le dernier tronçon, car il faut savoir être humble face aux difficultés. Je recommande donc cette via aux grimpeurs avertis !!!

Via excellente mais en effet assez difficile...surtout la partie 3...j’ai fait les 3 parties d’un coup mais j’ai pris un plomb sur le dernier devers...heureusement j’ai su m’en sortir grâce au mental...site magnifique également mais à faire en étant bien sportif et en forme !
