I always use room temperature filtered water because after experimenting that's what works for me. it sounds like your polish may be starting to dry so you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower
For those people saying it wont work try adjusting the water temperature. At least let the water sit for 30 mins. Also it might not be working because the nail polish is too thick. You can use a thinner or you can add a little bit of nail polish remover and shake it up. Another reason it might not be working is because your holding the nail polish up too high. Put it almost to touching the water. Hope this helped. :)
the residue from the guides comes off easily, I just grabbed it with the tweezer - I did this Thursday & I've still got this on today & no chips so I'd say it wears the same as a normal manicure
I learned that a base coat of clear over a smile line guide will keep your edges smooth. the clear will run under but nothing else! very cool nail design!
Love this design I am new to water marble but I love it . I have tried it and I'm learning what colors dry faster than others. your videos help me out a lot.
I love these! I've never tried marbled french but I think i will after seeing this. I use electrical insulation tape for masking off nails...its stretchy so can get a deeper smile line
I just did a green & white marble for st. patrick's day so I don't know that I'll revisit the colors soon but you could definitely do designs other than the clover I showed with those colors
I like these colors over white the best. That is really cool how you can do this to your nails also. Then you could decorate the bare part with matching gems.
I love the pop the white background gives to the colours more than the black background! The design turned out very nice! I do watermarbles time to time, but I keep my nails really short because of sports, so I think a french watermarble would be too much work for only a little bit of colour on the tips.
All my wifes' Zumba friends are loving the water marble/gradient I did on her nails! Rainbow gradient base with a black/sheer marble. I thought I had come up with something new but found a similar design on a different channel...oh well. I'll keep at it! Thank you for the inspiration to give it a try! Who says a man can't do nails?! LOL
I love this design. I where my nails in french tip style all the time. For some reason it looks better than a full polish on my hands. Anyways you did a wonderful job. I think it looks great over white. Honestly either way it will look great. You do wonderful work. Thanks for sharing.
Outstanding as always! I hate the guides for french tip and usually freehand also but ive found that the little round band-aids work very well. They usually tape better and I dont get bleeding under the seam. They also work well for half moon manis. Get the cheap ones because they work just as well as the expensive.
We are in a deep freeze with about a foot of snow. So I especially enjoyed seeing this tutorial. I tried to do my 1st marbling today. Unfortunately, my colors just did not spread -- I think the water, room, etc., were just too cold. But you have inspired me, so I will def. try it again after it warms up a bit. Thanks so much for sharing all your techniques with us. Oh, I'm not sure I can name a favorite, but I really loved the colors you chose for this one.
Thanx so much! I have been following ur videos and tried water marbling but had not imagined I could actually have a french manicure using water marble! I use maybelline and so far had no problems with them but some colours do not mix well together
Until I saw this video I thought your nails were acrylic! I didn't realize they were natural! I personally wouldn't be comfortable with nails that long - because I am very clumsy with my hands some times, and when I had acrylic nails it took me quite a long time to get used to the length. However, I'd love to hear some of your tips & advice on how you keep them long and healthy, so that I may be able to get my nails a little longer too! I love your tutorials by the way! Just stunning! Thanks!
I love your long nails! Sadly mine are short but I really do love when you do your moms. So thank you for doing long AND short nails! love you and your channel!
beautiful! I like the tips but don't like to use tape. I usually put vaseline on my skin around my nails instead. When I water marble I am only getting 5-6 drops in max. The nail polish stops spreading. Thanks so much for sharing. I get compliments on my nails all the time thanks to your ideas!
I love it! And it is the perfect smoothness. Usually if I would do that, it would be lumpy, but u did great! I luv ur vids sooo much! I've seen all of them!
You always do such a good job as nd your nails always come out so pretty. I actually like the white background color. It made those colors really pop... I love the french tip also... Just loving it...
Love love love this, Im inspired by colours in nature and this looks a lot like the shell of what we in NZ call Paua and you call abalone. My favourite colours!!!!
I've never used that brand before. Marbling does use more polish than a normal manicure but how much more depends on the design & how many nails you dip at a time.
I like the white base. Also, it would be very cool of you did this water marble manicure with french tip colours... so like different shades of whites... it would have a cool affect and will catch someones attention
I really like this design! Love the colors :). I think the colors turned out great over the white and you still got the beautiful holo shimmer, but that teal color is so pretty and you wouldn't have seen that on black as well. Great job!!! :)
I'm planning on it, but thankfully I usually manage not to smudge my designs, sometimes I'll wait until the polish is dry to remove the tape to be on the safe side
That's a really neat marble to put on the tips like that! I wish all of my nails were the same length so I could do it, haha. I think I like those colors over black better, but they look good either way!
I show all my tricks to make a manicure last a long time in my basic manicure vid, but since I usually change every few days it's not normally an issue for me
I use room temperature filtered water - I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorials on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails
if the design smears when you pull out, you may be using a little too much polish - try using a few less drops. The layer in the water should be very thin & go onto your nail just like it looks in the cup
You have such nice, long nails! I bite mine, but before I did not. I have a photo album that has a picture of me with super long nails and I'm envious!!
I always use room temperature filtered water because after experimenting that's what works for me. it sounds like your polish may be starting to dry so you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower
Love this French Tip water marble design! And I definitely prefer the design over white base because the water marble really pops! Thanks Colette!!❤

FINALLY someone who does more than one nail at a time!
Definitely better over white. These colors are freakin gorgeous!! Looks like a tidal wave of holos!! Absolutely in love
Love the black underlay and the white. Both give a different look to the same colors. Good job! I can't wait till my nails grow out again.
the residue from the guides comes off easily, I just grabbed it with the tweezer - I did this Thursday & I've still got this on today & no chips so I'd say it wears the same as a normal manicure

You have TONS of beautiful & creative tutorials that I really enjoy. This one right here is my all time favorite, however. It is BEAUTIFUL!
I like these colors over white the best. That is really cool how you can do this to your nails also. Then you could decorate the bare part with matching gems.

I love this design. I where my nails in french tip style all the time. For some reason it looks better than a full polish on my hands. Anyways you did a wonderful job. I think it looks great over white. Honestly either way it will look great. You do wonderful work. Thanks for sharing.

i've never seen anyone to nail art like that, it's very pretty
Well, I think your nails are amazing. They look really clean, healthy, and well-kept. I wish my un-painted nails looked half as nice as yours!
We are in a deep freeze with about a foot of snow. So I especially enjoyed seeing this tutorial. I tried to do my 1st marbling today. I really do like the French tip water marble rather then full nail, love it! Good job!
that sounds like a great idea & easy to find for people who can't find the guides
I like the holos better over black, they pop so much more. beautiful!
I LOVE the polishes used! They are gorgeous! I also love the French tips done in wm! Gorgeous nails!
this is really pretty. i love the holo polishes!! and french tips is a good idea never thought to do that with water marbling.
I LOVE the water marble colors and you should post a vid of these on the full nail!!
Thanx so much! I have been following ur videos and tried water marbling but had not imagined I could actually have a french manicure using water marble!

I love it over the white! i love the design with these colors!
I love your long nails! Sadly mine are short but I really do love when you do your moms. So thank you for doing long AND short nails! love you and your channel!
They are absolutley AWESOME!!! I really like just the tips done!!! And the colors look beautiful!!!
bubbles are usually from either applying too thick of a coat, not waiting long enough between coats, or shaking the polish right before applying it
Im in love with these colours! I really wanna give this a bash!
Oh its awesome that you showed when you take the tape off, i like seeing all the process. Its a pretty design!!! Xoxo
yes - the residue from the guides can actually be pulled off, like with tweezers. I only had trouble with it on a few nails.
beautiful! I like the tips but don't like to use tape. I usually put vaseline on my skin around my nails instead. When I water marble I am only getting 5-6 drops in max. The nail polish stops spreading. Thanks so much for sharing. I get compliments on my nails all the time thanks to your ideas!
I like it best over white; the colors pop more. Spectacular colors btw :)
I love it! And it is the perfect smoothness. Usually if I would do that, it would be lumpy, but u did great! I luv ur vids sooo much! I've seen all of them!
Oh I love this design & it looks amazing over white.
Just jaw dropping. I know what I want to do once my 4th of July nails are over! Love it :)
Like it over white much better. I didn't like the colors when you showed them over black but now I want these colors!!!
Omg I love this! You need to do these more often I can't wait for my nails to get long enough so I can try this!

Those are gorgeous nail polish colors!
they both are amazing, one is brighter than the other, but if i had to choose, id go with a white base, ty for sharing, so pretty :)
I loooove this look! I absolutely Live the halo hues collection!
Very good, love the colour and have been looking at wanting to do French tips for a while
Very high quality tutorial. I like how detailed you are and the camera close-up is wonderful. :)
Insanely gorgeous and impressive, as always!!!
I really like this design! Love the colors :). I think the colors turned out great over the white and you still got the beautiful holo shimmer, but that teal color is so pretty and you wouldn't have seen that on black as well. Great job!!! :)

My nails are way too short to do a French but it's sooo pretty on you! I really love the design and colors on this one.
i like them over white because the colors pop and you can see the sparkle better :)
it's the lighting - they actually often dry when marbling because oils can interfere in the water
This is so pretty and such a nice design that I can wear to work I love the color palette and I like how it works home lite
Thank u so much. Watching your videos got me to try this nail art. And got me inspired, I did a nail technician course.

I show all my tricks to make a manicure last a long time in my basic manicure vid, but since I usually change every few days it's not normally an issue for me
I use room temperature filtered water - I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorials on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails
Your marble work is just amazing!
They look great!! Love your work.
I'd love to see this design in pink, silver, black. It's really pretty thanks for doing it.
These colors are best!!! So pretty
I love those colors on white; now I'll have to see it with the black background. :)
if the design smears when you pull out, you may be using a little too much polish - try using a few less drops. The layer in the water should be very thin & go onto your nail just like it looks in the cup
