    What a brilliant and exciting social enterprise. I have been taking Spirulina for around 15 years and swear by it, being a vegetarian it is the backbone of my health regime.

    Can you please do a video of the tank set up explaining the flow of the water?? I have understood how air is supplied but couldn’t understand the water supply system. Therefore it would be a great help.

    How do I get one of these sealed buckets to grow spirulina in. I need a transparent bucket with a small hole for an air bubbler. I can't drill a hole myself.

    5:30: ...you would like to use the CO2 of an exhaust into the process but how are you going to controle the pH in your tank dynamically because I suppose the pH will come down if CO2 goes up in your system ? Can you use a chemical buffer system without killing your algae or reducing the quality ?

    Seems the plastic would leach into the Spirulina and lessen the phytonutrients like vegetables grown in greenhouses due to the lessened light spectrum, probably less than it would for vegetables, being a more simple organism.

    • @DuelingBongos
      @DuelingBongos 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually the leaching effect of plastic can be beneficial because it removes possible toxins associated with Spirulina: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microcystin

    What a good idea. I couldn't help but notice though, and I don't think either of them realized it either, the value of CO2 for plant life... all plants benefit and grow faster when CO2 is higher, when CO2 is at 280ppm plants stop growing, when CO2 is at 180ppm all life on earth will cease to exist, yup that's right extinction of all life. We have been very close to losing life on earth at least once that I'm aware of when there was super-low CO2 levels. Currently, we're at 415ppm CO2 and we're seeing a greening of the earth. Inside your car, CO2 levels are in the thousands, same inside your home.
    The global warming climate change people don't have a clue that CO2 is absolutely necessary for all life on earth. Reducing CO2 to the levels the activists are demanding will kill us all, so unless their goal is worldwide genocide they need to get their heads out of the global warming sand and smarten up before they cause a global catastrophe.
    The other thing they need to become aware of is that their movement isn't an organic movement created by them, in fact the very controlling people who they want the world to be rid of (evil corporations and govts) are the ones who created the global warming climate change narrative to make a sh*t-ton of money. I'm astonished by their blindness. Just sayin' in case anyone is interested in real-world science and real-world controller's. I hope this guys spirulina's business does really well.
    CO2, whether manmade or natural, is not nor has it ever been, an enemy to the planet or the environment.
