It is time for our annual New Year's Day Party Paddle on Section 9 of the French Broad!
We had a wonderful day on the river. Nothing beats ringing in the new year like kayaking with your friends! We went from Barnard to Hot Springs. After the float, we crashed Iron Horse Station for the best hamburger in North Carolina!

So impressed with Steve's t-rescue at 14:30! I will do anything to nail my roll because I am lazy & don't want to dump my boat! I believe that is the first time I have seen a t-rescue actually work on the river. Good anticipation, Pete.

The Frank Bell that the rapid is named for started a summer camp called Camp Mondamin. I worked there one summer in college when he was about 80. Doing Enders at Frank Bell was a favorite way to spend a hot summer day for me back in the 90s.

I truly enjoyed watch Your group running FB9. On my 8k tv. Great T Rescue.
.i ran fb9 couple in inflatable kayak hope to again. Only down to shack house.. having corpal tunnel surgery and cubital tunnel surgery on left arm later this month

By the way can I put 2 tooenjoy systems on cross members.. bilateral knee surgery and neck fusion last year and corpal tunnel and cubital tunnel this January I doubt I can lift kayaks easily

Yes Jam, two will fit as long as you have long enough cross bars. I think 53" will work perfectly.

This one for sure! The upper is significantly more involved than the lower.

Staying warm! LOL. He hates cold weather. I cant blame him, he doesnt have an ounce of fat on him and there is no natural insulation. He is doing very well.
