His actions of letting the mistress back into his life romantically led to her doing low scheming things to monopolise him in the name of 'love'. The wife may have done what she did in a moment of despair, but it was still ultimately her own choice whether or not she took those pills, even if it was in reaction to her husband cheating. @@moaraa2575 It is all a bit over the top plot wise …..but it appears that Rong Fengfeng was in a relationship with Lin Chao at university and he may have had another girlfriend….not quite sure about that relationship…..he tells her he is breaking up/ leaving…..she chooses not to tell him she is pregnant. Why? I don’t believe they were married but the single Rong Fengfeng faces enormous difficulties in society even though the Marriage Code does not explicitly discrimate against unmarried mothers….
