La belle surprise de cet été est signée chez Sony et s'appelle Walk The Moon, un Quatuor originaire de l'Ohio.
Pour s'en convaincre il suffit effectivement d'écouter le single Anna Sun, un titre dance rock imparable, extrait de leur premier qui vous fera danser vite, même très vite. Pas étonnant donc dans ce cas que le groupe ait suscité un engouement immédiat. Suite à sa prestation au festival South by Southwest, Walk the Moon compte déjà parmi les coups de cœur de Nylon Magazine, a été élu "nouveau groupe du moment" dans SPIN, celui "qu'il faut impérativement connaître" dans le New York Post et a même été programmé dans la célèbre émission musicale américaine Last Call with Carson Daly. Walk the Moon s'annonce donc comme la prochaine sensation à l'ascension fulgurante.
Ils seront en concert à la Maroquinerie le 10 octobre prochain avec les excellents "Fun".
Voici leur titre "Anna Sun", interprété en acoustique sur les bords du Canal Saint Martin, avant leur concert au Point Ephémère. Un bravo et merci particulier à Mathieu Burgess, qui a mixé cette session.

Walk The Moon's innocent, genuine, high energy is unmatched in music today.
His happiness is infectious! You can tell he has a huge love for music and creating music. Its so inspiring!

As each new videos comes out you see where he makes some major changes his appearance. He hair is much longer, bleached out and cut almost to the skin on the sides of his head. He has quite a number of tattoos and dresses like a heavy metal band. His videos are still very, very good, but he's lost that clean-cut innocent look. I wished he hadn't done it, but to each his own. I still enjoy their music! 😎

Gosh they look so invested! Like, you can tell they're just a group of friends enjoying what they do, living in the sounds, and spreading their happiness aaaah ❤️
i watch this almost daily. you know a band is good when they genuinely look like they really, really enjoy what they do, and it's obvious they love music.

So this was my favourite video when I first found WTM, I've come back years later and it's still the best acoustic video of them. Still my favourite overall, really. Everything just seems like pure happiness.
I honestly don't know what it is about this performance, but i find myself coming back to it again and again. I think it's the building confidence/enthusiasm in the leas singer, spurred by his apparent realization that his friends and band members are simply in the moment and on the level around 0:37 (that drummer is going through something lol). Just a handful of American guys, maybe a little drunk, having a sing and play along the Seine. It's just a really solid acoustic set, hands down.
This is one of the best acoustic versions of any song I’ve heard- especially singing the synth parts. It works so well here.

I adored WTM and when I stumbled onto this one it cemented it into pure true love. They are so Infectious, genuine, love the music they create and working together. When I'm depressed I play WTM, when it's really bad I play this video. And I can't help but wonder what was behind the camera to make Nick smile so much. Probably a growing crowd!

By far one of the best acoustics songs i have heard. The best part about it they use no mikes so you can hear them clearly. I cant wait to see what this band can bring to the music world.

Two Saturdays ago, I think :) Tix were only $15.00 but it's one of the best concerts I've been to. So full of energy, with both the band a quite a lot of fans face-painted and the whole club was completely rocking out. I was right in front of the stage and I could touch Eli's beer.haha. and Nick and Kevin let some of the girls hug them after the concert. I hope they'll make it really big soon.
