Mould is not as dangerous as the university of misinformed social media spreads. Yes there are specific molds that can be dangerous. The entire thing is blown way out of proportion.

@@mauricerytonbro tell that to the people that got sick breathing that shit. Nobody cares about "fearmongering" its the possibility that it could be dangerous which is why we overstate testing and mitigation. For information: I bought a very high quality mattress a few years ago, along with an even more expensive memory foam top mattress, to get some really good sleep. I was never really happy with it, till I replaced the bedframe with a higher quality product, with bended oak bed springs. It completely transformed the bed, even though they're a foot and a half below the top of the bed. What I'm saying is: Those 2 x 4 supporting the mattress aren't doing you any favors. I'm old military and I can sleep anywhere, but for truly excellent sleep, the springs are important.

No box spring? They exist for a reason. You're wasting a lot of lumber, and making this a lot more complicated than it needs to be. Turn the cross members on edge like the outside. Not only will it make it several times stronger, you can space them farther apart. Put in bridging on the ends and your mattress wont sag at all. I'd also put the legs on the corners, it will make it a lot more stable. A single post in the middle will eliminate any sagging.

That could have been said poorly it’s late and I’ve had two rough nights of sleep but either way from my perspective that truly is incredible what you have done. Thank you for that video 😊

That’s cool and good but a steel frame would’ve been cheaper

Do you ever make build plans? And sell them? Just wondering cause this looks like an actual beginner friendly bed frame
