Potting new plants for the patio Exterior design Jussi-Pekka Kajaala
I wanted to start with some easy gardening and I planted new plants to pots. I placed the pots to the front patio. They make a huge difference for the whole vibe of the patio. I felt like I needed some deep green next to all the wood and glass and I think I did good job with the way everything now looks. And not just that, I think I did good job with this easy potting task. I want to keep everything pretty natural and be well balanced with my big windows and log house.

I would raise the pots on “pot feet” otherwise it will mark your decking and eventually rot the wood

The bottom of the pots are not flat. They are made for this😅 also there is no chance they will stay there for that long that they could rot the wood😁

I was shouting Hercules! Hercules! When you were carrying those potted plants. Nice job but I would have suggested colorful pots just add a little color to the front deck.

I have pretty tight color palette for the things outdoors. I want to get the colors from nature and everything that is built is hopefully going to be really calming and kind of disappear next to it. The buildings and patios will be grey and then I just add some black and white to it. Plants will be green and flowers will have their colors. So that’s why I kept it pretty plain☺️ it will take a few years to finish my vision but trust me it’s going to be great!!🤩

There are different kind of mixtutes for different kind of plants. I’m not sure if I believe in it either but I wanted to do it kind of right this time. Usually I just use what ever soil I happen to have😅
