@@alexjohnson4427 beaches in Sydney (and I’m sure along the coast and in other cities too) have “nippers” clubs. Basically kids do like swimming, surfing, sand running, life saving skills etc. on like a Saturday or Sunday morning. I think the term “nippers” is derived from the term “shark biscuit”, slang for a kid at the beach, in the sense that nippers will get nipped by a shark. Or maybe it’s bc no one could come up with a better name idfk I give up basically just a kids beach club.
I am looking for a show that aired on Channel Nine. I don't remember what it was called. I think the premise was that the show granted people their wishes. Many wanted to meet their favorite celebrities. After the huge popularity of High School Musical, Zac Efron was involved in one episode. A little girl wanted to meet him.
You’ve never heard ‘some’ of this slang in your life is what you should say. If you don’t at least know what an Esky, stubby holder, thongs, and budgie smugglers are than I don’t think you can call yourself Australian, cause they’re pretty damn common! The only ones I didn’t know personally was ‘cossie’ and ‘Nipper.
@@sean95 cossie isnt used in every state thats why and nipper is the baby surf life savers at a surfclub ( 4-10) so if you didnt grow up by the beach why would you know that? Some slag is state or location specific
no one knows what those words mean unless you grew up in Australia. my parents migrated from another country and they probably don't know what those words mean either
