I do recommend for anyone novice trying this, my experience is to use a fine line brush or a fine tip pencil :) i find that going for an opaque line on the first go is what makes it thick, so almost lightly drag the brush or pencil on your skin. Like a feather like touch ^-^ your face is like a canvas, full of textures. I hope this helps!
