    Thanks for the tutorial. Is it possible to add the 3D effect of the customized buttons when pressed?

      haha glad you like it :) If it didn't make files so big, I'd try to sneak the dino into more files to lighten things up lol

    note: animated 3d-models also have different scenes (animation reels)
    click on the 3d-model (therefore go to tab 3d-model), in the top left corner of the screen you have the pause/play button an right next to it "scenes"

      This part of the 3D models brings me too much joy I must say :)

    yeah but you can only assign a macro to those custom macro btns. there are no events like onhover or onchange... so how to customize the activex btns to look like that?

    • @chrishellmax
      @chrishellmax 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use active x control buttons, then you have a lot more wiggle room and you can also add vba code to it.

    And when do we need to creat buttons? Sorry, I only use regular formulas & pivots. And can’t understand where I could use buttons, because now I crazily want to try it!

    Very Cool!! The only problem is that the icons take up a lot of storage space. Thank you very much.

    • @TeachExcel
      @TeachExcel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yesss that is the sad thing, but I did notice that you can repeat the same 3d model multiple times and it won't change the size of the file after the addition of the first one, at least in my tests. But I think the sample file for this tutorial is 40mb with the dino lol.

    Can you remove the play and pause button so it isn’t there ?

    Thanks for the video. Is there an option to animate the icon only when it is clicked?

    • @TeachExcel
      @TeachExcel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just checked it out a little and it looks like it would be under ShapeRange.Model3D in VBA and that seems to only control the view of it, not if it is moving. Maybe there in another way to do it, but I'm not sure at the moment.

    • @TeachExcel
      @TeachExcel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can pause it though, by hovering over it and clicking the big pause icon that appears.

    A lot of assumptions and pre-work to follow along making this less useful than advertised.
