I talked with another fan about this and in the show he was not really evil and in the end took responsibility for his actions. No one cared about his suffering, his mother’s death or the evil of the emperor and empress. It looks like he gets a lot of hate because he is the 2nd lead and Leo is not as popular.
@@madame360 yes he was the most tragic character in the drama . I watched this drama over months ago but on rewatch my heart breaks even more for Runyu . He got unfairly blamed for many things . Well he took responsibility for all his mistakes and did not excuse himself for anything . He remained as a responsible person throughout the drama . I did not like how so many characters were showing bias even when he did not do anything. I'm so glad to find more of Runyu's supporters here !!! He needs all our love ☺
So many comments, but I also want to vent. I just watched this drama, and I also like Runyu more than XeFeng. Truthfully, I think Jin Mi is also super inconsiderate, lacks empathy, and selfish. It's like everyone ignores that Runyu was being mistreated. The bias is so frustrating to watch. It's like watching people obviously treating one child way better over another. I also feel like the shift in her love came during the time in the mortal world which was manipulated because the love god tied red threads around the two. I never understood the love god. He was so bias towards his favorite nephew. Runyu was waiting for his fiancé forever. When it was revealed that she was the fiancé that he had been waiting for, he was ecstatic because he actually likes her too. Runyu wanted to go to the mortal world with her, but he wasn't able to and have to obey the god's law. XeFeng jumped in and asked the god of love to tie his fate together with Jin Mi (so doesn't that mean that her love that developed for him during her time in the mortal world was manipulated by the red thread?) Runyu had to watch her develop feelings for his brother as his brother was seducing her. She came back and even though she was engaged with Runyu, she decides to sleep with XeFeng (like have some respect, jesus!). All these during when Runyu was heartbroken from his mother's death. No one really empathized with him, but when it's their own parents that die, then they make a big fuss. He had to bitterly comply and accused his own mother in order to not get in trouble, and everyone else just let it be. In the end, I don't blame him for turning evil. He had to take care of himself because he didn't have people paving the path for him.
Agree.. and Really sad how he has been treated, life unfair but he in fact was born for greater destiny than any other else .. strggling for greater than personal love only
I just finished watching this and I have never been more angry and sad for a character than Runyu. His story was the real tragedy, it broke my heart. He lived a life of pain, abuse and loneliness. And no one, not family or friends, even showed the least bit of sympathy towards him. Everyone was biased towards XF. When his mother was brutally murdered in front of him while he begged his stepmother to spare her...I cried. And to see him hunched in the corner of his bed distraught and knowing no one cared about the pain he was going through. His story broke my heart. And all the other characters pissed me off. When XF kept making the big deal about his parents to Runyu, conveniently ignoring that his mother killed Runyu's mother and his entire family from his maternal side. The audacity. I'm angry just thinking about the injustices he had to stomach through the show.
I know this is not real life but my heart’s in pieces.. Run yu derseve an happy ending. He deserves to be happy just once! This whole show was about selfish love and how love can blind a person. Run yu done more for Jin mi than feng but because of love she was blinded and didn’t care. Y can’t they just give an happy ending for all of them. If they want to paint Run yu as a bad guy why show us his past. The painful stuff he went through to win our heart and just to leave it broken. This show was too selfish. Only concerning for the main leads. After the I’ve seen all the painful stuff Run yu went thru I became fond of him and I was more into his story than jin mi or xu feng hoping him happiness but not once was he given any happiness but disaster and disappointments after disappointments. Hope directors would realize their mistake and not make the same mistake again.
So trueee, they want us to see runyu as bad guy but give him painful past, if the story only care for the ml and fl please make sure their story more heartbreaking and more sacrifice towards each other compared to second lead😤
Beautifully done and sad. I like Night Immortal character, I kept watching the drama because of him. He had such a fate, I hope for season two development, cannot get enough of him.

He is considered a villain but he Did very very few bad action and blames himself for them because he had high moral standard and tried to live by them.... As KuangLu said..."very few dark spot on a white gown are more visible" I may not be' objective in my opinion because I like his character to much...I 've never felt for a character in such deep way.

I love Run You, he is my favorite character of the serie, and I think that the great job made by the actor really fade Xu Feng. Indeed I only accepted the main couple because I love Jin Mi and I wanted her to be happy, but in my heart I really wanted that she would ended up with Run Yu, He have made so much for her, and I really love him, even when he was ''evil''. In Comparison to Run Yu, Xu Feng was a very weak character, I don't think that he match Jin Mi - only in the human realm, that I like Xu Feng -.
You are absolutely right. Run yu’s character was fading out xufeng where it put in the shadows most of the time. There was no character development with xufeng. Only he gets the girl. He started out fine in the beginning and then he sanked down so quickly. Run Yu character was so much more complex then any character in the show. I really wanted him to be happy but at the end he went back to being that lonely night immortal :/
@@divinemvs2374 I agree absolutely. Another thing I notice that Luo/Runyu is amazing actor. He is like heavenly beauty incarnated, even in real life. I appreciate the movie team that they cast him as a main character. Drama was done so beautifully, so there is virtually no aesthetic comparison. Of course, "10 miles" is the best in my books, but "ashes's" beauty just on such high level, so I cannot watch other dramas anymore. The standards are set, I want to see Luo in his prime time! I hope, I will see him again in a heavenly creature role...
He’s just so captivating.He fits that scenery so well.I love love his acting.He was the only person that could make me tear through out the entire series.I really don’t know who can top this man.Same I’m really looking forward to more of his work in his future dramas.Especially ancient fantasy, count me in. It be nice if he portrayed more as the main lead instead of supporting role.Hes in a new drama called brokers.But I’m not too big on modern dramas.They aren’t as good as before.

I just watched Ashes of Love, my heart is bitter to runny. he's too kind, if it's another human i think will take revenge cruelly. Just imagine your mother being killed, your fiancé cheating on you, your uncle being biased towards you, your father never seeing you, nor are there many people with you when you are sad. my heart can't stand, runyu deserve the happiest ending. your mother cried huhu I couldn't help it. Leo is very good as runyu he is very beautiful

I never could get through the show but I always loved Runyu. I managed to watch enough clips to piece together his backstory. Definitely my favorite character of the drama! This FMV captures his story beautifully!
I'm currently watching Luo Yunxi in "And the winner is love" and watching him act a graceful and gentle-natured (albeit flirty) character reminded me of Runyu :( Watched this drama 1-2 years ago and tbh, whenever I try to recall the drama all I can think of is the bitterness and conflict I felt because I liked and supported Runyu and understood his actions but at the same time found it difficult to accept them. The thought of rewatching has popped up in my mind many times, but every time I remember the pain and loneliness Runyu goes through I decide against the thought :( yet I miss Runyu a lot too... Gosh... watching this made tears well up. Great job editing this video. Runyu was truly such a tragic character. I really hope Luo Yunxi only has good leading roles in good dramas from now on TT I want him to become as popular as Deng Lun and Yang Zi too.
I had very high hopes from this drama but in the end it was a led down ....first if they want to show a love story then instead of involving some painful characters it better to involve mean and evil one which can be hated easily. I don’t understand why everyone is judging Leo luo on the basis of his physical appearance, to me he was the most amazing character even better than deng lun. Run yu past really made me felt so bad and I was really questioning like why someone is just destined to suffer for his whole life. I really wished for Xe feng to give up on Jin mi and just for once understand how much importance she holds in run yu life who only wished for just one person, bcoz before going to mortal realm the love between Xe feng and Jin mi wasn’t that strong as that time it was mostly from his side initially ... people say they understand run yu suffering, it’s easy to say that u do realise about someone’s pain and suffering but it’s really difficult to understand, in all these years of run yu suffering it involves 4000+ years, which consists of so many years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds ...in real life we can’t even bear one wrong thing just imagine how much he would have to bear is beyond limits but even so it didn’t changed him but the moment he saw his mother dying for no valid reason by Tu Yao and she getting away with it and his so called birth was just a joke by Tai Wei and even saw his fiancé getting intimate with other person how could he not loose his temper ....he became angry and jealous bcoz of how nobody ever cared about his feeling not even his own brother. I know love is important so is family ...how come the one who had everyone and everything couldn’t give up on just one person that his brother wanted who had such a harsh and lonely life ...I have seen Tai Wei and even the moon immortal being so biased. To be honest Jin mi and Xe feng worked on the principle of I, me and myself. They both didn’t have any idea how much run yu has suffered and what evil deeds that Tu Yao and Tai Wei has done including raping Jin mi mom..I remember Jin mi saying to Xe feng about the scars but does she have any idea about the scars run yu had, to what extent he went in order to revive her .. Xe feng went after Jin min in mortal realm to protect her but instead it was all about romancing with each other. where else it was run yu who protected her against mu ci. I agree that killing Xe feng was wrong he shouldn’t have provoked her but Jin mi is equally guilty as she was the one who actually stabbed him, so what she couldn’t feel love but she could still use her brain. Further love is not about physical relation they could have waited after the engagement was called off but they didn’t and it was just so cheap and disgraceful. If physical relation is so important than run yu had many chances but literally that guy did everything but never forced himself on her ...which is very respectful ... if really Xe feng had given up on her after knowing she was engaged to run yu then run yu wouldn’t have to suffer, Jin mi would be happy after sometime, wind and water mortal would be alive may be even su li, Tu yao and Tai Wei would be getting punished, the brotherly bond would be strong, even Sui he wouldn’t have to stoop this low, even mu Ci will be alive he could have spent sometime with his daughter. But this wasn’t the story it was just about selfish love not selfless love in the end. I was laughing when Jin mi was telling run yu that he doesn’t understand what love is. I just had one que if everything remains the same except Jin mi was in love with run yu but Xe feng tricked her into marrying him ..will still everyone will be like that Xe feng was evil ...I m sure Everyone will still be happy as the main lead was good looking. The ending was not justified in this show and in the princess agent. Next time I m not going to watch any drama like these ...it’s just painful and makes me keep thinking how can everyone is so cruel to just one person.

I cried because Run yu end up being a lonely immortal once again. All alone to rule the heavenly realms by himself.I really loved Jin mi and Xu feng in the beginning. But as time went on. Jin min made some stupid terrible mistakes, that really angered me. To blame Run yu to why she killed Xu feng. Yes he end up finding out after that Xu feng didn’t murder her father and step mother. He never forced her to do it. That was her choice and her choice alone. Run yu was the most saddest complex character in the show. He really didn’t have anyone. It might of seem that Xu feng loved his brother but at the same time he was very selfish towards Run yu. Xu feng was just so oblivious to everything that had happened between Run yu and their parents. He knew all the crimes they have committed but yet he still didn’t do a damn thing about it. All because he only cared for one thing Jinmi. He just couldn’t give the one thing up that could give Run yu some light into his immortal life.I also had the same thoughts as you. A lot of other viewers just couldn’t understand Run yus character and why he did what he did. He was only known to be manipulative and possessive. This innocent soul was broken. There was no way he could come back from that. He stayed true to him self and seeked out revenge to put away the bad people. The writers build up this character so that people can understand where he was coming from . The suffering and pain he had to endure. I’m actually glad that kuang lu was the only one that understood him completely. Run yu loved Jin mi more then anything. It proved a lot with the sacrifices he made for her and it was evident. I never watch princess agents. But I heard that was also a huge let down.

I did not end watching the Drama I watched till episode 45. This is the first time for me to love the antagonist more than the protagonist. I hope Runyu will find a girl that will love him not Jinmi for me. I shed more tears when Runyu’s biological mother died and when He was punished by the heavenly empress than When Jinmi tried to stopped the war. I don’t know if I am the one cheering Runyu on that part. No hate in here, just my opinion😊
Runyu is the best strategist in this drama despite having practically non existent support from other immortals except his faithful assistant Kuang Lu.
I’m on ep. 47 and am pretty much watching for Runyu only😭😭. Don’t worry, I know all the spoilers. I “love” how viewers say he’s obsessive yet Xufeng is as obsessive, if not more, about Jinmi. Xufeng also manipulated so many situations yet his love is considered eternal and pure🤮. Not everything is black and white, every one of them made mistakes yet Runyu is the only vilified one. The Empress practically tries to kill JM, his so-called eternal love, in front of him but Xufeng asks them to forgive yet he’s triggered when his bodyguard is killed?! Once Xufeng encountered the first NO in his life, he plays every situation yet he is revered. Fox Fairy acts as if Xufeng the only nephew. He never refers to Runyu as his nephew. He’s not a matchmaker, he’s a super manipulator. I don’t know how I’m going to complete this series. Xufeng and Jinmi can have each other, seriously.
Yeah the Moon Immortal a.k.a march maker from the start even they knew that Jinmi is already engaged to Night Immortal they are intervening like I can see he do have a favoritism😂 I stopped watching it, I don’t know from the start of the drama I skipped a lot of scenes which involves the main lead. I shed a lot of tears to Runyu than the final battle between the two brothers.
Divinemvs I read a translation of the novel but yes! Runyu does kiss Jinmi often and Jinmi doesn’t pull away most of the time. The tv show just broke my heart so I went in search of the book because deep down I knew Runyu was kissing her in the book, I just knew the author gave that much to Runyu. I wish the story was more about Jinmi loving both brothers, like how her mother loved two men. i’d give anything to read about Jinmi and Runyu in love. Or just Runyu in love and being happy. I may have to write my own fanfic I guess.
Yes I’ve also read somewhere that Jinmi oftens sleeps next to Run Yu as if it’s okay for them to.This is why novels are always the best. When Run Yu didn’t get a happy ending it broked me as well. It was almost like a cliff hanger for him. Divinemvs The scene where Jinmi tells Runyu that he can have mistresses (she meant Kuang Lu) after they are married, and Runyu gets angry. But in the book, Runyu shows a little emotion when Jinmi mentions Kuang Lu. So I think in the book the author was trying to give fans hope for Runyu. The only thing I liked about the book was Runyu got to be close to Jinmi for a little while. He got to hug and kiss her and not be turned away, at least for a short time. Could you tell me where the fanfic is? I’m most anxious to read some 😍
Even though I didn’t ship him with kuang lu . She was there to at least give him comfort and sincerity. So it’s on archive on our own. Just search his name and put fan fiction .It should come up as flowers & ice. I’m sure this will make you feel a lot better after you read it. There’s a few stories about him? But you will find it as you browse through them.
I feel Runyus pain and understand why he came to the point he had to take that path of no return. It was all thats left he thinks he can do to have or at least keep his love that was meant for him from the very start. At some point I hated the main leads because they are the reason they got to that point. Hated Jinmi more for saying she missed the gentle and kind fish fairy. Bitch he was still the kind and gentle guy at least to her even though she was the first one to betray him.She was blinded and overwelmed with the thoughts of her love for xufeng she couldn't see Runyus love. Such a hypocrite for saying he doesn't even know what is love! ugh.
For the people who hates runyu for what he did it’s because no one cared for him or treated him right example his mother’s death he was mourning by hisself we all know that the maid liked him but since he had already fallen for jinmi for her personality and kindness he was blinded
I think, The maid is the most selfless character in this series. He loves Runyu so much, enough for her to help him get the girl and always stay by his side when all the ppl and the world turn on him. Even though Runyu never see him more than a maid, she doesn't care. That's what a called selfless love. The love far greater than any kind of love.
When it comes to Runyu at beginning I really wanted him to be with Jin mi but after his mother death I started to see him and Jin mi should just stay friends because Jin mi always been his best friend that he can relate too. The ending of his story broke my heart, I feel like he always put Jin mi first before himself that he eventually end up alone. I just wanted him to be happy , he always put others before himself when he finally put himself first, he lost part of himself.
At one point I couldn't watch the drama anymore, it just felt wrong with everything that RunYu had to suffer. With this video I could get a glimpse of what I couldn't see and I have to say I'm not happy. Hate this drama ):
Run yu is anti hero character who deserve Hug & love. His world too cruel for him. My heart break even 7 years passing by. Yunxi play this character even better than the main role.

I was reading one! Author just added another mystical female character who was responsible for dream's warehouse/storage place. Runyu and she had deep connection steaming from hard and unhappy childhood. She was heavily burned (her arms), that's why she got such position on the back shore of that Cosmic River. Story was beautiful, author knew original novel really well. May be I will translate some day.
I am upset with all of you who say that Phoenix did not not grow through out the story. Jin Mi and Xu Feng actually grow a lot in this story. I adore Run Yu and the reason I cry so much for this drama, even after my most beloved characters got together, is him. He was so hurt and lonely, but love you cannot force or control. Phoenix went from prince, to mortal, to betrayed, loosing everything, family, love and his brother. Becomes a demon,forgives despite his hurt and looses the most loved person. Saves his brother and waits through 500 years of heart break to see her again. Run Yu only obsessed on his revenge and his love for Jin Mi was not enough to save him from that path. His brother, Xu Feng helped him understand the consequences of what he did and my greatest wish ish that he sees one day how much Kuang Lu lovea him. I love Run Yu, I hope he let's go of the pain. He punished the people that caused him so much hurt but Xu Feng has always loved him.

@@divinemvs2374 First things first. Xu Feng fell in love with Jin Mi and openly declared it in front of Run Yu, the flower fairies and to the heavens. No body knew who she really was apart from those that kept the secret and help create the mess, the flower fairies. Can you imagine how heartbreaking it is to suddenly know that the woman you love becomes suddenly the fiancé of his beloved brother because it was decided thousands of years before. He did not fall in love with Jin Mi to hurt his brother, they didn't know. Phoenix warned his mother not to hurt Jin Mi, but than again, if I find out today that my parents have been cruel, I would not suddenly stop loving them. He even apologized to his brother for his mother's actions. Can you really blame XuFeng for his parents actions? He did not want power or belittle his brother, he just wanted to continue to love Jin Mi. Run Yu knew they loved each other, he got engaged to Jin Mi because of their parents promise and not because Jin Mi deceived him. She is as much a victim of their parents decisions, as Run Yu and XuFeng. She could not control the unfeeling pill she had inside her, and despite that she fell deeply in love with Phoenix. She did not want to hurt Run Yu but because of her Run Yu continued his revenge to his brother. She was manipulated by him to kill the person she loves, and how did XuFeng deserve death in that way? It is one thing to feel sorry about RunYu and another to say that XuFeng is not innocent. Who did he kill? Who did he manipulate? Love is something that cannot be conquered, that was Rin Yu's mistake. He truly loved YinMi, or maybe desperately needed to feel loved after all the hurt we went through but that doesn't make YinMi and XuFeng the bad people here. After XuFeng the most I have cried for is RunYu, especially when he is all alone in that throne room. It broke my heart, he also accepted his wrongdoings. I just hope that in season 2 he will love and not be alone anymore. I cannot blame Phoenix for fiercely loving JinMi, that was painful and emotional to watch. All he strived for was her, not power, not revenge, just her. That is what makes Phoenix the hero in my eyes and Run Yu the hole in my heart.

@Rain Cloud Sometimes I wish run yu would stop. But it was too late for him to stop. And the fact that he felt betrayed by his own father and the evil empress. He was left alone to endure it. Xu feng didn’t strive for power nor revenge. I agree But he was so sprung on love that he didn’t worry about what was going on. He just wanted jin mi . But he also maybe coulda make that sacrifice for ry since he lost everything. Jinmi was the only thing he saw as purity. With Xu feng having to go through betrayal and even being killed. That was jinmi weak conscience believing that he was the culprit.So she made that decision to do that.Xu feng had to pay for his parents evil doings even though he was innocent. He had to be caught in the middle of that.That ended tragically for him.Either way both characters made some mistakes. As ry mention he got the beginning wrong and xufeng got the ending wrong. @@divinemvs2374 Runyu was attacked when Xu Feng was in the mortal world. It was done on purpose by the Empress because she knew Xu Feng would not stand by and watch his brother get hurt. I don't think Run Yu would have been happy to be handed over Jinmi out of pity. She fell in love with Xu Feng, the heart can't be controlled. What happened was inevitable, what I really liked is that Phoenix remained loyal to his brother but did not betray his heart. The two brothers are like the Ying and Yang, neither one entirely evil, nor the other entirely noble. You know, I am really happy we managed to agree to disagree on the little things. hi i m back i had little discussion with my frnd but some que r unanswered 1. Just becoz xe feng met her first, so he decided that he should be with her and did everything to be with her, even ignoring his own brother’s feelings and her status as his sister in law. 2. If xe feng was really wanted to redeem for what his parents did then, he should have helped run yu in getting the happiness he deserved…. 3. Jin mi has never experienced the outside world…and xe feng was the first person she met, so can her feeling be called as love?? if that’s love then what run yu said about she falling in love with him if he would have met her earlier isn’t wrong. I have seen many drama where the female lead first loved someone else and then falls for another....but here its like first come first serve basis. 4. was it right for xe feng to keep pursuing jin mi when she herself accepted the engagement ??bcoz ultimately as per status she was his sister in law 5. If instead of xe feng, run yu had followed jin mi in the mortal realm, will moon immortal would do the same? Tie him with her then ofc she will fall in love with run yu as he has the power to make couple. Also xe feng tampered with her redemption but still pardoned why ??? bcoz he is the legitimate son, bcoz I m damn sure run yu wouldn’t have the same pleasure bcoz of his birth. so i believe xe feng just wanted to have some uninterrupted romance with her.....so much efforts... 6. Even though jin mi was incapable of loving someone, she did have other feelings. If she is capable enough to trap empress in her trap, how come she doesn’t know what she is doing. She is the one who decided to kill xe feng but in the end she put all the blame on run yu. 7. Run yu always helped jin mi and xe feng but when he needed them the most what were they doing ??? does they even know how much he has suffered ??? everyone has different nature but when u r there brother or friend its ur right to understand him and help him..... but here they both was busy in romance. 8. why jin mi only knows about her mother's death but not how the emperor raped his mother ??? She neglected her duties and responsibility, I would say she was arrogant, selfish and self centered about her feeling towards xe feng and that’s why keeps on saying that’s love. Therefore I can’t really say whether it’s even a love story or not…? Love and responsibility r equally important, otherwise why water immortal would will live after the death of floral immortal ...so many things just doesn't makes sense.....
I don't know if you are interested in this topic anymore or not, but I have watched this show recently and I would like to answer some of your points. 1)every lead character in this drama got what they wished for the most. 2) now for run yu, he himself in ep 63 said he wished for throne the most (conversation with xu feng), and from the starting runyu wanted jinmi to be with her to ease his loneliness. (he himself said in 58 even if she doesn't love him, he wants her to be with him all the time that's why he repaired yun elixir seriously (what do you consider a human being for is she a doll or something that she has to sacrifice her love and feelings in order to stay with him, that is pure possesiveness and selfish behaviour.. It is not love). 3)all people are saying run yu is lonely now, what about xau luang, she was always with him and loved him, but he never loved her. That is the same case with jin mi, run yu was with her and saved her many times but she loved xu feng. Also the drama gave him chance that he could marry jinmi, but then who would have committed mutiny and captured the throne, and plotted to kill his brother. He had a choice either throne and revenge, or jinmi he choose first throne and revenge over her and that back fired. Otherwise if yun elixir had not come of jin mi would still mary him unknowingly. Sorry but life only gives one chance he chose throne and that's what he got. This was about run yu whom most of people think got nothing.But he got the thing he wanted the most revenge and throne. Not the thing he deserved, that is mutual love with someone. Now you think xu feng and jinmi should have considered responsibility over love, If you have time pls read it its my sincere request and if you not considered this reply worthy then sorry for wasting your time I will explain point wise as you have done.
1) okay "xu feng met her first and decided to be with her always," Okay how many times do you think xu feng confessed his love for jin mi ,even before he knew that she was water immortal daughter he was confessing right from episode 8.but jin mi could not reciprocate because of yun elixir". As for run yu even after he knew that she was water immortals daughter instead of going to jinmi he went to her father to manipulate him to fix the engagement.because he knew water immortal said he would only allow the person jin mi loves to be married with her.If you love the girl go for the girl first not her parents.Secondly "Xu feng ignoring his brothers feelings" let me ask you this if you love a girl truly and she also loved you ,but then you suddenly knew tht she will be engaged to your brother, will you let her go with your brother.atleast i wouldnt . If you let her go because of some engagement then have you truly loved her.and first of all this engagement was a complete hoax if run yu had not repaired the the yun ellixir the jin mi would ave cancelled engagement the next day itself.how many times she confronted her father that she loved xu feng. 2)why do he have to pay for his parents mistakes ,he has always tried to help everyone to the best of his power ,in both heaven and demon realm ,thats why his soldiers ,his friends always respected him and helped him even when he was banished .he was always respected as god of war ,who fought with his soldiers not as some brat who like to bully everyone because he is the brat of heavenly emperor. He always helped runyu ,first to clear his name in first case when no one believed in run yu xu feng did,also when after run yu used monsters powers to fight who was the one to save run yu it was xu feng. 3)First jin mi not loved xu feng because she met her first but because he was the only one who loved,he even gave his life for her not once but twice and also protected ,cared for her without manipulating her apart from her father, .even her own mother ripped her of the feelings of love jinmi said it herself even if her mothers intentions were true she shouldnt have done it. so its not first come first serve basis.run yu always tried to marry her by using various methods right from yun elixir to manipulating her father. 4)first engagement was a complete hoax as explained earlier .secondly i ask the same question to you was it right for run yu to pursue jinmi even after she said that she always loved xu feng.after yun elixir broke. 5) yes firstly moon immortal will not have done that for run yu because he a have a soft side towards xu feng. secondly xu feng never tempered with her redemption . "xu feng wanted un interrupted love time". give me a break man . xu feng wanted her to be the saintess so that she can marry no one in mortal realm remember.also when he jumbed in mortal realm to protect her he was born as a mortal with no memories .so how has he tampered her redemption for his own benefit.even his own life was hanging on strand of a hair of run yu's adobted brother puchi 6)yes jin mi is capable of having feelings for revenge for her father ,also the fact that even if run yu didnt kill her father but who was the one who changed the colour of dream bubble it was run yu .which led her to believe that xu feng killed her father.infact it was the main reason.so hasn't he manipulated her. so isnt he the the one to be blamed. 7)yes run yu always helped them probably jinmi not xu feng. and now the time when he needed them the most ,that is when his mother was being killed .they were in mortal realm saving their own life jinmi from heavenly empress ,and xu feng from demon realm they were both being targeted by immortality arrow. not only busy in romance and in my opinion it was nothing short of a tragedy, they both suffered from heavy losses in mortal realm it is not that they were enjoying their leiasure time in mortal realm. now for jinmi : When run yu asked in one of episodes that will she do all that for him what she done for xu feng she said she would do everything not because "she loved him but beacause she owed him so much". xu feng helped and trusted run yu countless times even when no one trusted him.also after death of jinmi when run yu was about to die beacause of his fusion with monster who helped him it was xu feng. 8)she doesnt know emperor raped her mother beacause nobody told her. yes jinmi is selfish towards her love towards xu feng beacuse she know knew after the yun elixir is gone that xu feng always would love and care for her and would even give his life without ever lying to her.as she would do it for thim. this drama is perfect example of love story" xu feng and jinmi love is considered selfish because both of them would sacrifice anything or anyone for each others hapinness". whereas will run yu let go of jinmi when he knew that she would be more happy with xu feng as she loved xu feng. he only wanted jinmi as a emotionless person beside him to quench his thirst for lonliness. also there is a hidden hate towards xu feng in all this mostly beacuse he is considered as perfect son with everything in his hands and always respected and admired.but all of them are wrong Xu feng has earned his respect as god of war who fought many battle with his soldiers and helped everyone one not looking down on anyone not considering them chess pieces.he is respected beacause of this not beacuse he is son of heavenly emperor. also how many times jin mi has messed with him, played with him how many times has he confessed to jinmi ,he is far from perfect ,he is the person who cried ,fought ,bled and ultimately died not once but twice for his love.and tragically one time killed by the hand of jinmi whom he loved the most and still people consider he has everything and refuse to look how hard he had fought to be with jinmi.
@@tyson1933 for me. Runyu really loves JinMi. I just don't understand why people keep saying that he only use Jinmi for his own sake. But it was not. From what i understand, if one of them (Xufeng of Runyu) give up on JinMi, the things would not be complicated lile this. There is no death, no hate, and both of the brothers would still have good relationship. I keep asking, why dont Xu feng give up on JinMi. Iknow he loves Jinmi but he should knows too that JinMi is his sis in law/his brother's fiance. But he doesn't care at all about his brother's feeling. He sleeps with JinMi and it really broke my heart. Just imagine your fiancé sleep with your siblings. Insane. Plus, at the beginning Jin Mi doesn't really have feeling for Xufeng. If he gives up on JinMi i'm sure Jinmi will open his heart to runyu. Plus at the beginning all that Jin mi cares is to make her spiritual power high so that's why he sleep with Xu Feng because she think if she sleeps with hm she can make her spiritual power high. After they sleep together, Jinmi went back to the house like nothing happen.

Though, they think Runyu is evil, but can they think why he did that??? Why don't Xu feng understand what does her parents done to both Runyu's mother and JinMi's parents. Is Xu feng doesn't really feel guilty? Yet, still he take JinMi from his brother. Then blame Runyu that he is the reason his parents death. But can Xu Feng thinks too? WHY RUNYU DID ALL THE THING? nope. Well, i'm a little dissapointed of this drama as well the novel, but at least the novel is lil better than the drama. In the end, this love story is just about selfish love not selfless love.

I talked with another fan about this and in the show he was not really evil and in the end took responsibility for his actions. No one cared about his suffering, his mother’s death or the evil of the emperor and empress. It looks like he gets a lot of hate because he is the 2nd lead and Leo is not as popular.

So many comments, but I also want to vent. I just watched this drama, and I also like Runyu more than XeFeng. Truthfully, I think Jin Mi is also super inconsiderate, lacks empathy, and selfish. It's like everyone ignores that Runyu was being mistreated. The bias is so frustrating to watch. It's like watching people obviously treating one child way better over another. I also feel like the shift in her love came during the time in the mortal world which was manipulated because the love god tied red threads around the two. I never understood the love god. He was so bias towards his favorite nephew.
Runyu was waiting for his fiancé forever. When it was revealed that she was the fiancé that he had been waiting for, he was ecstatic because he actually likes her too. Runyu wanted to go to the mortal world with her, but he wasn't able to and have to obey the god's law. XeFeng jumped in and asked the god of love to tie his fate together with Jin Mi (so doesn't that mean that her love that developed for him during her time in the mortal world was manipulated by the red thread?) Runyu had to watch her develop feelings for his brother as his brother was seducing her. She came back and even though she was engaged with Runyu, she decides to sleep with XeFeng (like have some respect, jesus!). All these during when Runyu was heartbroken from his mother's death. No one really empathized with him, but when it's their own parents that die, then they make a big fuss. He had to bitterly comply and accused his own mother in order to not get in trouble, and everyone else just let it be. In the end, I don't blame him for turning evil. He had to take care of himself because he didn't have people paving the path for him.

I just finished watching this and I have never been more angry and sad for a character than Runyu. His story was the real tragedy, it broke my heart. He lived a life of pain, abuse and loneliness. And no one, not family or friends, even showed the least bit of sympathy towards him. Everyone was biased towards XF. When his mother was brutally murdered in front of him while he begged his stepmother to spare her...I cried. And to see him hunched in the corner of his bed distraught and knowing no one cared about the pain he was going through.
His story broke my heart. And all the other characters pissed me off. When XF kept making the big deal about his parents to Runyu, conveniently ignoring that his mother killed Runyu's mother and his entire family from his maternal side. The audacity.
I'm angry just thinking about the injustices he had to stomach through the show.
I know this is not real life but my heart’s in pieces.. Run yu derseve an happy ending. He deserves to be happy just once! This whole show was about selfish love and how love can blind a person. Run yu done more for Jin mi than feng but because of love she was blinded and didn’t care. Y can’t they just give an happy ending for all of them. If they want to paint Run yu as a bad guy why show us his past. The painful stuff he went through to win our heart and just to leave it broken. This show was too selfish. Only concerning for the main leads. After the I’ve seen all the painful stuff Run yu went thru I became fond of him and I was more into his story than jin mi or xu feng hoping him happiness but not once was he given any happiness but disaster and disappointments after disappointments. Hope directors would realize their mistake and not make the same mistake again.
So trueee, they want us to see runyu as bad guy but give him painful past, if the story only care for the ml and fl please make sure their story more heartbreaking and more sacrifice towards each other compared to second lead😤

I love Run You, he is my favorite character of the serie, and I think that the great job made by the actor really fade Xu Feng. Indeed I only accepted the main couple because I love Jin Mi and I wanted her to be happy, but in my heart I really wanted that she would ended up with Run Yu, He have made so much for her, and I really love him, even when he was ''evil''. In Comparison to Run Yu, Xu Feng was a very weak character, I don't think that he match Jin Mi - only in the human realm, that I like Xu Feng -.
You are absolutely right. Run yu’s character was fading out xufeng where it put in the shadows most of the time. There was no character development with xufeng. Only he gets the girl. He started out fine in the beginning and then he sanked down so quickly. Run Yu character was so much more complex then any character in the show. I really wanted him to be happy but at the end he went back to being that lonely night immortal :/

I appreciate the movie team that they cast him as a main character. Drama was done so beautifully, so there is virtually no aesthetic comparison. Of course, "10 miles" is the best in my books, but "ashes's" beauty just on such high level, so I cannot watch other dramas anymore. The standards are set, I want to see Luo in his prime time! I hope, I will see him again in a heavenly creature role...
He’s just so captivating.He fits that scenery so well.I love love his acting.He was the only person that could make me tear through out the entire series.I really don’t know who can top this man.Same I’m really looking forward to more of his work in his future dramas.Especially ancient fantasy, count me in. This is where Runyu's fans are 😅 i was beginning to think I was the only logical person with this series.
I'm currently watching Luo Yunxi in "And the winner is love" and watching him act a graceful and gentle-natured (albeit flirty) character reminded me of Runyu :( Watched this drama 1-2 years ago and tbh, whenever I try to recall the drama all I can think of is the bitterness and conflict I felt because I liked and supported Runyu and understood his actions but at the same time found it difficult to accept them. The thought of rewatching has popped up in my mind many times, but every time I remember the pain and loneliness Runyu goes through I decide against the thought :( yet I miss Runyu a lot too... Gosh... watching this made tears well up. Great job editing this video. Runyu was truly such a tragic character. I really hope Luo Yunxi only has good leading roles in good dramas from now on TT I want him to become as popular as Deng Lun and Yang Zi too.

I had very high hopes from this drama but in the end it was a led down ....first if they want to show a love story then instead of involving some painful characters it better to involve mean and evil one which can be hated easily.

Run yu past really made me felt so bad and I was really questioning like why someone is just destined to suffer for his whole life. people say they understand run yu suffering, it’s easy to say that u do realise about someone’s pain and suffering but it’s really difficult to understand, in all these years of run yu suffering it involves 4000+ years, which consists of so many years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds ...in real life we can’t even bear one wrong thing just imagine how much he would have to bear is beyond limits but even so it didn’t changed him but the moment he saw his mother dying for no valid reason by Tu Yao and she getting away with it and his so called birth was just a joke by Tai Wei and even saw his fiancé getting intimate with other person how could he not loose his temper ....he became angry and jealous bcoz of how nobody ever cared about his feeling not even his own brother. I know love is important so is family ...how come the one who had everyone and everything couldn’t give up on just one person that his brother wanted who had such a harsh and lonely life ...I have seen Tai Wei and even the moon immortal being so biased.
To be honest Jin mi and Xe feng worked on the principle of I, me and myself.
They both didn’t have any idea how much run yu has suffered and what evil deeds that Tu Yao and Tai Wei has done including raping Jin mi mom..I remember Jin mi saying to Xe feng about the scars but does she have any idea about the scars run yu had, to what extent he went in order to revive her ..
Xe feng went after Jin min in mortal realm to protect her but instead it was all about romancing with each other. where else it was run yu who protected her against mu ci. I agree that killing Xe feng was wrong he shouldn’t have provoked her but Jin mi is equally guilty as she was the one who actually stabbed him, so what she couldn’t feel love but she could still use her brain.
Further love is not about physical relation they could have waited after the engagement was called off but they didn’t and it was just so cheap and disgraceful. If physical relation is so important than run yu had many chances but literally that guy did everything but never forced himself on her ...which is very respectful ... if really Xe feng had given up on her after knowing she was engaged to run yu then run yu wouldn’t have to suffer, Jin mi would be happy after sometime, wind and water mortal would be alive may be even su li, Tu yao and Tai Wei would be getting punished, the brotherly bond would be strong, even Sui he wouldn’t have to stoop this low, even mu Ci will be alive he could have spent sometime with his daughter. But this wasn’t the story it was just about selfish love not selfless love in the end. I was laughing when Jin mi was telling run yu that he doesn’t understand what love is.
I just had one que if everything remains the same except Jin mi was in love with run yu but Xe feng tricked her into marrying him ..will still everyone will be like that Xe feng was evil ...I m sure Everyone will still be happy as the main lead was good looking. The ending was not justified in this show and in the princess agent. Next time I m not going to watch any drama like these ...it’s just painful and makes me keep thinking how can everyone is so cruel to just one person.

I cried because Run yu end up being a lonely immortal once again. All alone to rule the heavenly realms by himself.I really loved Jin mi and Xu feng in the beginning. But as time went on. Jin min made some stupid terrible mistakes, that really angered me. To blame Run yu to why she killed Xu feng. Yes he end up finding out after that Xu feng didn’t murder her father and step mother. He never forced her to do it. That was her choice and her choice alone. Run yu was the most saddest complex character in the show. He really didn’t have anyone. It might of seem that Xu feng loved his brother but at the same time he was very selfish towards Run yu. Xu feng was just so oblivious to everything that had happened between Run yu and their parents. He knew all the crimes they have committed but yet he still didn’t do a damn thing about it. All because he only cared for one thing Jinmi. He just couldn’t give the one thing up that could give Run yu some light into his immortal life.I also had the same thoughts as you. A lot of other viewers just couldn’t understand Run yus character and why he did what he did. He was only known to be manipulative and possessive. This innocent soul was broken. There was no way he could come back from that. He stayed true to him self and seeked out revenge to put away the bad people. The writers build up this character so that people can understand where he was coming from . The suffering and pain he had to endure. I’m actually glad that kuang lu was the only one that understood him completely. Run yu loved Jin mi more then anything. It proved a lot with the sacrifices he made for her and it was evident. I never watch princess agents. But I heard that was also a huge let down.
@@divinemvs2374 exactly and really Many times I wished that kuang lu should tell the whole background story of run yu to Xe feng and Jin mi while they were marrying so that they can realize what they have done to him ,....😭😭😭😭😭 and how much he have done to save Jin min ..,cutting his 7 veins and healing her every time she hurts herself ....😭😭😭 what a cheap lusty person was Tai Wei who raped zei feng and how that cunning witch Tu Yao made run yu and su li Life hell....😭😭 why only Xe feng and Jin mi can confront him why not he confronted them...even that high priestess said na saving a thousand life is mercy which is above everything .....then why Xe feng didn’t gave up on Jin mi while she didn’t have strong feelings for him ...she could have married to run yu then no body has to die and even no fighting which costs so many soldiers to die for nothing ... yes its the same kind of ending the 2nd lead was cheerful and kind but his family was cruelly executed by the emperor out of suspicion and his so called best frnd knew but didn't act while he had the chance to save him...so in the end he started taking revenge against the injustice ....but yes he also made some bad decisions but was not out of the line .. just bcoz as per the novel he was bad ..people started talking shit about his character ....i was wth the novel and drama story might be same but the presentation is very different .

I did not end watching the Drama I watched till episode 45. This is the first time for me to love the antagonist more than the protagonist. I hope Runyu will find a girl that will love him not Jinmi for me. I shed more tears when Runyu’s biological mother died and when He was punished by the heavenly empress than When Jinmi tried to stopped the war. I don’t know if I am the one cheering Runyu on that part. No hate in here, just my opinion😊
Runyu is the best strategist in this drama despite having practically non existent support from other immortals except his faithful assistant Kuang Lu.

I’m on ep. 47 and am pretty much watching for Runyu only😭😭. Don’t worry, I know all the spoilers. I “love” how viewers say he’s obsessive yet Xufeng is as obsessive, if not more, about Jinmi. Xufeng also manipulated so many situations yet his love is considered eternal and pure🤮. Not everything is black and white, every one of them made mistakes yet Runyu is the only vilified one. The Empress practically tries to kill JM, his so-called eternal love, in front of him but Xufeng asks them to forgive yet he’s triggered when his bodyguard is killed?! Once Xufeng encountered the first NO in his life, he plays every situation yet he is revered. Fox Fairy acts as if Xufeng the only nephew. He never refers to Runyu as his nephew. He’s not a matchmaker, he’s a super manipulator. I don’t know how I’m going to complete this series. Xufeng and Jinmi can have each other, seriously.
Yeah the Moon Immortal a.k.a march maker from the start even they knew that Jinmi is already engaged to Night Immortal they are intervening like I can see he do have a favoritism😂 I stopped watching it, I don’t know from the start of the drama I skipped a lot of scenes which involves the main lead. I shed a lot of tears to Runyu than the final battle between the two brothers.

Divinemvs I read a translation of the novel but yes! Runyu does kiss Jinmi often and Jinmi doesn’t pull away most of the time. The tv show just broke my heart so I went in search of the book because deep down I knew Runyu was kissing her in the book, I just knew the author gave that much to Runyu. I wish the story was more about Jinmi loving both brothers, like how her mother loved two men. i’d give anything to read about Jinmi and Runyu in love. Or just Runyu in love and being happy. I may have to write my own fanfic I guess.
Yes I’ve also read somewhere that Jinmi oftens sleeps next to Run Yu as if it’s okay for them to.This is why novels are always the best. When Run Yu didn’t get a happy ending it broked me as well. It was almost like a cliff hanger for him. It was up to the audience to wonder and speculate what happens to him in aftermath.Sighs, I really hope the writers will consider making a sequel just about him.His character was just so complex and amazing. Divinemvs The scene where Jinmi tells Runyu that he can have mistresses (she meant Kuang Lu) after they are married, and Runyu gets angry. But in the book, Runyu shows a little emotion when Jinmi mentions Kuang Lu. So I think in the book the author was trying to give fans hope for Runyu. The only thing I liked about the book was Runyu got to be close to Jinmi for a little while. He got to hug and kiss her and not be turned away, at least for a short time. Even though I didn’t ship him with kuang lu . She was there to at least give him comfort and sincerity. So it’s on archive on our own. Just search his name and put fan fiction .It should come up as flowers & ice. I’m sure this will make you feel a lot better after you read it. There’s a few stories about him? I feel Runyus pain and understand why he came to the point he had to take that path of no return. It was all thats left he thinks he can do to have or at least keep his love that was meant for him from the very start. At some point I hated the main leads because they are the reason they got to that point. Hated Jinmi more for saying she missed the gentle and kind fish fairy. Bitch he was still the kind and gentle guy at least to her even though she was the first one to betray him.She was blinded and overwelmed with the thoughts of her love for xufeng she couldn't see Runyus love. Such a hypocrite for saying he doesn't even know what is love! ugh.

I think, The maid is the most selfless character in this series. He loves Runyu so much, enough for her to help him get the girl and always stay by his side when all the ppl and the world turn on him. Even though Runyu never see him more than a maid, she doesn't care. That's what a called selfless love. The love far greater than any kind of love.

When it comes to Runyu at beginning I really wanted him to be with Jin mi but after his mother death I started to see him and Jin mi should just stay friends because Jin mi always been his best friend that he can relate too. The ending of his story broke my heart, I feel like he always put Jin mi first before himself that he eventually end up alone. I just wanted him to be happy , he always put others before himself when he finally put himself first, he lost part of himself.

I was reading one! Author just added another mystical female character who was responsible for dream's warehouse/storage place. Runyu and she had deep connection steaming from hard and unhappy childhood. She was heavily burned (her arms), that's why she got such position on the back shore of that Cosmic River. Story was beautiful, author knew original novel really well. May be I will translate some day.

I am upset with all of you who say that Phoenix did not not grow through out the story. Jin Mi and Xu Feng actually grow a lot in this story. I adore Run Yu and the reason I cry so much for this drama, even after my most beloved characters got together, is him. He was so hurt and lonely, but love you cannot force or control. Phoenix went from prince, to mortal, to betrayed, loosing everything, family, love and his brother. Becomes a demon,forgives despite his hurt and looses the most loved person. Saves his brother and waits through 500 years of heart break to see her again.
Run Yu only obsessed on his revenge and his love for Jin Mi was not enough to save him from that path. His brother, Xu Feng helped him understand the consequences of what he did and my greatest wish ish that he sees one day how much Kuang Lu lovea him. I love Run Yu, I hope he let's go of the pain. He punished the people that caused him so much hurt but Xu Feng has always loved him.
@Rain Cloud You have every right to your opinion about Xufeng. Don’t get me wrong I really loved xufeng in the beginning. But he was not seen as a really complex character compared to run yu. Tbh . If anything Jinmi really just ruined the relationship of the two brothers . She made such stupid decisions that really pissed a lot of viewers off. He did lost everything as well but again he was really blinded by a lot of evil things his parents has done. He was aware of jin mi and runyu engagement but he intervened as well. @@divinemvs2374 First things first. Xu Feng fell in love with Jin Mi and openly declared it in front of Run Yu, the flower fairies and to the heavens. No body knew who she really was apart from those that kept the secret and help create the mess, the flower fairies. Can you imagine how heartbreaking it is to suddenly know that the woman you love becomes suddenly the fiancé of his beloved brother because it was decided thousands of years before. He did not fall in love with Jin Mi to hurt his brother, they didn't know. Phoenix warned his mother not to hurt Jin Mi, but than again, if I find out today that my parents have been cruel, I would not suddenly stop loving them. He even apologized to his brother for his mother's actions. Can you really blame XuFeng for his parents actions? He did not want power or belittle his brother, he just wanted to continue to love Jin Mi. Run Yu knew they loved each other, he got engaged to Jin Mi because of their parents promise and not because Jin Mi deceived him. She is as much a victim of their parents decisions, as Run Yu and XuFeng. She could not control the unfeeling pill she had inside her, and despite that she fell deeply in love with Phoenix. She did not want to hurt Run Yu but because of her Run Yu continued his revenge to his brother. She was manipulated by him to kill the person she loves, and how did XuFeng deserve death in that way? It is one thing to feel sorry about RunYu and another to say that XuFeng is not innocent. Who did he kill? Who did he manipulate? Love is something that cannot be conquered, that was Rin Yu's mistake. He truly loved YinMi, or maybe desperately needed to feel loved after all the hurt we went through but that doesn't make YinMi and XuFeng the bad people here. After XuFeng the most I have cried for is RunYu, especially when he is all alone in that throne room. It broke my heart, he also accepted his wrongdoings. I just hope that in season 2 he will love and not be alone anymore. I cannot blame Phoenix for fiercely loving JinMi, that was painful and emotional to watch. All he strived for was her, not power, not revenge, just her. That is what makes Phoenix the hero in my eyes and Run Yu the hole in my heart.

Xu feng didn’t strive for power nor revenge. I agree But he was so sprung on love that he didn’t worry about what was going on. He just wanted jin mi . But he also maybe coulda make that sacrifice for ry since he lost everything. Jinmi was the only thing he saw as purity. With Xu feng having to go through betrayal and even being killed. That was jinmi weak conscience believing that he was the culprit.So she made that decision to do that.Xu feng had to pay for his parents evil doings even though he was innocent. He had to be caught in the middle of that.That ended tragically for him.Either way both characters made some mistakes. As ry mention he got the beginning wrong and xufeng got the ending wrong. @@divinemvs2374 Runyu was attacked when Xu Feng was in the mortal world. It was done on purpose by the Empress because she knew Xu Feng would not stand by and watch his brother get hurt. I don't think Run Yu would have been happy to be handed over Jinmi out of pity. She fell in love with Xu Feng, the heart can't be controlled. What happened was inevitable, what I really liked is that Phoenix remained loyal to his brother but did not betray his heart. The two brothers are like the Ying and Yang, neither one entirely evil, nor the other entirely noble. You know, I am really happy we managed to agree to disagree on the little things. At the end of the day we came here out of Love. This is a fictional story but I think our imagation is what makes humans special. To be able to feel the pain and the joy of a fictional character is not something that every human does. We need more emphatic people that are touched by someone else's struggles. hi i m back i had little discussion with my frnd but some que r unanswered
1. Just becoz xe feng met her first, so he decided that he should be with her and did everything to be with her, even ignoring his own brother’s feelings and her status as his sister in law.
2. If xe feng was really wanted to redeem for what his parents did then, he should have helped run yu in getting the happiness he deserved….
3. Jin mi has never experienced the outside world…and xe feng was the first person she met, so can her feeling be called as love?? if that’s love then what run yu said about she falling in love with him if he would have met her earlier isn’t wrong.
I have seen many drama where the female lead first loved someone else and then falls for another....but here its like first come first serve basis.
4. was it right for xe feng to keep pursuing jin mi when she herself accepted the engagement ??bcoz ultimately as per status she was his sister in law
5. If instead of xe feng, run yu had followed jin mi in the mortal realm, will moon immortal would do the same? Tie him with her then ofc she will fall in love with run yu as he has the power to make couple. Also xe feng tampered with her redemption but still pardoned why ??? bcoz he is the legitimate son, bcoz I m damn sure run yu wouldn’t have the same pleasure bcoz of his birth.
so i believe xe feng just wanted to have some uninterrupted romance with her.....so much efforts...
6. Even though jin mi was incapable of loving someone, she did have other feelings. If she is capable enough to trap empress in her trap, how come she doesn’t know what she is doing. She is the one who decided to kill xe feng but in the end she put all the blame on run yu.

Run yu always helped jin mi and xe feng but when he needed them the most what were they doing ??? does they even know how much he has suffered ??? everyone has different nature but when u r there brother or friend its ur right to understand him and help him..... but here they both was busy in romance.
8. why jin mi only knows about her mother's death but not how the emperor raped his mother ???
She neglected her duties and responsibility, I would say she was arrogant, selfish and self centered about her feeling towards xe feng and that’s why keeps on saying that’s love.
Therefore I can’t really say whether it’s even a love story or not…? Love and responsibility r equally important, otherwise why water immortal would will live after the death of floral immortal ...so many things just doesn't makes sense.....
I don't know if you are interested in this topic anymore or not, but I have watched this show recently and I would like to answer some of your points.
1)every lead character in this drama got what they wished for the most.
2) now for run yu, he himself in ep 63 said he wished for throne the most (conversation with xu feng), and from the starting runyu wanted jinmi to be with her to ease his loneliness. (he himself said in 58 even if she doesn't love him, he wants her to be with him all the time that's why he repaired yun elixir seriously (what do you consider a human being for is she a doll or something that she has to sacrifice her love and feelings in order to stay with him, that is pure possesiveness and selfish behaviour.. It is not love).
3)all people are saying run yu is lonely now, what about xau luang, she was always with him and loved him, but he never loved her. That is the same case with jin mi, run yu was with her and saved her many times but she loved xu feng.
Also the drama gave him chance that he could marry jinmi, but then who would have committed mutiny and captured the throne, and plotted to kill his brother. He had a choice either throne and revenge, or jinmi he choose first throne and revenge over her and that back fired. Otherwise if yun elixir had not come of jin mi would still mary him unknowingly. Sorry but life only gives one chance he chose throne and that's what he got.
This was about run yu whom most of people think got nothing.But he got the thing he wanted the most revenge and throne. Not the thing he deserved, that is mutual love with someone.
Now you think xu feng and jinmi should have considered responsibility over love,

I will explain point wise as you have done.
1) okay "xu feng met her first and decided to be with her always," Okay how many times do you think xu feng confessed his love for jin mi ,even before he knew that she was water immortal daughter he was confessing right from episode 8.but jin mi could not reciprocate because of yun elixir". As for run yu even after he knew that she was water immortals daughter instead of going to jinmi he went to her father to manipulate him to fix the engagement.because he knew water immortal said he would only allow the person jin mi loves to be married with her.If you love the girl go for the girl first not her parents.Secondly "Xu feng ignoring his brothers feelings" let me ask you this if you love a girl truly and she also loved you ,but then you suddenly knew tht she will be engaged to your brother, will you let her go with your brother.atleast i wouldnt . If you let her go because of some engagement then have you truly loved her.and
first of all this engagement was a complete hoax if run yu had not repaired the the yun ellixir the jin mi would ave cancelled engagement the next day itself.how many times she confronted her father that she loved xu feng.
2)why do he have to pay for his parents mistakes ,he has always tried to help everyone to the best of his power ,in both heaven and demon realm ,thats why his soldiers ,his friends always respected him and helped him even when he was banished .he was always respected as god of war ,who fought with his soldiers not as some brat who like to bully everyone because he is the brat of heavenly emperor.
He always helped runyu ,first to clear his name in first case when no one believed in run yu xu feng did,also when after run yu used monsters powers to fight who was the one to save run yu it was xu feng.
3)First jin mi not loved xu feng because she met her first but because he was the only one who loved,he even gave his life for her not once but twice and also protected ,cared for her without manipulating her apart from her father, .even her own mother ripped her of the feelings of love jinmi said it herself even if her mothers intentions were true she shouldnt have done it.
so its not first come first serve basis.run yu always tried to marry her by using various methods right from yun elixir to manipulating her father.
4)first engagement was a complete hoax as explained earlier .secondly i ask the same question to you was it right for run yu to pursue jinmi even after she said that she always loved xu feng.after yun elixir broke.
5) yes firstly moon immortal will not have done that for run yu because he a have a soft side towards xu feng.
secondly xu feng never tempered with her redemption . "xu feng wanted un interrupted love time". give me a break man . xu feng wanted her to be the saintess so that she can marry no one in mortal realm remember.also when he jumbed in mortal realm to protect her he was born as a mortal with no memories .so how has he tampered her redemption for his own benefit.even his own life was hanging on strand of a hair of run yu's adobted brother puchi
6)yes jin mi is capable of having feelings for revenge for her father ,also the fact that even if run yu didnt kill her father but who was the one who changed the colour of dream bubble it was run yu .which led her to believe that xu feng killed her father.infact it was the main reason.so hasn't he manipulated her. so isnt he the the one to be blamed.
7)yes run yu always helped them probably jinmi not xu feng. and now the time when he needed them the most ,that is when his mother was being killed .they were in mortal realm saving their own life jinmi from heavenly empress ,and xu feng from demon realm they were both being targeted by immortality arrow. not only busy in romance and in my opinion it was nothing short of a tragedy, they both suffered from heavy losses in mortal realm it is not that they were enjoying their leiasure time in mortal realm.
now for jinmi : When run yu asked in one of episodes that will she do all that for him what she done for xu feng she said she would do everything not because "she loved him but beacause she owed him so much".
xu feng helped and trusted run yu countless times even when no one trusted him.also after death of jinmi
when run yu was about to die beacause of his fusion with monster who helped him it was xu feng.
8)she doesnt know emperor raped her mother beacause nobody told her.
yes jinmi is selfish towards her love towards xu feng beacuse she know knew after the yun elixir is gone that xu feng always would love and care for her and would even give his life without ever lying to her.as she would do it for thim.
this drama is perfect example of love story" xu feng and jinmi love is considered selfish because both of them would sacrifice anything or anyone for each others hapinness". whereas will run yu let go of jinmi when he knew that she would be more happy with xu feng as she loved xu feng. he only wanted jinmi as a emotionless person beside him to quench his thirst for lonliness.
also there is a hidden hate towards xu feng in all this mostly beacuse he is considered as perfect son with everything in his hands and always respected and admired.but all of them are wrong
Xu feng has earned his respect as god of war who fought many battle with his soldiers and helped everyone one not looking down on anyone not considering them chess pieces.he is respected beacause of this not beacuse he is son of heavenly emperor.
also how many times jin mi has messed with him, played with him how many times has he confessed to jinmi ,he is far from perfect ,he is the person who cried ,fought ,bled and ultimately died not once but twice for his love.and tragically one time killed by the hand of jinmi whom he loved the most and still people consider he has everything and refuse to look how hard he had fought to be with jinmi.

From what i understand, if one of them (Xufeng of Runyu) give up on JinMi, the things would not be complicated lile this. There is no death, no hate, and both of the brothers would still have good relationship. I keep asking, why dont Xu feng give up on JinMi. Plus at the beginning all that Jin mi cares is to make her spiritual power high so that's why he sleep with Xu Feng because she think if she sleeps with hm she can make her spiritual power high. After they sleep together, Jinmi went back to the house like nothing happen.
@@tyson1933 Why Run Yu turn evil?? It is because he feels like no one even care what he has been through, what his true feeling. No one really understand him (except Kuang Lu). Though, they think Runyu is evil, but can they think why he did that??? Why don't Xu feng understand what does her parents done to both Runyu's mother and JinMi's parents. Is Xu feng doesn't really feel guilty? Yet, still he take JinMi from his brother. Then blame Runyu that he is the reason his parents death. But can Xu Feng thinks too? WHY RUNYU DID ALL THE THING? nope. Well, i'm a little dissapointed of this drama as well the novel, but at least the novel is lil better than the drama. In the end, this love story is just about selfish love not selfless love.
