Good evening, Mr English! Your TH-cam channel has really helped me take my English to the next level. Thanks a whole bunch for your helpful lessons. Wondering if you could tell me your name, though. I'm curious to know.
Sir, goooood morning. I want to ask you about a word "try". A: Dare you do it? B:Try me. But can I say I heard she is a tough teacher at this subject. I want to try her. I mean I want to challenge her. Does it work? Make sense?
Hello! The phrase "I want to try her" is grammatically correct, but it may not convey the exact meaning you want in this context. In English, saying "I want to try her" could sound ambiguous or even imply testing her in a personal or inappropriate way, depending on the tone and context. To express the idea of challenging a tough teacher, it would be clearer to say something like: "I want to challenge her." "I want to test her skills as a teacher." "I want to see how tough she really is." These alternatives are more specific and less likely to be misunderstood.
Hmmm... that's an interesting point of view. The difficulty associated with learning a new language mainly comes from the differences between the new language and your mother tongue. For English speakers, Chinese is the most difficult language to learn because of the complex writing system, the thousands of characters to memorize, and the 4 tones. However, for Vietnamese speakers, it is much easier since the 2 languages have many similarities. So, if your own language is very different from English, it may seem difficult to learn but with some practice everything is possible! Don't give up! 🤩
That's understandable... I highly recommend listening to music in English and singing along. That's a great way to improve both your listening skills and your pronunciation. 🤩👍 Charlie Puth and Justin Bieber are quite easy to sing along to.

@@englishspeaking360 Sir, what you meant is I want to try her could be that I want to have intercourse with her? Try to have a taste of her flesh?

Lol! Glad you liked my voice. 🤩
Sir, godd afternoon. I can make a cup of tea for them or I can make cups of tea for them? Which is correct? Or both?
Hi! Cups is right. However, most people would say "I can make tea for them."
@@englishspeaking360I know, but that's a question for students. 😅
@mandychiu7319 Ahhh... then you have to be careful. Both answers may be right because THEM can also mean only 1 person. 😅
@@englishspeaking360 oops. No worries. Students don't know that. 🤣
@mandychiu7319 😂😂😂 They might surprise you!
❤
Cheers!
ok
Thank you!
I don’t know if you’ll agree with me or not, English is more difficult than Chinese

Both my speaking and listening are good but my listening is 👎 just because of the pronunciation which makes English so difficult
That's understandable...
