You did such an incredible job of showing his journey, particularly that characteristic inner turmoil. -the 'if you love me, don't let go' at --2:55-- broke my heart, by the way- 3:45 to the end was absolute genius, just so you know. Honestly, I cannot compliment this enough. It's such a gorgeous character study of one of the most complex, utterly tragic and captivating characters I've ever seen on screen. Just incredible.

@ Well, you are right about what happens in real life to criminals, but the point of punishing people is not so that they get what they deserve, but rather to make sure that they don't do it again. In Kylo Rens case there is no question that he has done unthinkable crimes against humanity. Kylo Ren was manipulated from a young age when he was Ben Solo to go down the path of the dark side and he was betrayed by his own master who is meant to be the poster boy to the light side of the force. So already the fact that he went to the dark side was almost completely out of his hands, he was a product of his enviroment. If the strongest sith that has ever lived is inside your brain at all times, there's not really much a person can do. He also was taking orders for a long period of time from Snoke. As a Jedi Ben could do so much good in the world that he could redeem himself for the things he did when he wasn't fully in control of himself. In real life if you have killed a lot of people we can't just assume you will all of a sudden be a good person and do more good in the world than you have done harm, but SW is different because once you go with the path of light or dark, what follows is almost inevitable, especially when you're being controlled by a stronger being. Ben would have something called the "insanity plea" or the "insanity defense", so even if SW worked like real life, they couldn't in good concience punish him for any crimes. In real life there is no light and dark side of the force so you can't compare it to SW, because the dynamics of good and evil are completely different.
The "Hey kid" got me. That scene... oh man.. it makes me cry. And to think it was just.. a memory... wow I'm sad. You put it together so beautifully with the scene in TFA. I will be building up the Ben Solo turn to the light and have he be redeemed and NOT DIE. The whole thing with Palpatine being Rey’s grandfather was creepy and just weird. I’m going to be building up the Knights of Ren and stuff like that. Fingers crossed it goes the way I want it to. I’m also in the planning stages of a entire Star Wars movie series rewrite.

Oh... Where do I start... Opening gives me chills every time. Your editing is amazing.. the way you have edited scenes, made transitions and voiceovers is just first class mastery. THANK YOU for this. As for his death you mention... I'm probably one of the few that thinks it was right decision (even though it breaks my heart every time). Yes, he is not Vader but still... I think Ben wouldn't be able to live with himself after everything he'd done as Kylo (definitely not with killing his father and losing Rey). And although this death=redemption thing is so overused... It also made him a legend and one of the best and most interesting characters in SW universe.
I liked the actor from the start. Ben solo though.... I liked his smile at the end. That's so attractive about him. My boyfriend has a similar voice to him so every time he talks I'm just like "Oh my gosh Ben 😍"
When I say I cried I mean I literally cried for a while it was that good. Ik it’s a fictional character but this edit and the movie makes me feel closer to the character. Oh god this is so beautiful. You did an amazing job editing all those scenes together especially the ones that paralleled from the first movie. He is such a complex and interesting character and this song choice fits him and his journey perfectly. How he was truly never balanced in the force and within himself. But with Rey that balance and belonging gives him more assurance and grounds him. She was his anchor and vise versa. This is so bittersweet, and the "Ben, come home." made me tear up. Loved this truly!

I have absolutely no idea where to start to praise this video! Maybe how epic you matched the lyrics of 'mum' and 'dad' to the scenes with Leia and Han?! Or the parallels between the two Han & Ben encounters?! Or the end? 'Come home' and him running home (to Rey)? Or how you started off with Han and Leia and slowly transitioned to Rey in the end and that she was the one who balanced his dark and light side?! And I could go on like this forever! Every second is so well planned and thought about and put together with so much love for this incredible character. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!

They all sacrifice themselves to see their boy coming back to the Light and he did come back. He deserves so much more. I can't believe they took this hope from the central message of star wars. I hate them for using again the concept of "redemption is worthy only if you die, because your sins are too many"... For once I would love to see true atonement. Ben should have that chance.

Ok everyone is like “omg I’m crying right now 😢” BUT I like actually physically cry because since the release of TFA I have been so invested in these characters and then they choose to simply kill him off?! Leia’s death has true meaning because Ben was in danger but Rey healed him and leia DIDNT disappear but when he healed Rey she did so indirectly she gave her life to Rey through Ben... SOOOOO why did he die? Especially since Rey healed like 3 different people throughout the movie which wasn’t a huge span of time. So he didn’t give his entire life force because he also had Leias on like a backup plan. WHYYY DIDDD HE HAVE TO DIEEE?
Agreed, they hinted and gave us hope of his redemption...only to have that redemption gutted in 5 seconds. He returned, Rey and him could have had a good life. There he could redeem himself ever more and grow old with her. I was so utterly disappointed. I will not be purchasing this movie, even my son who is 14 who loves these movies was not happy with Ben Solo's end of the story. They could have lived together and still ended the series. I just didn't like him dying at the end of the movie. Adam Driver is a great actor and I honestly couldn't think of anyone better than Adam Driver to play as Kylo Ren and Ben Solo. He definitely deserved to have a better ending with Rey his love interest throughout all of The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise Of Skywalker. Also, I am just curious have you seen Rey Kenobi's video that he or she did with Rey and Ben Solo together a.k.a Reylo and the song playing in the background was the song by Bonnie Tyler called Holding Out For A Hero. If you have not seen it yet I recommend that you watch it, because it is very true that Ben Solo is Rey's hero in The Rise Of Skywalker. As Ben Solo/Kylo Ren would say to Rey "We are a Dyad in the force." Which means that they are both stronger in the force when they are both together. I also thought that maybe you could do this song with Rey and Ben Solo together. Also please tell me, if you like Rey Kenobi's video that I just mentioned because I know that I really enjoyed it and again I can't tell you how much I love your editing of Rey and Ben Solo together. It is just Fantastic!!!!

When I say I cried I mean I literally cried for a while it was that good. Ik it’s a fictional character but this edit and the movie makes me feel closer to the character. This edit is absolutely amazing and I cry every single time I watch this. I will watch this on repeat until I get bored of it which will be never cuz it’s that good. Ben is my all time favourite character in Star Wars ❤️😭❤️

It belongs to me" I immediately thought of the scene where Rey passes it to him through their force connection in The Rise of the Skywalker! Again, incredible video to watch! Oh god this is so beautiful. You did an amazing job editing all those scenes together especially the ones that paralleled from the first movie. He is such a complex and interesting character and this song choice fits him and his journey perfectly. How he was truly never balanced in the force and within himself. But with Rey that balance and belonging gives him more assurance and grounds him. She was his anchor and vise versa. This is so bittersweet, and the "Ben, come home." made me tear up. Loved this truly!

Okay so if anyone still thinks he wasn't supposed to be redeemed, or that he deserved his ending, I'MMA SEND EM' THIS BECAUSE YOOOO! This just showed how conflicted he was, and how beautiful his redemption truly was. This captured this character PERFECTLY!!! Like actually the most perfectly. I have absolutely no idea where to start to praise this video! Maybe how epic you matched the lyrics of 'mum' and 'dad' to the scenes with Leia and Han?! Or the parallels between the two Han & Ben encounters?! Or the end? 'Come home' and him running home (to Rey)? Or how you started off with Han and Leia and slowly transitioned to Rey in the end and that she was the one who balanced his dark and light side?! And I could go on like this forever! Every second is so well planned and thought about and put together with so much love for this incredible character. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!

This is a beautiful video and I am still crying for Ben Solo. He deserves so much more. All the Skywalkers did. They all sacrifice themselves to see their boy coming back to the Light and he did come back. He deserves so much more. I can't believe they took this hope from the central message of star wars. I hate them for using again the concept of "redemption is worthy only if you die, because your sins are too many"... For once I would love to see true atonement. Ben should have that chance.

Ok everyone is like “omg I’m crying right now 😢” BUT I like actually physically cry because since the release of TFA I have been so invested in these characters and then they choose to simply kill him off?! Leia’s death has true meaning because Ben was in danger but Rey healed him and leia DIDNT disappear but when he healed Rey she did so indirectly she gave her life to Rey through Ben... SOOOOO why did he die? Especially since Rey healed like 3 different people throughout the movie which wasn’t a huge span of time. So he didn’t give his entire life force because he also had Leias on like a backup plan. WHYYY DIDDD HE HAVE TO DIEEE?
Agreed, they hinted and gave us hope of his redemption...only to have that redemption gutted in 5 seconds. He returned, Rey and him could have had a good life. There he could redeem himself ever more and grow old with her. I was so utterly disappointed. I will not be purchasing this movie, even my son who is 14 who loves these movies was not happy with Ben Solo's end of the story. They could have lived together and still ended the series. As a fan I feel cheated

I love this so much you are an amazing editor and I love Rey and Ben Solo together. I enjoyed the movie and I loved Rey kissing Ben Solo at the end and his smile was so cute. I just didn't like him dying at the end of the movie. Adam Driver is a great actor and I honestly couldn't think of anyone better than Adam Driver to play as Kylo Ren and Ben Solo. He definitely deserved to have a better ending with Rey his love interest throughout all of The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise Of Skywalker. Also, I am just curious have you seen Rey Kenobi's video that he or she did with Rey and Ben Solo together a.k.a Reylo and the song playing in the background was the song by Bonnie Tyler called Holding Out For A Hero. If you have not seen it yet I recommend that you watch it, because it is very true that Ben Solo is Rey's hero in The Rise Of Skywalker. As Ben Solo/Kylo Ren would say to Rey "We are a Dyad in the force." Which means that they are both stronger in the force when they are both together. I also thought that maybe you could do this song with Rey and Ben Solo together. Also please tell me, if you like Rey Kenobi's video that I just mentioned because I know that I really enjoyed it and again I can't tell you how much I love your editing of Rey and Ben Solo together. It is just Fantastic!!!!

There was so many mixed reactions at their kiss, but I didn’t hear anyone be negative. Not one! It was more like “Awh!” We all knew Reylo was Endgame. This was beautiful and I did tear up a bit because I loved Kylo Ren since TFA, and I loved Ben Solo at the end.
