**A quick note on Star Wars canon: This video is based on Star Wars Legends, also known as the old Expanded Universe, which includes most Star War material (movies, books, comics, games) created before the re-canonization of Star Wars under Disney in 2014.

Because im old enough to see this SAME arguement happen 3 times....And I will give the answer I gave 10 years ago which matches the IRC answers I gave 20. STAR WARS IS MADE FOR MULTIPLE GENERATIONS. There is no FAVORITE BECAUSE FOR EVERY GENERATION ITS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Hell I remember the Arguement of Starwars being a rip of an old space oddesy movie..ANd Guess what? There were more of those fans then so their arguement was the same as yours. Eventually even your arguement will fade and when they release ANOTHER trilogy...Then it will be worst or best.

Exar Kun is technically canon via a Solo: A Star Wars Story reference book alongside Ulrec Qel-Droma but everything else about them including their history and feats/accomplishments will not be official unless depicted fully in a Disney Star Wars work.
Techinically the ulic qel droma epics were retcon to be a mythical event so likely he and exar kun didnt exist
Technically ever long before Episode 1 can be Canon do to the effect it does not have massive effects on the movies.

The only reason why the Sith lost so many wars against the Jedi/Republic is because of infighting. Often times the Sith had the upper hand over the Republic and was on the verge of victory until betrayals and schemes occurred within the Sith ranks, most notably the most powerful members. The Sith fight amongst each other even when fully committed to war against an opposing faction.
If the dark side didn't call for so much infighting and impatience, the Sith would have won most wars that they ended up losing

Exar Kun is widely considered to be one of THE best lightsaber duelists of all ages AFAIK, while Nomi...isn't ^^°
Don't get me wrong, I love her to death, but her strengths are to be found in her battle meditation and her ability tu cut ppl off of the force... not her ability to cut ppl in half :-)

@@der_benson4478 and Kun already resisted Odan Urr's attempt to cut him off from the Force, something not even Emperor Palpatine himself could do in the Dark Empire comics.
If it were solely a battle of wills, it would be close, with Nomi getting a slight advantage, but Exar Kun was just too powerful at that point. He would have mopped the damn floor with her.

Honestly, I would be down with a House of the Dragon style show about Tales of the Jedi. Multiple time skips leading up to this. Probably do three seasons. One shows the Onderon and Nomi stories, another introduces Exar Kun and ends with the Predator clap, the third chronicles the war itself. Maybe do Redemption afterwards, but I’m fine without it.
Only those who were close to him in childhood called him Exar Kun. To everyone else he was Exar Sama.

The stories illustrate how a 'Rule of Two' would bring *_stability_* to the 'Sith' way of force usage - not 'peace', but a succession that ensures not just continuity, but steady accumulation of skill and influence.
The grand plan in a way fulfilling the preferred approach by 'Exar Kun' of playing a long game of endurance - when taking the galactic capital 'Coruscant' by surprise was feasable only without discord...

nit pick here, but at 7:35, below mandalore you have the mandalorians with a picture of jango, and I love jango and the mandalorians, but thats not what they looked like at that time, the resembled the mandalorians in kotor more, with the bigger helmets that went over their shoulders. no humans in the army at that time

No he wouldn't. Sidious would destroy him. He might be able to beat Vader but not easily.
Sidious was the most powerful Sith ever, more compatible than anyone in the dark side, being a true psychopath and all.
Sure, if it were up to a pure Lightsaber duel, it could go either way although Sidious is still better than Exar Kun. Only Yoda was better in lightsaber dueling than Sidious, but Sidious was unmatched in his mastery of the Dark Side. Exar Kun wouldn't stand a chance.
And yes, I understand that Exar Kun was not a weakling but was a powerhouse in his own right.
Even Vititate, as OP as he seems, is not as powerful in the Dark Side as Sidious.
So, let me restate this: Darth Sidious is the most powerful Sith who ever lived.

Darth Vader and Emporer Palpatine (Pre-Dark Empire) are the weakest Sith in Star Wars History.
Darth Vader could have become more powerful had he not been defeated at Mustafar and not be put into such a weakening suit.
Palpatine's the most powerful sith of all time and vaders one of the most powerful.
Vader is acc mad powerful it's just not represented the best at times plus he was held back by palpatine who was rather slow in training instead tryna focus on the empire and subjugation
