    I own a welding business, bought 2 of this exact same model, these machine rock! I weld rod 5/32 and gasless wire, they are unkillable. 3 month eating dust, cement dust, spark and they are still running great. the machine is great but need upgrade, buy a better mig cable, and maybe a better smaw clamp. I’m used with the supper miller machine and of course the flaw is better but for any kind of welding they work very well. They even have many smaw option like anti stick and hot start.
    Welded at 180 amp dual machine and none broke (welded at least 60pound of rod.) and dint hit the duty cycle

    I saved and bought a Millermatic 211. In three years I ran 3 spools through it. Pampered it, kept it covered and cleaned it. The board took a crap and now it’s $600 ish for a new board. The Yeswelder looks good!

    I've had a Century Mig 250 for 28 years. It just died. Debating fixing vs new inverter type welder. Suspected part is $140. If wrong, that goes up. Then what might be next. Machine has always been in a clean dry environment.

    Although I don't typically weld 1/2", is the 250 capable? Do you show it in a video?
    Do you like the newest 200a as much or better than the 250?

    Question: what is your Argon to Co2 mixture when filming? 80/20 or 75/25. I seen the manual list two.
    Your weld beads are awesome btw.

    I almost purchased a Yeswelder but instead I opted for a Forney Multi Process MIG, Stick, Lift arc TIG for my purposes. They are extremely accessible by phone, you can talk to tech without any hassle, they have a great warranty and are assembled and tested in Colorado. I purchased mine in refurbished and it looked brand new when I received it. I am very pleased with its capability. I even went and added the Amprtol TIG torch so I can TIG weld inside my car restoration project without a foot pedal. To date, it is an excellent machine and every question or thought to be glitch a tech straightened me out by explaining and not reading from script. Call me happy because previous to this I owned an Eastwood which failed without 3 hours of usage and they did NOTHING! Forney shipped to PA for free. I am thinking of getting the Yeswelder Plasma cutter judging from the videos I have watched covering its use and they seem to hold up.

    Thanks for the review. I got a mig 250 pro about a month ago. I love it! Your review gave me great peace about how it should hold up. I burn about 15 pounds a year on steel. Just got my mig torch this week and have started to get it going for irrigation pipes. 😃😃

    Surprised me to see the settings stay the same when I turned the 250 Pro on the next day to weld more of the same metal. The book that came with mine was for the older 250 Pro although working with the controls I figured things out. I like to write info onto index cards for the most used selections to speed things up. I am not a weekly user.

    It’s funny I bought a Lincoln 210mp when they first came out like 6 or so years ago, it was 1400 with 400 rebate so a grand shipped. I sold that machine a year ago for 1800 bucks! They are nice but not worth 2500 or whatever they are now.

    I just bought one of these, I had an old snap on, mig for close to 40 years but it finally quit on me, I tried a different brand mig welder first which didn't turn out well. So far the yes welder is okay, but I have found the synergic mode has wire speed a bit faster than I like, and no adjustments for wire speed in syn mode. Pulse would be an excellent feature but I realize cost would go up. I didn't get the spool gun with mine either, it was an option.

    I think it a descent welder. Prefer the prime weld. Never had a glitch. Come with nice pedal and CK worldwide 17 flex torch and the MIG 180 is amazing and runs sticks like a boss. But glad you like that Yes welder. Couple buddies that been welding for over a couple decades. They both had same issues. Switch to Prime weld and never missed a single pass. And the aluminum spool gum on the PW Mig-180. Is smooth like butter. Thanks for the video Sir

    FYI. The reason the tip are melting is because the ground wire (earth lead) is not good enough. Not because you heavy use. I run the PW Mig-180 is ran damn near maxed all the time and never even close to getting crazy hot or melt especially because it’s copper and dissipate heat extremely well. Again poor quality in the wire used.

    • @looseballs1966
      @looseballs1966 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      NO,,,, the biggest thing that kills tips is touching them into the puddle so the arc trys to take a path thru the tip instead of the wire, bad ground is just one of the things but not the main one, burnback, damaged liner, wrong tip size, poorly made tip or crappy materials (often the case with the cheap china tips), even running to low wire feed speed, all those can ad up to going thru tips.

    I have the Yeswelder Mig 250 Pro and the Yeswelder Cut 55DS, which I've also bought other stuff from Yeswelder, I can tell you that I had a couple issues with them at first, but they fixed the issues right away. Like they were supposed to have given me 10% off of my total order, which I didn't get, because I told them then I couldn't get b the code to work, but eventually they refunded me 10% of the cost, which I used to buy more stuff from them. Unfortunately our fuse panel is full and I have no way to hook up the 250 Pro since it needs 240A that there's no room for, so all my welding equipment is still sitting in their boxes along with everything else, I just hope it works when I am eventually able to use it, because they surely won't take it back now, because I bought it last year.

    • @MrSprintcat
      @MrSprintcat ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure you only need a 50 amp breaker. Use your well to have fun. Take a couple of your Breakers and get some mini Breakers. Then that'll leave you the spot for a 50 amp breaker. Or you could put a sub panel which is cheap just make sure you separate your neutrals on your grounds on the sub panel.

    • @roypatterson9910
      @roypatterson9910 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrSprintcat yeah, my Father was going to put in a sub panel, but he said that we couldn't do it since the main panel was so full, but I thought about having BG&E run a second line, which is free.

    • @MrSprintcat
      @MrSprintcat ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I was you I would put some mini Breakers in. There's no way you're going to use 100 amps all at once. Just make some room in your panel. You don't need another line. Trust me I do this all the time. Put mini Breakers in then throw you 50 amp breaker and connect your welder to it. All done

    • @jeffcurrie123

    • @looseballs1966
      @looseballs1966 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jeffcurrie123 Actually it will or to say it more correctly it should,, let me explain,, Aluminum TIG welding is done on an AC output machine using pure Argon as the shielding gas,,,, but all these new modern batch of so called proffesional welders out there know nothing,,, or WAY less than they think they know put it that way,, a very good but forgoten method of aluminum welding (from the prehistoric days I come from LOL) was called Heliarc,,, a process using esentialy a DC stick welder as the power source and a secondary unit that controlled the other necessary functions (gas delivery and so on),, using pure helium as the shileding gas,,, hence the name heliarc,,, so in theory anyhow the yeswelder should still be able to tig weld aluminum,, the tig torch is the same as used with heliarc and the type of power output is pretty much the same,,, you just need to use pure helium,,, but that is the biggest reason that method is not the preferd meathod these days,, helium is crazy expensive compared to argon and argon willl only work with AC TIG welding on aluminum, so you are limited more due to cost, not many want to pay upwards of $500 just to try helium TIG welding aluminum, I have considered it just to test theory,,, but I have no need because this welder with spoolgun works so nice, and is much easier for the novice to learn than any form of TIG, and requires far less consumables and other crap than TIG, TIG is nice for really thin delicate things but not much else, it is way slower than spoolgun, takes WAY more skill than spoolgun, for very specialty things yes by all means TIG but for general hobbiest just building stuff in his garage not so much, also while tis machine will mig weld by just changing the liner gas and putting a spool of aluminum wire in it it doesn't work worth a crap is very limited and just ain't worth it, get the spool gun it is far nicer and opens up a world of options.

    • @looseballs1966
      @looseballs1966 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you can weld 1/4" with way smaller welders just depends on how you prep the joint and how many passes you run, single pass yes this one will,, again depends on the type of joint and prpe of the joint and how well you can weld,, but that goes for any brand welder with a 250 amp max output, "V"ing the weld joint and holding a slight gap in the joint while making multiple passes will always yeild more joint strength than single pass,, NO wire feed welder of less than 300amp output has the power to get 100% penetration on quarter inch material unless those joint preps are made really.
