- Weaving with hand tied long eye heddles with a rising shed on a countermarch loom. Countermarch looms weave with a balanced shed, but the function of the jacks can be altered so that they weave on a rising shed instead. This video is to demonstrate weaving with a second set of shafts using long eyed heddles. The purpose of these types of heddles is to accommodate patterns that use warp threads that are carried in many heddles across several shafts. This increases the ability to weave more blocks which would otherwise use a draw loom or often only doable on a Jacquard loom.
