great shot, and great deer
Thank you very much. I was happy with him. Thanks for subscribing.
Congrats Brad on a great hunt and buck! Btw - since I shot with you at TN Classic I switched to gap shooting with one eye closed. My accuracy (and confidence) has increased significantly! We missed you at Comptons this year. Gary
@@bowhunter7922 Thanks a lot. WOW!! That’s great to hear Gary. Yeah I really enjoyed Comptons. I will find my back up there sometime, as I do one trip a year in addition to what I do locally. Was planning on Trad Worlds this year, but my shoulder put me on the I.R. for 6 weeks. Going to shoot a 3-D today. Exactly 7 weeks since the last shoot. Talking bout cabin fever. Planning on either going to shoot Lancaster or go to E.T.A.R. This year. Great to hear from you and look forward to seeing you soon.
Both excellent hunt and harvest.
Of my expeience:
- Proper Single Bevel broadhead tipped arrow setups are the most lethal with regard to penetration on game.
- Lower profile Single Bevel BH's routinely leave less than desirable bloodtrails...lower exits actually often increase the blood trail. ...wider Single Bevel BH's may produce acceptable bloodtrails,...However, I then wonder if the bone splitting capabilities have been compromised.
- Today, my Single Bevel BH's are reserved for much tougher game
Hey Scott, thanks for the compliment on the buck and the hunt. He scored 127. As far as your comments on single bevel broadheads, I completely agree. Thanks for taking time to comment.
Nice Buck how many pounds do you shoot
Hey Jerry, thanks for the compliment on my buck. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. Here are the stats on my bow and arrow combination:
45 pounds @ 29 1/4 draw
655 grains TAW
30% FOC
410 grains up front
145 FPS
Mom = .421
Nice buck and a great shot Brad.
