Blind tastings are really fun to do. WT and OF fan here. Several of my neighbors like to get togther once in awhile to do blind tastings. At times, we specify it is a bourbon or a whiskey night, sometimes we pick a price range, or mabe bring any bottle of bourbon / whiskey. As it is blind tasting, we all are often wildly off on what we think we are drinking. One night, a neighbor brought a blind bottle and gave us a taste. The pour had a nice single malt quality and it was incredible. It turned out to be 16 year old George Dickel. Also, Evan Williams BIB [ $16 ] turned out to be a slighltly sweet favorite of the group one night.

Rare Breed is just the best at its price point. AND I gotta say, it beats a number of bottles who’s prices are just insane.
In my area WT RB is $50 and I love it. OF 1920 is $65 and Baker's 7 is $75! Haven't tried either one because of that. Rare Breed just kills it.

Great blind guys! WT RB 47 bones here in PA.
I had a pour of 1920 and Rare Breed yesterday evening. Both were excellent! I'd be hard pressed to find a preference but, the Rare Breed is more abundant on the store shelves. I've never had the Baker's and I'm still trying to get my hands on a bottle of Old Grand Dad 114. I've seen the Old Grand Dad usually when a more sought after bottle appears and there isn't enough funds available for both. Nice show! Cheers!

1920 is my #1 that’s under $55. Not really that close. Rare Breed #2.
Interesting match up! My favorite hands down is 1920. I had a pour of bakers 7 few weeks ago at a bar and it was good. Rare breed is good but just doesn't do it for me. Don't know exactly what it is, i enjoy WT.
I love WT but Rare Breed I really have to be in the mood for it its good but not fav WT product🦃🥃

I don't like Wild Turkey 101. I keep trying it but...no dice. Don't like the Russell 10 yr either. But, I love Rare Breed. So, yeah....I get it.
I don't get why people drink Bakers -- it tastes like menthol to me. Overwhelmingly menthol, even when mixed into a cocktail. It's one of the few bottles I've every considered for a drain pour.
It's a single barrel so it differs from barrel to barrel (of course) the first 4 bottles (all the same barrel) l had were amazing; cinnamon vanilla frosting. The next few l bought were disappointing, Knob Creek 9 is a better more consistent whiskey and cheaper.

Just got my first bottle of bakers last week but haven't opened yet all pretty available hear in mass, OF 1920 & rare bread are to of my favorites bottles and would definitely be in the 5 if I had to leave everything else behind.
once I smell the banana of 1920, I cannot smell anything else.

I bought RB after hearing so much about it. I really didn’t care for it. 1920 on the other hand is awesome. Have had Bakers.
I have not seen Baker's around here but 1920 is around $60 and Rare Breed is only around $45. I tend to lean towards the 1910 but should do a blind between the 2 at some point.
I owe Baker's another visit, but the one I tried when they first went to Single Barrels had a bitterness that I did not like. I haven't tried it since. But RB and 1920 are always on my bar and vie for 1st place as my daily go-to.

Great episode guys. David, I appreciate your knowledge on such a wide vanity of bourbons. Jamie, your learning curve is really showing. You’re starting to stand on your own as far as a bourbon reviewer. That being said, I agree…1920 would be my 3rd choice. But I would be hard pressed to choose between Baker’s and Rare Breed. Those are 2 of my favorite bottles and depending on the day and what I was in the mood for…I can’t tell you which one I would choose as my favorite in a blind tasting.

In a blind its very very close. NCF needs air for sure. But both around $50 for me so I get the NCF because its 1L vs 750
