I see most people have disbelief in this video on item asylum and slap battles not being similar so I would like to present to you: my reply to @notaspy7825: Look in the depths, Slap battles and item asylum are 2 games that are competitive, sure item asylum and slap battles only connect through references but that's how they are alike. Most games use original ideas such as doors with unique monsters and sounds while item asylum uses refences from pretty much anywhere, such as smile and killstreak how basically each item gets stronger with more kills. Yo mama also because they would both play the yo mama theme but just have different jokes. These games can also connect in a different way you may think, like item asylum has bosses you can choose from, but so does slap battles with really only being Bob and The Kraken, this does show another similarity, and of course we can't forget the backhand slap, not a reference but they are still similar. This video was just showed how some of those references were similar such as smile and killstreak how basically each item gets stronger with more kills, I do see why you may think I'm wrong and even myself I can see that but this was just how I looked at it. (I hope I proved my point or I gonna sue my school ð)
my thinking with this is just that youâre making connections through references to other media and common game elements. those types of connections donât make a game similar to another in my eyes, that just means the gameâs creators are aware of the media and wanted to reference that media, which is done often across many different games. the bosses and killstreaks are different between the two games, since item asylum and slap battles handles the mechanics of killstreak weapons and bosses in a different manner. (also the backhand slap is a reference to hoodwinked. search âdo i amuse you?â to see the clip.) my overall point is that the games are mechanically different, and the similarities pointed out in the comment and video are not much more than references to known media and common game elements that are used across many genres.
â@@CastleCommander2400nothing is similar at all, only references which are purely coincidental which you thought were similar and pretty much things implemented in any PvP game with game modes ever (in talking about ia gamemodes)
they only really used the same references. otherwise the games are really different. stuff like smile and killstreak weapons are just mechanics you can find in any other game, so i donât see why thatâd be a connecting factor here.

Yea but, Compare killstreak and smile is not quite right. Also item asylum has a extra version of your enteral revard: golden knife, it didnt gives you the Victims skin but you still oneshots him from back
yes, but spy glove also steals the skin that's the only reason why I put those in there. also pls tell me a game that has smile / killstreak mechanics, all other games i played just don't have those mechanics
1st. The redacted glove and Lobby 106 aren't taken from eachother at all instead it is a reference to SCP 106's pocket dimension 2nd. The Yo Mama jokes with "Cheeky" and "Yo mama" are a reference to Yo Mama and item asylum's one has audio for the insults also cheeky is meant to just push people out of the way while Yo mama is meant to be a stun to use other weapons. 3rd. While Killstreak and Smile are both weapons that get stronger each kill, the killstreak mechanic is used in other games too, also Smile let's you get a killstreak point by hitting a dead body with the hammer. 4th. Despite having the exact same mechanic the item asylum one was released way before the slap battles one. 5th. They are both references to tf2 spy. also don't you dare reuse that "Look in the depths, Slap battles and item asylum are 2 games that are competitive, sure item asylum and slap battles only connect through references but that's how they are alike. " sentence again like write it in different words with the exact same meaning.
I'm just gonna say it. This video was heavily opinion based, and before I even posted this I already knew that some people would explain how I'm "wrong" and the look in the depths thing wasn't to change your opinion I put that there because nobody could see why I thought the games were similar, so that was only made for people to understand why I thought I was right, if you disagree go ahead from what I have learned trying to change someone's opinion is like trying to get the trap glove on the main island, both being next to impossible. Last thing, the chose is up to you whatever you decide, I don't care about likes or dislikes (even though I look at them) I don't care about views I don't care about who, where, when, and why someone is watching these videos, I do care about weather I myself likes my own video and all I need is my own approval and since I wanted this video to go on the internet, I put it there.
no like I meant reword the look in the depths thing with the exact same meaning to avoid straight up repetition because it's possible to get banned by saying the same thing over and over again, I respect your opinion@@CastleCommander2400
@@epikdummy6702 3 things, 1. I'm kind of lazy and don't really want to repeat it even if it would help my point, 2 how would I get banned? and 3. thank you for not starting an argument.
4 references being similar (not including comparing Smile from Lobotomy Corp and a Kill streak item??) doesn't make slap battles and item asylum similar??
for me slap battles is stressing and sometimes isnt that fun im not saying is bad its just that i dont like it to much i have more time whit IA than slap battles
Smile is from Lobotomy Corporation. It is NOT a killstreak item. Killing people with smile is optional. The real way it powers up is by consuming 10 dead bodies of dead players. Clearly not a killstreak item. Which then grants the ability to merge and gain the abilities of the Abnormality "Smiling Mountain of Bodies" from Lobotomy Corporation.
Ok I didn't know Lobotomy Corporation was a thing till just now, and I guess you're right about 10 dead people when killstreak is alive, but i thought if it as just 10 people
ââ@@CastleCommander2400you really thought a blob of living flesh that feeds off the dead was similar to a soul stealing metal spray painted shaped into a hand were references to eachother?

Item asylum added references, but the games aren't similar. At all.
Ok, true lets say this: 2 games that have similar features
â@@CastleCommander2400nothing is similar at all, only references which are purely coincidental which you thought were similar and pretty much things implemented in any PvP game with game modes ever (in talking about ia gamemodes)
Average slap battles fan nothing else
slap battles fans when the guy that got a sword from his mom isnt ragdolling
The only reason they're similar is because they used the same references
ye idk maybe I should change the title
Sb fans when ragdoll exists:
they only really used the same references. otherwise the games are really different. stuff like smile and killstreak weapons are just mechanics you can find in any other game, so i donât see why thatâd be a connecting factor here.
