As the name tells the difference PLC is a simple control system dedicated to control one package or one unit. However, DCS may control all units and subunits. Moreover, all PLC systems are further connected to a DCS system. To be precise DCS is used for overall plant operation whereas PLC is used for small unit operation/control. PLC is a singular control system whereas DCS is a distributed control system covering all PLC systems as well. There are further details for DCS but to understand the basic distinction this is enough.
Configure your controller with an IP (if not addressed before) and use the procedure to download as described in the tutorial video here. Everything is in this video so watch out again
