I have watched Passion of the Christ and when it came to the part of what they did to our savior, I sobbed uncontrollably and turned away from looking at it! Jesus NEVER deserved that, we did! What Jesus had to go through for us because he loved us so much should make everyone of us turn from sin, repent and follow him. I remember after watching the movie I thought every time I heard someone complaining of aches and pains I wish they knew what Jesus went through for them and maybe they would not complain anymore. This played at my best friend's funeral.. she passed away at the age of nine and I was only eight.. it felt like it wasn't real. because I remember at church she looked at me with a smile and said I can't wait to meet god, I wonder what ill be like and a week later she and I got into a childish fight I never got to same i'm sorry as I saw cop car after cop car racing down her little street and a fire truck I ran rushing down her street barefoot as fast as I can I remember my feet unable to keep up with me as I felt nothing but fear I was my friend, next thing I know I saw two gentlemen trying to figure out how to get someone out I asked what happened and they told me to go home. later that night I got woken up by my mom to get the news it was my friend she had a seizure and lost control of her bike flying into a twinty foot ditch full force hit her head on a tree killing her on impact but her heart didn't know when to stop. sadly the sight was to horrible for me to see as a child so my mom didn't take me. but with the news I stayed up all night crying in her arms.. still to this day with a broken heart it haunts me how she said I cant wait to meet god and a week later she passed away im twenty three and it still makes me crying hearing this song and the memory that comes a long with it. RIP to my best friend now my angel on high, I hope meeting god was everything you dreamed it would be but it will never take away the questions and the broken heart I have. I miss you always will.

I still miss her, always will, but I trust she is with Dad in Heaven waiting for me. R Hopzing Truly sad that you do not believe the Bible, our basic instruction before leaving earth. I can only pray that you change your mind and invite Christ into your heart. It would be pointless to argue with you. But of this I am sure. The Bible says that EVERYONE will one day acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord either from heaven or hell. I hope you are not declaring those words from a lake of fire.

"He could have called 10,000 angels but He died alone for you and me". My Saviour died willingly, sacrificially for me - and for you. His Father turned His back on Him - so that we would never have to experience that separation. It is such a privilege to belong to Him and so precious to know that we have 24/7 access to God.
With that comes a great responsibility to tell others the good news of the Gospel and His love for them.

His Father didn't exactly turn His back on Him...God was showing us that He so loved us that He offered His only son in death (a sacrifice). Jesus could have called ten thousand angels, and those angels were waiting, but He chose to take our sins in his death and save those who want to be saved in eternal life. Our Father did not force Him to do this. It was man who nailed Him to that cross. God the Father will never, ever turn on ANYONE, including Jesus.
Thank God for dying for me on the cross of calvary ....that I may have life eternal in Jesus Christ, our savior.

This played at my best friend's funeral.. she passed away at the age of nine and I was only eight.. it felt like it wasn't real. because I remember at church she looked at me with a smile and said I can't wait to meet god, I wonder what ill be like and a week later she and I got into a childish fight I never got to same i'm sorry as I saw cop car after cop car racing down her little street and a fire truck I ran rushing down her street barefoot as fast as I can I remember my feet unable to keep up with me as I felt nothing but fear I was my friend, next thing I know I saw two gentlemen trying to figure out how to get someone out I asked what happened and they told me to go home. later that night I got woken up by my mom to get the news it was my friend she had a seizure and lost control of her bike flying into a twinty foot ditch full force hit her head on a tree killing her on impact but her heart didn't know when to stop. sadly the sight was to horrible for me to see as a child so my mom didn't take me. but with the news I stayed up all night crying in her arms.. still to this day with a broken heart it haunts me how she said I cant wait to meet god and a week later she passed away im twenty three and it still makes me crying hearing this song and the memory that comes a long with it. RIP to my best friend now my angel on high, I hope meeting god was everything you dreamed it would be but it will never take away the questions and the broken heart I have. I miss you always will.

Michael Gaynor I can relate....my precious mother died after a long illness (Alzheimer’s and heart disease) on 12/24/2015...Christmas Eve! I still miss her, always will, but I trust she is with Dad in Heaven waiting for me. Yes, all sad songs like this one can easily bring tears, especially at this time of year when we should be joyful, but it is hard when you associate this season with a terrible loss.
