I’m so glad I have something that I can learn about artist here on the internet. So happy not to be fussed at cause I liked music more then TV growing up. I was born in 64 and no games did we have it was TV or radio I loved radio and drove my mom and dad crazy. Brothers liked music but the YV was their thing. I love watching you two you make a beautiful couple. God Bless.

I Love, Love, Love my vinyl albums!!! Still listen to them as much as possible. Love seeing others still enjoy them as much as I do. Love Merle too, but Conway Was my absolute favorite, my mom's fav was Charlie Pride, I grew up on the ole country, but listen to all genres now.💜💜💜

All great stuff. It's funny - I met the guy who I've been playing music with for 25 years in the Judds section of a record store. We started talking because I was wearing a Carcass shirt and he had a Mayhem shirt. Everyone digs the Judds!

Early ZZ Top is so underrated.
HOW on earth that 80s crap made it so big is a mystery, well, I guess to be fair it was heads & tails above "Ah Ha" or whatever was on MTV at the time.
There is nothing like the subtle, but intricate drumming style on Snappy Khaki (maybe w/ the exception of Stewart Copeland) or the tightness of Driving while blind or the simple beauty of Asleep in the desert.
Just some of the rawest, gnarly, driving stuff ever made.

I love the Little Feat pick. Lowell George is an unsung hero in southern rock. Waiting for Columbus is one of my favorite albums ever recorded. Crazy to think he got his start with Frank Zappa and the mothers of invention

After decades of Rod Stewart's mediocrity, is easy to forget he was unambiguously great on those first 3-4 solo albums and in Faces. Legit.
So so true.
You are spot on about those early records, his own & Faces were just so present, so sonically gorgeous & his interpretation on everything was just so unique & beautiful (even though he's said he mimicked Sam Cooke, he totally had his own style.)
But yeah, those standards records & the 80s/90s hits were just slick drivel second only to "I'm still standing" by Elton John:))
