As you can see, I'm a big fan of portable synths and music tech! What's your favourite piece of portable gear; anything I need to check out?

For me my favorite piece of gear, is the roll seaboard. Its just so awesome how you don't have to use a mod wheel or pitch bend to change how you want your note to sound.

@@evan_ack Absolutely, I agree with you there!

Love the Pro-2 for the same reasons as the Prophet-6; so many knobs, small size, and the mod-matrix is +++ deep. Also having fun with two boutique JP-08's in chain mode; Incredible analog sound in such a tiny footprint. Lastly, love these: www.moddevices.com/ def. worth checking out if you have not already.

It is fascinating how you build a kind of scaffold using the programmable elements that gives you the freedom to start playing, developing and improvise on your theme. My wife and I saw your Southampton show in early 2018 where your first half set was using what I guess was a variant on this setup and I was lucky enough to be close enough to watch you building the structures on the various bits of kit as you went. Really looking forward to seeing you in Bristol in a few weeks.

There are big Bill Laurance posters in my town.
Never had heard of him, so I looked him up.
Plays with Snarky Puppy...and has a bit of a Nils Frahm vibe in this video.
    I like it!

Awesome run through, this is the type of gear nerdiness I'm all about! What I think makes all these instruments beautiful isn't neccessary just all their technical features but all the amazing sounds that they can create. Great stuff Bill, good luck on tour!

When will you do an American tour? I know that you probably hit it often due to size and popularity, but I can't wait!!!

Hey Bill, the other day I saw a video of a girl who covered U-bhan. I wanted to watch it again, and from my memory I saw you watching it. Maybe it was one one of the recording session streams? iDK, if you know which video I am talking about, I would greatly appreciate if you link it if you have it haha. I know it sounds weird but I can find it anywhere

Bill Laurance : it’s pretty amazing. Unlimited sequence length on unlimited tracks to either internal synth engine or midi and CV outputs, and that’s just the start! 😀
