    Any kind of alternator to charge on the go still? What about a solar panel on the roof?

    Comparison against the Polaris Ranger EV is what we would like to see. Is the Prowler quieter than the Ranger EV? Does it have the transmission whine that the EV has? When reviewing the electrics we would appreciate turning off the background music and doing a segment allowing us to hear it. That's why the hunters are buying them. That's their use to most of us. Thanks for the review.

    So it's not a golf cart but then you say it is, 1:30.

      He said it because that’s what people perceive it to be. He said golf cart sarcastically, then explains why it’s not a golf cart. It’s not really that complicated.

    it has a cushman front cowl and the seat is similar but it is not a golf cart. i wouldnt say its a full blown UTV though either. i work at an ezgo dealer and this is basically a bad boy buggy model. the power from the electric motors is really good however

    Why no mention of the recharging process? Did you only use 1 battery charge?

    • @jasonlewis995
      @jasonlewis995 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. One charger. A charge will last about 28 hours in 'turtle 'and 20 in 'hare'...they're super top heavy though. Good on flat land , not for rocky , angled terrain.

    What the hell do you mean at 1:18 by "boco noise"? Were you trying to say buku (boo-coo)? That just made me laugh and a little sad all at the same time. Do you ever visit the Leaning Tower of Pizza, or have French benefits at your day job? Great video and rundown on the EV though. Your assessment is spot on in almost every way. Thanks for taking the time to put it together and share it with us.

    At least with a golf cart you can get lithium ion. In northern Maine I am so sick of that acid batteries I can't even tell you

    You guys will review a golf cart but leave out the odes utvs? Do you only review the guys who pay you? I'm telling you guys the new odes utvs have more standard options than others offer total and there zues system is best on the market but magically there the one and only brand you won't touch, now the list includes golf carts. ...

      One and only brand we wont touch? What are you talking about. Do you know how many fringe ATV and UTV brands there are in North America. Id never even heard of ODES until reading your comment. Heres a though, if they're so much better than other SXSs and ATVs, why have I never heard of them? Here's another thought, if they WANT us to review their products, they could call US and see about working together. But we simply cant, and wont, hunt down every "other" atv or SXS brand and beg them to give us a vehicle to test.

      Odes? They are junk. Kind of like Arctic Cat, except while looking more appealing.

      Another review of one.
      Ride Report: I rode/drove a 2013 odes dominator today. Here is what I think. Coming from a 2011 RZR s, XP, and a 2012 Ranger XP 800 here is my view on it. First thing I notice is its huge. 64 inchs wide. They basically took the body/design of a yamaha rhino and put 6 inch wide plastic rivited fender flares on it. The entire body/interior has the cheap plastic rivits on it. fit and finish of all the plastic, window fitmet, interior, dash, controls was typical china quality. The motor sounded to run good. The trans seemed to have a low speed hitch when going from a stop to a move. The axle boots had zip ties holding them tight to axles (not steel band clamps). The ignition looked to be out of a 60s china made car. The interior noise is LOUD!!!! the engine has a vent right between the two passengers, so you hear a lot of engine noise. There is no back wall behind the seats so road debris comes off the rear tires and into the front compartment. This was annoying as I had all kinds of dirt on me. The rear bumper is a really really shady setup. If you even look at it wrong it will be bent at the mounts. The brakes are the weakest I have felt on a UTV.....and it makes sense as it doesnt have 4 wheel disk, it has a rear diff brake that looks to be the size of the brake used on an early polaris scrambler. I did like the hydraulic raising rear bed. Pretty cool feature. It also had a front and rear winch, which was nice. The seats were comfortable and good lumbar support. I noticed when i drove it it had terrible amount of bump steer. Every bump you hit it transfered back into the steering wheel. Also considering it is a utility side by side it had a very small rear bed. A polaris ranger bed would be much wider and longer.
      Overall its what I expected for a china made rhino clone. Quality/fit and finish was crap. I fully expect he will have lots of issues with it within a year. Im already seeing issues with idle fluctuation between 1500-2000 rpms. It wouldnt go from High to Neutral without grinding. A few rubber gromets are missing so it vibrates like mad. I would not reccomend this to anyone I know. This would be a great UTV for $4000, for $9000 you would be stupid to consider when you can get close to that range for a Polaris ranger XP 800.

    @chadshumaker2789 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    That is the best tap dancing around a review I have ever seen! You get paid to review something and dont want to say "It doesnt really do anything well and it isnt particularly nice" so you say its "in a class of its own" LOL. It IS a electric golf cart that is 4wd. the steering, body and all that say it is. Fastest way to lose credibility is to keep selling out like that.

    • @pavmentsurfer13
      @pavmentsurfer13 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So what your saying is that if a company builds a product that truly DOESNT have any competition but you dont like it, no one else, who MAY see the benefit and usefulness of it is allowed to like it either. Gottcha. I can only say what YOU agree with or what YOU already think. If I say anything else, im a sellout. Have you ridden one? Nope. Do have any use for a vehicle like this? Im guessing you dont. But heres an interesting fact. Textron actually sells alot of "jacked up golf carts" and found that those customers (not you) were asking for a MORE capable vehicle that had the same electric traits but more capabilities and durability. So they started with an ALL NEW chassis thats built more like a SXS than a golf cart... then they added the AWD system and independent suspension that is NOTHING LIKE A GOLF CART. But I get what your saying. Because it LOOKS like a golf cart your incapable of seeing it as anything else.

    • @chadshumaker2789
      @chadshumaker2789 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I am however saying that because it LOOKS like a golf cart and the suspension is like a golf cart (only the rear that has the optional IRS would be different) and that it has the same accessories as a golf cart that THAT makes it a golf cart. I did not once say that no one wanted it, I did however say that it doesnt really do anything well (other than it is quiet). People buy crap all the time. Also just so you know....its not in a class of its own. There are other companies that make them so you can say it all you want but its not true. As far as me being "incapable of seeing it as anything else" that just a statement to try to prove your point with no backing. I had an open mind on it...but it didnt show its self to be anything other than a lifted 4x4 golf cart.

    • @chadshumaker2789
      @chadshumaker2789 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also find it comical that when someone disagrees with you your first reaction is to come at them personally. I made a statement about the machine its self and how I personally do not agree with your assessment of it. Your reply was to say that I am incapable of things and to try to belittle and degrade. Class act.

    • @Paelorian
      @Paelorian 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does do something well. It's electric, so it's much quieter than combustion and less expensive to refuel/recharge. It's a no-frills vehicle, so it's less expensive than many other off-road electric vehicles with similar capabilities. It's not what everyone is looking for, but that's true of everything. The review calls it a specialized vehicle. I'm sure it's a great choice for a lot of people. Maybe you need something to quietly zip through a wooded property hauling stuff, and you drive a lot, but you don't need much range. A fancy "golf cart" like this could be ideal. Sure there are more capable vehicles, but they probably cost more, too.

      @@pavmentsurfer13 - 1st of all, this machine and its lack of B.S. features (that I would never need/use), is absolutely perfect in every way for what I need it for (hunting) - so chad is just trolling to entertain himself...
