I am trying to build this but had a question about the 2x2 size. What kind of wood are you using? Is it a true 2x2 or construction lumber which would be 1.5 x 1.5. Based on the video the pieces look square. Thanks!

Nominal 2x2s-so they’re actually 1 1/2” square 😊

When i saw this i thought of another idea: use thicker wood and wrap with rope to make it a cat tree too. That would probably work I think. 🤔
