- In 2023, I embarked on a journey through Kruger National Park, staying in various camps scattered throughout the park. In this episode, I'm excited to share some of the most memorable moments from my adventures.
This video offers a glimpse into our family trip during the festive season, starting from the south and heading north. Alongside these highlights, I've included some remarkable sightings from previous videos.
We began our journey at Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp, where we spent two nights during the festive season, encountering incredible wildlife sightings that I'll share in detail in this video, with more episodes to follow.
During April 2023, I spent three nights at Berg En Dal, enjoying breathtaking sightings along the Mlambane River and the S25. I've selected the best moments to share with you here.
Satara Rest Camp features prominently in this video, as it was where I spent the majority of my time in the park, including Christmas with my family. Lions were plentiful, and I was fortunate to see them every day, along with rare sightings like the White Lion named Casper, Side-Striped Jackal, and Grey-Headed Kingfisher.
The day visit to Letaba Rest Camp from Phalaborwa Gate was particularly inspiring, marking the best 12 hours I've ever had in the park. I even wrote a poem about this area, which I'll share with you in this video. Sable Dam also provided some magical moments that I'm incredibly grateful for. Lions mating and 3 Leopards in a single sighting was the best ever sighting.
I spent three nights at Shingwedzi, crossing over to the new year on the High-Level Water Bridge. This area offered excellent birding opportunities and a notable population of leopards.
Finally, we spent two nights camping at Punda Maria Rest Camp, where a rainy day drive to Crooks Corner revealed the park's beauty amidst the waterlogged landscape.
