This is legendary song in my opinion, it never gets old.
There absolutely is so much art and symbolism in their dancing! When they do the pumping with their hand gestures in the chorus, if you watch their hands they go to the ears, eyes and mouth, which is symbolising ‘hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’. Another great touch is where they resemble puppets on strings where jimin controls their movements, as well as the ‘zombie hands’ you mentioned, and proceed to fall to the floor, going with the ‘erase myself and make me your doll’ part of the lyrics. So much detail in everything they do ❤️🔥

That is an extremely underrated song (and choreo)! 💜
Watching this choreo again made me realize why BTS is so special. I mean, all kpop groups have mad dance skills - with the precision, and the professional 'clean-ness'. But BTS often goes that extra mile to bring another layer of meaning to their moves. It's not just dancing to express the mood or meaning of the song - which is great in itself - but adding a layer of storytelling. And that creates actual poetry in motion. I also feel this with the choreo for Spring Day, Tomorrow, Butterfly, Black Swan, Let Go (see stage mix th-cam.com/video/EtQfU4RrhoI/w-d-xo.html)... even for the social/political commentary songs like Am I Wrong, and Baepsae.
Anyway, I saw someone recommend the dance practice for Blood, Sweat and Tears -- yes, that is an absolute must. Another cool one that was released recently for FESTA 2022 (as a "Practice Record") is for the song Best of Me. "Am I Wrong" also has a Practice Record - maybe watch that one as well as the stage mix: th-cam.com/video/rXmWUkRetD0/w-d-xo.html. For Danger (song from 2014), please watch the original dance practice - it hits more than the practice record released this year, IMO. Also, you must see this one (from 2015) - just go into it without knowing anything except that it was for a TV dance battle and they're not dancing to their own songs: th-cam.com/video/S1Up-ZzHmuw/w-d-xo.html.

More like puppets on a string (which is how they described it to their younger sibling group) rather then zombie hands…..but if that’s how you see it HA🧟♂️. Jimin describes his fall into a 1/2 split as if he is a puppet on a string…..and suddenly the string is cut….and you fall to the ground. He’s so damn talented. That is NOT an easy move because he bounces right back up and keeps dancing in sync with the members 😳💜

Respect from members of other K Pop groups, particularly 4th generation groups, is not really an issue. It pretty much is there. And BTS shows friendship and respect back.
Respect from fandoms is a trickier issue. Many fans become so obsessed with promoting their favorite group that they will do whatever they think is necessary to advance that group. This often involves pretty disrespectful behaviors toward other groups and their fans. It is sad music as should be enjoyed not in the limited context of appreciating the output of one's favorite group but in the context of a sea of artists trying to give the world something to be enjoyed.
I always find the fanwars amusing (and sad at the same time), since we know that many of these idols are friends or even dating.
There’s going to be a lot of heads exploding when the idols start marrying in a few years’ time.

I hope you guys can do a reaction to Spring Day's Dance practice. To me, that was like poetry in motion. I was attracted to BTS when they did their first AMA awards performance and it was their choreography that got my attention. A group of guys who could dance, sing, rap and do choreography while doing those.
I was not a hip hop or rap fan, because I did not appreciate when rap artists just recited words to a beat, and hip hop artists began with copying other already famous beats and song melodies. If they were so talented, why don't they make their own songs? They couldn't sing, they couldn't harmonize, they couldn't play instruments, and in the early days their rhyming words were so elementary like a elementary school poem. An example was when Nikki Minaj's version with BTS on Idol. Tear, Lear, Korea, put your hands in the air. C'mon!! This reminds me of RM's verse in Joke where he mentions other rappers with just saying 3 or 4 words.
It was watching BTS in Mic Drop that showed me their diversity, and when I saw a live performance of when they did Cypher 4 and how hyped the crowd was getting, that made me a fan of THEIR rapping and hip hop style, only when BTS does it. I still won't go out and buy other rappers or hip hop, BTS is all I need.
I think haters hate BTS when they do choreography is because it makes THEIR biases and STANS look bad. They don't put in the effort to sing, dance, learn choreography, and put in the time to get it performed effortlessly.
What I DO appreciate about BTS is that unlike other boy bands from the west, or groups, you get to watch ALL 7 of them. It's not like you go to watch a concert of a certain solo artist, example like any rapper, where the songs all sound the same, look the same, backup dancers. I will pay $100 for this? Nope. It's unlike watching a band like Coldplay where you have a front man and main singer like Chris Martin, and pretty much don't watch the rest of the band. BTS allows us to watch ALL of them. It's not just a couple of other rappers waiting till their moment, but all the rappers in BTS are dancing when it's not their part. So knowing all the effort that these boys have done to put on their performances and pull them off flawlessly is why I love BTS. Practice makes perfect, and they are as close to perfection as performing artists I have known in my lifetime.
Then it’s interesting that BTS obviously look up to Coldplay.
@@djlivvy46 I believe it was Jin's favorite song and plays it all the time. The rest of the group heard it and sings it and the rest is history. It's also important to note that they pretty much did their version almost exactly the same as the way Coldplay did it. It shows respect for the other band.
