Then he decided to return to his native Nova Scotia where he hosts the local afternoon show in Halifax. I love Jeff Douglas and miss his quirky voice.

As Canadians travel around the world we are hit with every one of these stereotyping comments from "Do you live in an igloo?" to "What is a toque?" As Canadians we do see the humor in it. Concerning the comments about how we as Canadians treat our Indigenous People; many First Nations people and white people live together in harmony. In fact I come from a mixed family and I am proud of that fact. Our governing policies may not be perfect but we do not live in a dictatorship and First Nation's people have a voice.
