Rexlent is like Kyostinv of pgr. Also i love how you present this boss guide very organized and easy to understand and the text animation as well is kinda cool. Keep it up Rexlent!!
Just came back to the game recently and totally forgot how this boss worked. You explain it so simply and clearly - you’re the man. The fight included at the end with the talking during the dodge phases was also really helpful. Thanks!
I've been playing PGR on the lowest graphics setting and I was wondering what the hell is hitting me when Musashi is doing his spinning attack and his ninja like attacks. 😂
Remember on the last stages your health depletes over time so even if you don't get hit your health will still be going down!!! Makes alot people co fused as they didn't get hit but there health is low! Lol
This is a really helpful guide, breaking down his attack moves and ways to counter Musashi. I don't even bother reading his info at the start and just jump straight into battle and just memorize by experience through countless failed attempts. Thx for the guide! saved my time a bunch
I have another way of identifying the dash slashes. Just using a very simple formula of 4:3:3 and using the dash's audio as a signal. When you hear Musashi dashing, there will always be that swoosh sound. How I identify which dash it is, is that there will either be a singular swoosh, or a double swoosh when he dashes. However, both follow the same formula. If it is a single swoosh dash, the first attack will always come after 3 swooshes (dodge at 4); the next two attacks will 90% come after 2 swooshes (very rarely will it not attack after 2 swooshes, but just dodge all the same) If it is a double swoosh dash, the first attack always comes after he dashes twice (you will definitely hear 4 swoosh sounds in total); the next attacks always will come after the next dash (you will definitely hear 2 swooshes). I think I used the word "swoosh" too much. But I hope it offers an alternative for those who desire audio cues instead of visual ones.
Goddamn this was SO HELPFUL! I did try asking around for advice, but it was difficult for them to explain it through just text. The demonstrations along with the explanations together are a godsend. Also extra style points for obliterating Musashi while he was still dashing LOL.
After i know how to tell the differences of the dash attacks with this video.... i still die LOL... gotta practice!!! Thanx for the guide man... u sure making our lives easy!
@@kawaibacon1212 for Jet Blade, its not easy at all tho. Theres no sound cue for that. You need to rely on visual. Maybe its easy to dodge bcus this is Paincage 1v1. But on hard stages, Musashi can appear together with some mobs
Long short summary : Dash 1 pattern : 2,1,1 Dash 2 pattern : 3,2,2 Remember that Dash pattern might be different for 2nd & 3rd one so paying attention to audio cues and stay focus will greatly help you predict his move You can try practice first so you can remember his moveset
This is like fighting Faust from Arknights all over again you just need to count how many times he does his moves to get into the deadly part of the, this boss is really complicated when you don't know his attacks but really easy when you know about the pattern
Well shit, I knew this already but thought there was something more to know the exact amount of dashes he will make before attacking. Even in video for Dash Attack 1, he did it only on 2nd turn after dashing away initially. Same for Dash Attack 2, sometimes attacks after 3rd dash.
dash attack 1 he sometimes dashes 2x and then throws his bullshit wave at you. dash attack 2 he sometimes dashes 4x before throwing his bullshit wave at you
Correction: for Dash attack 1 you don't dodge after every dash. It's 2 dashes-dodge-1dash-dodge-1dash-dodge. He also sometimes does one more dash before attacking the final time, as can be seen in this vid. For Dash attack 2 you need to dodge after 4 dashes, not 2, and then every 2 dashes. He also sometimes does additional dashes randomly, so it can be f.e. dodge after 5, 2, 3 dashes. His random additional dashes are the hard part of this boss fight, since they burn your dodges and throw you off. Last important information: you can keep attacking the boss during dash attack 1, while he is invulnerable during dash attack 2. The damage you can do during DA1 can make a big difference for your score in Pain Cage.
No, Dash Attack 1 doesn't always start after 2 despite the fact that they were shown in this video. It can also immediately come after 1. For Dash Attack 2 the beginning also varies between 2-3, as mentioned. 4 if you choose to count the cluster mirage at the start. The video already showed both occurences. EDIT: Actually there was already an example footage of immediate 1 dodge after 1 dash for the first part of Dash 1 at 6:12
I explicitly mentioned in my video to dodge once after every dash for Dash 1 because of the variance of 1-2 between each dash, including the start without needing to overcomplicate matters. You brought up a correction that it's fixed 2-1-1, which is not, hence a dodge is needed at every dash so I'm correcting you; the same for Dash 2 where you imply it's 4-2-2, which isn't as well. Both variances were already shown in the video. "Last important information: you can keep attacking the boss during dash attack 1, while he is invulnerable during dash attack 2. " This was also already stated in the notes in the video.
@@Rexlent I have never encountered an attack before 4(3 without counting the initial) dashes in DA2, but I guess it's just my experience and it can happen. Sorry, I just didn't see the situations you mentioned so your advice seemed incorrect. I don't have Musashi this week so can't even verify it.
Thank you this guide is helpful especially the teleportation part Edit:I don't want to know what u called hard when you make that damn musashi looks easy
On Dash 2, you can stand on the edge of the arena. He has a fixed position on the edge and only aims at the center. Just imagine hes cutting the room like a pizza and stand in a slice.
now I understand what Sephiroth felt when Cloud was dashing all over the place when he was doing his omnislash in Advent Children
So what was going through Sephiroth's mind during that moment was, "Crap, I am all out of dodge stamina and have no teammates to switch over to!"
damn that was true, the different is I am just panik 😅
Musashi truly becomes a pain in the ass when you're fighting him along with other enemies, with the main culprit being the freaking camera xD
not the camera
the target locking makes it harder.
It's both for me lol
It's quite hard to play it on mobile because you have to swipe the screen
it's so helpful, very easy to understand even for people like me that know little about english language. thank you mr. rexlent ❤️🙏🙏
Just curious. Where you learning english from? Also what's your native country and place?

Thanks Rexlent! Now i'm off to Pain Cage to fight musashi and probably start panicking hence forget about the things you just said

Dude the way you explain is so clear. Thanks for this.
Finally musashi guide, this what i needed
I like how the music drops when he's about to do his ultimate skill blade storm
2022 and here I am learning about Mushashi’s obnoxious Dash Attck 1 & 2.
Thanks for all your hard work Rexlent. You do amazing job with editing, explanation and on time stamps, as a consumer it's very appreciated.
Ah thanks a lot, very helpful.
I always suffered when he's doing Dash 1 and 2.
i allways panic and dodge in the wrong timing...
Thank you very much these guides. I was confused on the amount of dashes before attacks so this simplifies it a lot 👍

thanks in advance for showing the difference between the dash's and exactly how many dash's for each type!
