The way the crowd popped when his music hit was absolutely incredible. I still go back and watch the clip every so often.

It was the best return of all time. Even his real injuries made it storytelling. I was crying.

That moment when edge came out in the 2020 rumble, everyone needed a good moment because after Kobe Bryants passing, we needed a good moment and edge coming back to wrestle again was definitely a good moment to remember
And then the world went to shit.
My question is, did the commentators and wrestlers already in the ring know it? Coz the commentary was completely on point.
I cried.
I straight up cried.
I cried the day he retired.
I cried the day he came back.
I was so happy for him.
I was there at e RR, and I can only imagine what it was like for him. But as a lifelong wrestling fan…it was equally unreal and dream like.
I remember my friend telling me Edge was probably going to return at Royal Rumble or after WrestleMania as he was getting cleared but I didn't believe it. I remember when he retired talking about his arms would go numb and I'm like he got lucky and I would have been fine if he never returned. Then he did and I went ape shit crazy leave of making out and I could tell something big was coming because everyone else had watched the Royal Rumble at my house but stayed until I got off work and watched it with me and when his number was coming up everyone was watching me. No one has ever stuck around if I had to work during an event so that should have tipped me off.

I lost my shit when he came back. I’d heard the rumors but I thought that there was no way.
It was such an amazing moment. It’s too bad Vince was still booking. Edge could have had a great ending to an amazing career rather than be working crap matches for aew.

Ngl it was literally the moment I kickstarted my career and then never stopped thanks to edge for giving me hope if he can come out of retirement then there is nothing else stopping me too
It was on that day, Adam saw clearly.
It was surreal to him
I've seen everybody post articles about Edge "possibly" returning & I was like "There’s no way WWE's gonna clear Edge. He's never gonna wrestle again because of his neck." Then Royal Rumble & the countdown happened. To say that I was shocked to see Edge return to actually COMPETE in the Royal Rumble Match, let alone any type of match, is putting it very lightly. I was losing my f'n mind & I truly felt like I was 6 years old again. That's a memory that I'll never ever forget.

When edges music hit, I fell off of my bed and bruised my tailbone. It was worth it😂
One thing of note here: Edge came back at Summerslam 2019 and Speared Elias. It was noted that this was his first active move since retiring in 2011. He was always used as fodder such as with Seth Rollins in 2014 up to that point. There was suspicion at this point that he was finally cleared. WWE is very strict with never using permanently injured wrestlers in any combat role.
Although Adam Copeland/Edge didn't win any titles in wwe since his return in 2020, he still had some great matches there. It's cool that he's a title holder in AEW now. If Beth Phoenix joins him in AEW soon, Hopefully she'll win some titles there as well.
Titles mean nothing aew is nothing but easy money that will be closed soon

Dude Edge’s return was and will always be the best return, because none of us thought it was possible, now whenever I need motivation and a reminder to stay hungry, keep fighting, be determined and have that grit, I go back and watch his return

Something that made edge return at the Rumble special is coming back from what was him retiring from serious injury. Also that no one expected it and there was no rumors of him making a return to wrestling.
WWE announced it on their website that week that he was coming back
So he dissasociated during his return. That's wild.

My personal greatest return as a fan. Punk was great but there was always that possibility. Edge was totally out of the blue. Pure joy.
The one disappointing thing was its an awful pity edge and randy wasn't infront off a full wrestlemania crowd

Then, the Rumble came around and everyone thought Punk or Edge would come back. People had a feeling, but they didn't know for 100%!
Well, I can tell you how I felt when his music hit, and he appeared. I cried. I fucking cried. I was overjoyed, I couldn't believe that this was happening and overall, a moment wrestling fans like me would never forget. It was like a dream and a just the best feeling seeing Edge wrestle again. What a fucking surprise that was.
I saw Edge's return from neck surgery and I was very like, "this is so incredibly awesome"😊
