Vanessa, I really hope you are having fun shooting this series Videos, because to us (your passionate audience) it’s delightful to see them. Just wanted to let you know you’re much appreciated 👍🏻🙏🏼 Choosing Red filters would be a topic of interest I’d like to see and know more about Keep up the the good work Thks for sharing all your knowledge wit us in such a simple, basic, straight-forward manner You rule(!) Stay safe, have fun, and keep on Diving! 👌🏼🇵🇹
WOW Its almost 1am and I just binged watched all of your tutorials so far! (while taking notes of course!) I would love to see a tutorial on color correcting underwater footage! (there's such poor content on this topic on youtube) Also I'm super looking forward to your video on storytelling!
Wow! No only like it but I suscribe to the channel. First time in many years I learned that much in just one video. Flawless exposition of a complicated matter in terms easy to understand. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video as always. Good explanaition for beginners. What I'd really be interested in for further videos is the specs of underwater video lights. What are the importand specs and what would you recommend?
Another great video, thanks. I'd like to see a video on underwater tripod. I don't use one myself (ninja buoyancy obv lol) but think it would bring my footage into a whole new realm. Any recommendations?
@@ReefPatrol hi I shoot wide but am looking to also invest in macro lens in the near future. So would be great if there was a 'one fits all' type of tripod. Thanks.
Great video! Love the series so far. Would you guys cover underwater color correction for video? Some cameras like Canon can white balance underwater accurately but others like Sony just cannot. For those of us in the later group what’s the best way to get great color? Even if the only answer is in post, how?
White Balance & Color Correction are in the making ;) But general advice: Manual White Balance every few meters UP&DOWN (dive slate, more expensive wb card, sand works if there is not too much red in it, scuba tank works too, anything gray or white). WB on the dominant light source - if you are using video lights with natural light and natural light is the dominant light source, WB on natural light and then turn on the video lights. There is a great video on this topic from Florian Fischer here: th-cam.com/video/J6kQJ4RowXA/w-d-xo.html. Stay tuned for the next episodes, we will cover all the details. Also Redfilters help a lot.
@@ReefPatrol Thanks for the advice! Florian's video was great though Keldan lights are beyond my budget. I'm looking forward to your WB and Color Correction video!! May I request you discuss LUTs -- at least from a beginner's standpoint, particularly for ambient light. Cheers and keep up the amazing work!
Do you readjust the White Balance every time you change depth or you out it on Auto White Balance? What are the best practices? Thanks in advance and keep up the fantastic content! :)
Hi i am really interest and impressed to what u explain but i think that i missed some points so i have many cameras for UW but the main two cameras i have is canon g9x mark ii with fatasea case and gopro hero 6 black can u just tell me what is the best setting for these two cameras for UW if u do not mind thank u 🌹
Für Adobe Premiere Pro kannst Du hier schauen: th-cam.com/video/vowopsVYSes/w-d-xo.html Für DavinciResolve hier : th-cam.com/video/vQPKb8aYfB4/w-d-xo.html
I use GH5 and GH4 :) simply because I like Panasonic more. More Features and suits what I do best. Sony are great but the GH5 has eg internal sensor stabilisation, super easy timelapse Features and most important 4k at 60p

Top!😎🤙🏻
Ich bin „Kamera-Neuling“ und endlich hat das mal jemand verständlich erklärt! 👌🏻
Besten Dank! ☺️👍🏻
Macht weiter so!
Hehe danke sehr
I'm really wondering why Vanessa's videos have been watched a few thousands of times instead of millions?! Great shots and great content, thank you!
Best entry level underwater tutorials, this has been so helpful, thank you!
thank you so much :)
Any baseline scale/parameter for the light power as mentioned at 7:02? Tq

When you guys get to the lighting video, can you talk about using video light for underwater photography as well? Thanks.
Great videos btw..

will for sure be part of the Lighting Episode! So stay tuned :)
Many important considerations, but how do ISO settings affect battery consumption?
Great info! Really like your content. Quick correction, I know it has past a lot of time but in film is called ASA!

For macro or wide? :)

Thanks for another great video! Would love to learn about your workflow importing and organizing, and selecting footage for a project :)
that could be a whole series for itself, because everyone does if differently ;) we'll see what we can do!
Did you upgrade from the GH5?

I am your biggest fan. Thanks for sharing. Id like to know how to select appropriate music for underwater video editing
there are tons of online music databases where you can buy royalty free music :) too many to choose from ;)
Can you please talk about wet lenses and snoot?

stay tuned for the White Balance Episode... but for now - NEVER AUTO WB! ;)
WB episode is uploaded :)
I am a fan. Keep em coming.
Thank you for some excellent tips !
Welcome 😊

Super Video 👍🏻
Mein Wunschthema wäre Farbkorrektur mit Filter oder am PC und der richtige Weißabgleich.
100000 Dank!

Where are the previous episodes, can you send all the instructions for shooting underwater video to private messages?
