My cousin's son works for amazon and the last time one of the weird pricing things happened, I asked him about it. He said that most of the time when you see this happen, there is some sort of glitch where the software tells the printer the wrong amount to print. For instance, 10 books might become 10,000 books - and by the time they realize it, the books are printed, so they sell them at a huge discount. They might have been sitting on this particular book since last year given the publication date. I just wish it would happen to one of mine.

I was guessing something like that because in this Easter book case, even though it wasn't selling so many in the beginning it had already got amazon's discounted price. But I still don't get the newer lower price because amazon has to pay the same royalty to the publisher with shipping to the customers.

But yes I had missed the price so yes when this happens and people see a bargain then why not buy it. It amazes me what people will buy just because it is cheap. Regardless anyone who tries to copy this won't get the benefits unless amazon does the same thing for them.

It's never sold (no surprise, it was just a learning experience) BUT I have discovered two mistakes I made with it. First, it has characters but I didn't name them and give them personalities. (I could expand upon a collection featuring other holidays building relationships with said characters. ) I didn't create nearly enough pages/activities. Thanks for the inspiration to fix and re-release 😉🙏

Easter Activity Book: Interesting - since Amazon dropped the price, how does a low price affect the author's commission?
Like I said in the video, it doesn't affect it. Amazon still pays out the royalty on the normal price.
