this is why spanish, portuguese, french and italian are called romance languages. with romance languages, the language sounds so good that it’s actually a distinct musical instrument, like a piano or violin or saxophone. it is pure sound that by itself is already pleasant to the ears, distinct from the meaning. so it doesn’t matter if one understands the meaning since there’s also no meaning to the beautiful sounds from a piano or violin or saxophone.
