Well my man, looks like we're success. Your video was very helpful and very informative to what I needed to do to get the job done. Got my pump change temperature is running good doesn't look to be any leaks. Thanks again
Good job bro .. I have the same car hoping to do this myself as well .. I was wondering I can take off the bottom hose when I get the water pump off right . And I don’t need to remove my top hose or do I just more room .
yes sir the bottom has to come off when replacing but can be just moved to the side the hose is just rubber so yeah you can take it off after the pump comes off. the top hose can technically stay put but for way more room i would just pull it. its just 2 clips for the hose and a small clip for the small return hose.
@@r_napoleon again thanks. I'm trying to be as careful as careful as I can. This is the first non-shitbox. Parts are on order and I hope to be changing this weekend.
Ok to do this fill the reservoir run the car with the heat on the fan won’t turn on until the system is sealed. Once the heat is kicking in the car put the cap on and let it sit until the fan turns on then take it for a ride and watch your temps. Your temps will go above 80 then stabilize
I’m sorry but there was no need to show the install it was the reverse of what I showed, as far as the gasket it’s a metal crush gasket so no need for extra sealant.
@r_napoleon the first water pump I put from Amazon only lasted 3 days and I put sealant since it came with a paper gasket. That was a mistake I was scraping the old gasket for 4 hours. Then order a water pump from fcp euro and got the metal gasket didn't want to add sealant to avoid scraping it if it goes bad thanks man... don't buy amazon water pumps they don't package it carefully my gasket was cut in one spot
Sorry about that but you just need to move it around until it comes out, it wasn’t stuck on anything the gasket was just stuck so still very simple job to do

What year is this C300? Did you remove the thermostat ?
This is w204 so 2008-2014 but no I didn’t remove or replace the thermostat
I have a squeezing sound coming from that area. Not sure if squeezing is from water pump or from pulley.
Deff the tensioner i changed mine a while back it just came right back lol. it was cheap just like the water pump less than $100 from the local spot
How much was the water pump? Did you torq the bolts, and if so what were the specs? I have the same car.
Im pretty sure i did, but a quick google search on those torque specs i think they were all light though
One other question, will any funnel work without an adapter to lock it on?
Yes you can use any funnel as long as you can get it in there without getting it everywhere. Then close up the system
