I was one of the passenger on that flight. The take off was little shaken, but the landing is actually smooth tbh. The flight attendant was great when they gave me another protective suit. Glad that you catched that flight 🥳

the most beautiful Aircraft after the 777X and a gorgeous paint scheme to match, does anyone know the Vietnam Airlines 787-10 routes? I do also love this Paint Scheme on the A350's. BTW that graceful takeoff is so jaw dropping, hands down best Plane Spotter on TH-cam.
Vietnam’s B78X does anything from Domestic hi density flights like SGN-HAN as well as loads of International routes like Hanoi-Seoul Saigon-Seoul Tokyo( NRT) and Tokyo (HND) Shanghai, Beijing, Sydney , Melbourne , Frankfurt and London or Moscow . It’s swapped with B787-9 or A350 depending on necessity.

Nice. We at SFO have had three VN Repatriation flights, with a fourth one happening today. VN has used two 78X's and one A359. The fourth one today is a B78X. VN has such an amazing and gorgeous livery!
Would be nice if Vietnam Airlines serves YVR regularly once things go back to normal. They serve Pho for breakfast in business class on long haul flights that originate in Vietnam.
As eyetrapper explained , we had to taxi up to a certain point (about 10 mts away from actual parking position and than set parking brake, cutoff the engines and let ground engineers TOW IN the last few meters.

What does it mean to be “not gate fitted”?
As this aircraft is new to YVR, it hasn't been gate fitted. It's just to measure and see if it will fit in the space. Same with the A35K.
