P.S, no "man" even Freddie, has been able to replicate Roger's voice from this song to this very day. His falsetto was like a banshee on a few other Queen songs from the 70's. That's why the 1970's gave work to Queen's best vocal work of their careers.
Ye freddie falsetto never had that same vibrato or angelic quality but he was much more powerful, thek complimenting each other made 70s queen so darn good
He have a good and special voice. In the song "Somebody to Love" i like his voice in the live concert, when he sings ..."Find me.. Somebody tooo love" at the end. He is just amazing. Freddy is bether, but Freddy don't have the voice like Roger.
This is the only live version of this song I've ever seen where Roger could still hit those incredible high notes/ Just amazing! R.I.P Roger's former voice!
Queen guitarist Brian May wrote this. The song is about an astronaut who travels to a distant place at near the speed of light. Because of the time dilation that takes place at these speeds, he and his crew return home 100 years later. He has aged only a year but sadly finds that his wife has long passed on and that he is about the same age as his grandchildren. Incredible song.
I think its odder than that - the land that his grandchildren knew - they are all dead too. If its 25 years per generation then he is the same age as his great-great-grandchildren. Give or take his travel year.
♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫ In the year of '14 I first listened to this song In the days "Interstellar" was premiered I was reading "Ender's Game" And the sequels that featured time dilation effect And if that wasn't enought i was staring to enjoy country music and queen songs I thougth the universe was trying or the universe let's say to make me love this incredible song ♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫ So this song became my all time favourite song and it will untill im dead Brian May got what it takes to make me feel like in space For my life Still ahead Pity Me. ♫♫♫♫♫♫
Lol At Rogers falsetto at 2.09 he was preparing desperately but didn't quite make it. Bless him for trying though, such a great team of singers together. I'd love to have seen this song performed live.
Hi my friend!! I totally agree with you!!! Freddie is the King of Queen, no doubt about it! No one will ever come close to his amazing voice, he is unique!!! Freddie´s voice was made in heaven!
Thank God for youtube and you folks who upload and share all these great songs with people like me who is analfabetic when it comes to computers. Great song and performance.
This one was written by Brian May. John Deacon wrote 'My Best Friend'. And Freddie was involved in the writing of 'Bohemain Rhapsody, and he played piano as well. This was a remarkably talented band. I saw them once live and the feeling of being there was just tremendous.
VIVA QUEEN!!!
Brian always wanted this song to be a hit, it really deserve it
80thisvelvetglove i love Led Zeppelin
It was/is to me. It made me the Queen fan I am today.
i love both versions, brian's and freddie's. each one gave a different feeling and taste to the song.
totally agree, I to like both versions.
@Precious Jude You got it, Freddie is THE SINGER 🔝✔👊
Ja, FREDDIE ROCKS IT THOUGH 🎵😉💪🏼♦️🔔
P.S, no "man" even Freddie, has been able to replicate Roger's voice from this song to this very day. His falsetto was like a banshee on a few other Queen songs from the 70's. That's why the 1970's gave work to Queen's best vocal work of their careers.
their voice got worse faster because they smoke.. :(
Roger lost his falsetto, but Freddie's falsetto improved. You can hear it best on Exercises in Free Love.
I do agree with you
Ye freddie falsetto never had that same vibrato or angelic quality but he was much more powerful, thek complimenting each other made 70s queen so darn good
If you pay attention in the voices, you can hear Brian in the chorus, and that's fucking beautiful
Man, Brian can sure write songs! And John's bass playing here is so amazing! Queen just rocks, plain and simple!
Roger's range is amazing. I love this song and Freddie doing vocal on it is great. Thanks for posting.
I love this song so much. Roger's back up vocals - amazing high notes!
Roger. wonderfull. beatiful voice
Man Roger rocks his parts of this beautiful song
He have a good and special voice. In the song "Somebody to Love" i like his voice in the live concert, when he sings ..."Find me.. Somebody tooo love" at the end. He is just amazing. Freddy is bether, but Freddy don't have the voice like Roger.
Freddie had a better voice, Roger had a higher range... Well more like he could hit higher notes than freddie, but was not as smooth.
Brian seems like such a humble and sweet man, he has a great voice too and plays a mean guitar!
This is the only live version of this song I've ever seen where Roger could still hit those incredible high notes/ Just amazing! R.I.P Roger's former voice!
I love this song, Roger was so cute ^^
Rebeca Feliciano yes he is😍
Queen convinces me that true music will never die
1:23 Ok Roger we get it.

Hareka Tysiri me too dear..rog is so gorg here..the way he pout His lips and the way he plays the tambourine ..he just made my day
Every member of Queen is brilliant...John Deacon,s basswork on this track is sheer artistry
Brian May was working on his Doctorate in Astrophysics when he wrote this song.
Although Freddie is a great singer, this is definitely a Brian May song
+Smitty werbenjagermanjensen Bluh i think this is definitely a Brian May song
Why exactly did Freddie sing this? I agree it was a song sung by Brain May.
I think Freddie singing this adds a real interesting spin on it.
Plus his range and power is stupendously superior.
Freddie's a better singer, but Brian has such a raw voice that sounds perfect for folk. Freddie's voice is too polished and nice for this song
Sing better by Freddie . Roger shut up lol please
Love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻
John Deacon is the ultimate bass guitarist...
♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫
In the year of '14
I first listened to this song
In the days "Interstellar" was premiered
I was reading "Ender's Game"
And the sequels that featured
time dilation effect
And if that wasn't enought
i was staring to enjoy
country music and queen songs
I thougth the universe was trying
or the universe let's say
to make me love
this incredible song
♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫
So this song became
my all time favourite song
and it will untill im dead
Brian May got what it takes
to make me feel like in space
For my life
Still ahead
Pity Me.
♫♫♫♫♫♫
Ender's Game is awesome
That's really good!!
Lol At Rogers falsetto at 2.09 he was preparing desperately but didn't quite make it. Bless him for trying though, such a great team of singers together. I'd love to have seen this song performed live.
I respectfully disagree . Roger nailed it .
Peace
How many people can write a good song about a complex idea in physics, like relativistic time dilation? Maybe only Brian May.
I'm so used to hear this song being sung by Brian but Freddie really took it to a completely new level of magical.
I love how they performed this! Saw them live in Chicago in '77..... didn't see Freddie in his famous harlequin black & white suit though. My favorite
Freddie realy was so talented, he has the most beautiful voice in the world, this song sound like country and he sang like an angel.
The best song of Queen. Lyrics, music, the BAND, everything is absolutely great. ♥
One of my favorite Queen songs. So full of feeling and depth … beautiful!
I prefer Brian's vocals by a landslide, but I can see why they wanted to use Fred while live.
Indy The Great i
Every time I listen to this song the lyrics get me. They're just as beautiful as the music. Simply fantastic.
Queen will always be the best rockband the world has ever seen. No doubt about it!
I love how everyone is talking about everything except when Roger gets really into hitting that tambourine. I was dying from that.
When ?
That was beautiful
the best song of many very good songs from this unique band
no one can ever compete Freddie Mercury, he's really awesome, Brian May too, he's my number one best guitarist of all time.....
One of the best songs by Queen!
Jesus how does Roger not pass out during that high A falsetto?
because roger cant do high notes anymore
cause he just doesnt
+Sandra “Michaelis” Ackerman Because of sheer and utter awesomeness.
If you call studies in dentistry a proper music education ;)
Izumi Hanjinozuka Just a gifted range.
all due respect to Freddie... Brian did it better. I will say Freddie did put his heart and soul into it like he did with everything else
Man do I love Roger! He'z just so cute with his antics like his crazy high voice and adorable little dancing! Thumbs up if you love Roger!!!!!
Great base playing fron John Deacon...Best group of all time

Man, this is the very very best I heard in my life!!!! Long live to Queen!!!
rogers dancing this seems unreal he had so much fun on the stage
Beautiful song. It highlights the versatility of Brian May's songwriting.
I love this Queen song! One of my favorites for years, before I was a Queen fan!!
Roger's tambourine dance. I could watch that all day.
Roger could make me go that high! Lol
and bang me as hard as that tambourine

@@enchong091 I agree
Excellent song! And live, it's brilliant!
One thing that makes this band ridiculously great, is that all the instrumentalists are amazing singers too!
I really love this video.. Their voices harmonise very very well.
the bass line is great
Wow those high notes of Freddie and Roger mixing together! And the sight of the 4 of them at the front of the stage!
I love this country song of BRIAN MAY.
QUEEN FOREVER
+Luigi Tondelli I would say it's more of a folk song than country, but nonetheless agree with you
Folk*
God Damn Roger Taylor and that High note
there is something of country in this song...... i love it
Amazing song...always was and always will be.
Man, they just really come together in this piece. Great live performance.
RIP Freddie the world will always miss your presence.
Oh I still miss Queen! And our Freddy! Legends all...xoxo
The incredible "Governor"-Mr. Brian May! and Queen. We love you ..Now Sir Brian May! 2023..
I've listened to this song before bead every night for the past year
I'm doing that right now lol
I did that once. Just to realize that the time i was hearing was 00:39
Lovely, lovely song!! One of my favourites from this once-in-a-lifetime band... Thanks for posting!!!
Best song from Queen in my opinion - love this song so much.
Now that is some beautiful harmony!
Amo demais essa música, amo demais o Queen
No matter what, I think that this song is only magical when Brian May sings it.
A truly amazing, touching song; it reminds me of the story of the Odyssey.
One of my favorite acoustic songs of all time! Thank you for posting this!1
Thank God for youtube and you folks who upload and share all these great songs with people like me who is analfabetic when it comes to computers. Great song and performance.
Freddie you are the best ! your voice is just Fantastic !
wonderful song that never got the recognition it deserved.
Love how Roger makes a quack noise before the song starts. :)
He does it at Earl's Court and this performance too.
Can you, fellow internet user stop for a few seconds to appriciate how fuckin awesome the bassguitar is in this song?

Absolut Hammer Lied, Wonderful tune, back in the day when pop Musik was actually worthy Musik. Lobet den Herrn 🎵🔔🍃♦️

Grande queen. Siempre y por siempre en nuestros corazones, mañana los veo en el concierto aca en Chile
Omg! It`s brillant! Brian is genius)))
Lets get some John Deacon love! The bassman is so underrated, especially on this song.
78 people clearly are bitter they lost their hearing and can’t listen to this amazing tune! Feel bad for them! ☝️

39 is such a great song. Its one you can listen to all the time.

Very good coment! I was born in 59 (a cold war kid in Mc Carthy time) but I loved Queen fom the moment I recognized them! Merry Christmas!
Caught em live?
@@gretelkulupka8704 I wish I had. Unfortunately not, but rarely had a chance.
