- Four fun packages all for the piggies - see what they think and how they react as I open them up inside the cage! The piggies have been acting rather bored lately, and there’s nothing that they like better than eating - so after a spot of shopping they got to test out a range of new hays and forages… as well as some suspicious looking sticks (they didn’t go down so well except for the apple twigs!).

I tried apple sticks with my pigs and they didn’t seem interested. It’s like they didn’t know what to do with them. They always loved willow houses and tunnels and would just gnaw on them until they became dangerous/structurally unsound.

Great video and have to say I've been using the pricey Oxbow for around three months. Mine didn't eat enough hay IMO. Moved through The Hay Experts, Box Hay etc. then tried Oxbow - bingo! I mix up the Oxbow Orchard Grass Hay and their Hay Blends and sprinkle in Friendly Readigrass, Timothy and Oat hay, along with a couple of forage mixes - they love it and fall asleep whilst munching. Friendly also do a Timothy Readigrass.
My Guinea pig Phoebe also loves chewing but only sticks and her wooden bridge house but she doesn't touch hay play walls or the natural chew danglies also love Callie running with the stick 4:30

Everytime you post a new Video I'm so happy🥰. I just love watching your piggies although I have my own babies😅. I just bought my boys a really large "Winter house" which I will give them soonvas pre x-mas present. And: wow, Callie has really grown😍. Same with my little Morty, he was so small a few weeks ago and now he also has grown so much😭
What do you or people use as a pet carrier? I used to use the plastic small animal carriers but found them too small with an adult piggie and they're hard to store. Was looking at maybe like a fabric cat or dog carrier that folds away? Also any suggestions on UK based amazon ready made forage would be great! Any reccomendations greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

By the way - once your guinea pigs get a taste of Oxbow products they will only want / expect to eat Oxbow products going forward 😂 (my lot did anyway) they love the hay and the nuggets 😅 also in the UK so it's expensive to buy but they're worth it 🥰!

How do you keep them from knocking off their water bottle? The wire hanger isn’t effective. Btw the chew sticks are a waste of money and a scam. They don’t like them
Hey, Sarah, I have a question, how can i help a scared piggy during bonfire night? In divali they were scared by some small firecrackers and small fireworks and I can only dread how scared they will be when the big show fireworks are going off, please help me I don’t want little buttons and mocha getting scared and agitated 🥺
Get lots of hay and fill it up so they can borough in it and put lots of food when they eat you will know there not nervous

Lovely to see you all enjoying your Amazon gifts! I buy that Readigrass and there’s also a nice oat one too in a blue bag. I just sprinkle a small handful onto their haybox or mix with some forage leaves and they all love it! We also like the Burgess Herby Hearts and mine like the Blueberry ones too which our local Mole Avon shop sells. I think you tried the dandelion root nibbles for your piggies but all six of mine really go mad for those as well as dried cucumber slices (sounds odd I know!) which Piggie Parcels sell.
Will have to try the Oxbow Orchard hay as I’ve seen that before and that it looked nice. Small Pets Select do a lovely hay sample box of 4 different kinds of hay which is great for trying some new ones and lasts ages as it’s a really big box!

Really enjoyed watching this video! It was so good to see Pedro eating, and also see how much Callie has grown. Looked like Callie gave her apple twig to Pedro..so cute! Your piggies are so very lucky to have you as their owner/caregiver. With the holidays coming soon, this was good to watch for ideas for the grandpiggies. 😉

I love this video, I'm getting 2 male guinea pigs for my birthday in a bout 7 months and the cage is 42" wide and 70" long is this good enough? I wanted females but my friend is getting those
That would be 20sq ft which is great for 2 piggies! I’m sure you know this but make sure to do lots and lots of research on pigs and on each gender because there are a few differences and things to know before getting either :)

My piggies LOVE OAT HAY, and Oxbow has a very good oat hay, I've tried other ones, even from Small Pet Select, and Oxbow is by far better. Sarah, can you tell me if they have Redi grass that I can buy in the U.S.? I really want to try it. I love that potty pad under Cali's house, it looks comfortable! They're so PRECIOUS, I love the new addition, what a little doll, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CRESTED PIGGIES, I have a beautiful black shiny crested piggy I named Velvet, I'm going to send her picture along in her new hammock, lol!
I buy Oxbow once and a while. We have a company that I usually purchase from over here. I buy 10 lbs (4.5kg)1st cut timothy hay, 25 lbs(11.3)kg 2nd cut timothy hay, and 5 lbs(2.3kg) oat hay in a go for my herd. They know the hay has been delivered before I do. As for bamboo, is it ok for piggies prone to bloat? Should try some dried first?
My two boys love redigrass, they would eat and eat that if I let them which I don't. They get a hand full mixed in with hay, and yep they eat the redigrass first. They're not the biggest fans of the sticks, but do eat them eventually. I subscribed to piggy box, to see what toys and treats I could give them as I'm not really sure. They don't like harder treats, but love grasses and forages.
2nd package - my guineas didn’t like those, the apple sticks were their favourite.

I'd guess it's not important for them to get overpriced hay. Good regional farm hay is cheaper and also very appreciated by the piggies. They especially love long pieces of hay:)
Hey Sarah! I have a question. I got two piggies about a year and a half ago. I’m not sure of the ages when I got them but one was a mom and one was a daughter. ( that’s why I names them momma and Mia 😊) anyways momma died a few days ago and I was wondering how do I make my other Guinea pig thrive and live an amazing life without her mom?? Thanks!
AWW baby's! (just wondering what do I do what one of the piggies was pregnant when we got her ( pregnant at the adoption center) it's 2-3 weeks later we put her back in the cage before her and the one of them broken into a small fight (took her out right after back with the babies rn) is that normal if she hasn't been with them for a bit? I'm worried if I'm gonna have to separate them and their bonded with coconut (the one that had the babies) is broken?

Additionally I have bamboo growing in my garden and having established it was safe for piggies I pick a handful of leaves every day, split the leaves down the middle (so not too wide, as the side of the leaf is rough) and hand feed them each day. It is by far their favourite treat and they scramble over me to get to them.
