I have a 98 gs500 it will start and run but when I give gas it shuts off any suggestions new jet kit carb clean and k and n filter I’m a mechanic but not bikes I got it to run last yr shut off while riding at higher mph so did jets and filter but can’t figure out why it shuts off when giving gas still
Assalam u Alaikum Shahab bhai, I recently got me a 2004 GS500. Runs great, torque is great. The only two things of worry are the fuel petcock and left carb leaking fuel. Bike runs fine on reserve but cuts off on ON position of petcock even when there is 10ltrs of fuel. Left carb leaks out fuel which is evident by its wet side. I couldnt get it to idle before without cutting off which I took care of by turning idle screw. Rest of this stuff is new to me. If you do carb tuning and syncing work as per job or know a good mechanic who could give me peace of mind regarding my GS500 I'd be thankful a ton. Please do reply. Bro your yahmar video are great. Just want to ask can we change carbtor settings on new running ybr g or after the running when its running will be completed then we do change carbtor stock settings??
This guys doesnt know what he is doing, the air bubbles in valves when filled with gasoline and a blow of compressed air, shows there is a leak. You should first learn , get experience and then publish.

And the head after machining, was damaged , he didnt surface the head , instead sandblasted . And put it back
There is no need of sandblasting.
