One of the best endings of a movie ever made, if we see the scene properly, we can find that it is the villian who is winning by defeating the hero with his death. Mitran is not fully successful in getting Siddarth to the court. Siddarth who is wiser than Mitran wins the latter by dying before entering the hands of justice
It goes much deeper.. Siddharth wins for sure but he also acknowledges that Jayam Ravi character is his true equal and only he deserves to get what he wants.
