It was brought in for defenders too, because you could do a stupid mistake, nothing menacing or overly physical or genuinely try to play the ball, and give a penalty AND get a red card in the process. Im not for a lot of rule changes, but that one was pure bullshit and Im glade it changed.
That rule is the reason you can tackle from behind as a last player and not be automatically sent off if the referee deems you genuinely went for the ball, and not the player.

As a neutral, this was a fun match to watch. It could have ended with either club winning. Fine margins here and not the best performance by the ref but I think Arsenal deserved the win in the end. The bigger questions are how does Man United refresh its 34 player squad, how will De Gea and CR7 fit into a Ten Hag XI, and how strong is Man United's academy? Is it as good a pipeline as the Liverpool Academy or Arsenal's Hale End?

The Cedric handball has different rules as he's falling and the rules are different if he's falling, even if it hits his arm. There was some good analysis of this on BT, explaining that rule.
The Tavares / Elanga one wasn't a penalty, but it's close. He's got his arms all over him but he keeps going and he has the chance to score. Elanga is looking for it and wasn't really fouled.
The Saka penalty was a penalty. Telles had the wrong side of him, he's barged him and it is a foul. Saka didn't play the pass, he was trying to control the ball, not look for the pass.
Ref was an absolute shambles, and that Arsenal Agenda did an Uno Reverse and ultimately saved us this game, because we got some gifts, despite the fact we got some awful decisions too. Referees just are not good enough. Happy for the win though!
