  • I had this problem with my 2007 Audi A3 after not driving it for several days.
I spent 6 hours trying to figure out the problem and fix it.
I hope you will find this video useful.

This was a great help! Had the same problem with an Audi A4 Cabrio 2005 (B7). Hadn't driven it for 2 weeks. Instruments, ventilation, airco and indicators weren't working. Checked the fuses, then began to suspect the relays. Luckily found this video on TH-cam, drove my Audi on the motorway and then the problem was solved. Thanks for uploading the video.

This will reoccur sooner rather than later, the issue is dry soldered joints on the pcb where the blue plug is, quite tricky to rectify but it's doable if your handy with a soldering iron. Companies will charge around £300 to do this.

Do you mean that the problem is in blue connector which goes in to cluster? Or inside in cluster? Cheers

That was a weird one , what I normaly do in situations like that is disconnect the battery for 5 min and touch the negative cable and positive cable of the car togheter or even leave the a consumer on like the lights to get rid of residual current . Battery's are known to cause a lot of trouble sometimes so make sure you charge it if you have not driven the car for some time.

Look at 'Cluster processor failure' if you're still experiencing issues. My clusters are completely dead and that's the problem for me

    But with few words
Where was the problem at last?
    How did you fix it?
    Thank you very much again

Hi! To be honest I am not sure what fixed it. I would say driving the car to charge the battery fixed it. I was driving on the motorway and at some point the dash blipped a couple of times and a few seconds after it came on and worked since.
As I said, I believe driving the car fixed it but maybe my previous attempts had an impact too

      Hi mate.
If you have exactly the same issue as I had, I believe charging the battery will fix it.
I suggest driving your car in high revs for about 30 minutes (or more if needed).
I have to say that when I had this issue I left the engine idling for about 30 minutes and did not resolve the problem.
Then I drove around town to Halfords to get the battery tested. This didn't work either.
What resolved the issue was driving on the motorway in high revs for just about 5-10 minutes. I hope this helps.

How fast was the dash back up working after the run out? Just come off holiday and have the same problem.. just done a 40-50 mile drive, so hoping it’ll work!

    • @catalinpopa8322
      @catalinpopa8322  ปีที่แล้ว

I definitely did not drive that far. I went first to Halfords, which was 3-4 miles, then motorway for 5-10 minutes and that sorted the problem.
But in my case, it was winter and the car was not driven for just 3 or 4 days. So it might be that my battery wasn't too bad.
I hope you manage to fix the issue.
