Watch the Nitty Gritty dance... I watched this dance recently and thought that it was both the strangest and funniest dance I have ever seen. It makes me wish that I knew how to dance because it looks like it was a lot of fun. This was probably a dance recital where they had to showcase their skills as dancers to continue their next level... Still it was so much fun to watch, and it was clear that all the dancers had fun as well.
You dancers are great, to bad some guys could not be brought in to dance with you. There were no shortages of male dancers in the 1950s and 1960s everyone danced, it was the birth of Rock and Roll. If most young people danced like this today the obesity problem would really drop.
I think that everyone did a fantastic job. It looks like this is a dance recital where it was a class/level of dancers. I think that this showcased their talents beautifully.
