40 years ago, former activist and rabble-rouser Tim Shadbolt won the mayoralty in Waitemata for the first time, the start of a lengthy career (pre-Invercargill) attaining the the baubles of office. As idiosyncratic a NZ identity that has ever been, Shadbolt was a popular figure, one livened up the regions and the television screens.

Tim concreted a foot Parth at the substation in Henderson so we didn't have to walk up road we named that Parth Shadbolt drive 😂
