Now there’s an observation on life that hits the mark. “It’s so funny how they can go from little tiny chicks to these ruthless chickens.”
You two never have a dull day! Amazing watching you move that heavy structure.

It might sound weird but I love when you guys make mistakes. It shows how human you really are and you let us all know that not everything you do is peaches and cream. You also show what happens when those mistakes are made and that it’s not the end of the world.

Chickens are like memory foam mattresses, they get used to the same old things, and takes a minute to see the changes. They'll be fine, given a few days and food. Sorry for the window, I tried yelling you to stop...lol 😂😅 Love ya'll ❤

If you take coffee grounds and bake them until they start to burn and then sprinkle them around the area you’re working in it will help to deter the mosquitoes. The coffee doesn’t necessarily have to be burnt if you don’t feel like taking that extra step. Burning them just makes a stronger odor that they don’t like. The smell hides the odor of fresh blood making it more difficult for the mosquitoes to find you. I’ve always had success with this method.

As an undergrad I was tasked with the dendrochronology (counting tree rings) of tamaracks that were killed in a freakishly cold winter in a local bog. I would have trunks no more than three inches across well over a hundred years old. We had to use a microscope to count the rings, some which were only one cell layer thick.

I love the way you attack a project and that there is a plan B. If this doesn't work you figure it out! Eric you like my dad, have the knowledge and ability to carry on when others might get another person to do the job. Eric you look nothing like my dad, but you remind me of him when you're working around the homestead. My dad had "nervous energy" ADHD, when working be it building, growing food, cooking, fishing and hunting, you have that can do attitude. Todays video was a good one. Until next time much love and many prayers. 💖💖

That looked like hard work. I really love your work ethic. I enjoy watching Eric cook. He’s really turning out to be a great chef. Y’all come up with the best recipes. What a beautiful parade of colorful chickens! They would all be my pets. Love the new hair style! You guys have got frost in the morning already! It was 85 degrees here today in Washington state. I remember, when I was young, and we would go camping. We did all the things out doors, and by the time dinner rolled around we would all be starving, and it didn't matter what the food was, it tasted like a gourmet meal. The amount of work you two put out in a day, you probably burn off all the calories with no problem. Awesome video of another successful chicken coop adventure!

Thanks Guys, great movie. The chickens will be very happy going out in the winter in the high tunnel. Put the high tunnel where you want to grow potatoes or your garden. Great start for excellent soil condition 👍👍.

The moss in your hair...'oh can't get it out, its part of me now'....absolutely hilarious. Endearing that Eric was attempting to groom his love...by the way, how long DID it take to remove all the twigs, moss, etc? Great teamwork, you guys!

That intro made me laugh. Great to see you adapting to your new environment to such a degree that Ariel is now also growing lichen!
The chickens continue to have the best life. Great shed, lots of space, so many sand baths, and now even more insulation against the cold! I hope that in combination with the heating will work wonderfully this winter.

@@SimpleLivingAlaska Hooray for the chickens! That would be a bit upsetting to see your house going across the yard! Glad they are settled in!

Ariel, you reminded me of the Wizard from Lord of the Rings Radagast with the birds nest/tree collection you had going on in your hair... Loved it. You actually wore it very well and you might should look into pushing that out as a new fashion for all off grid lady's!!! Just saying!!! Love you guys, keep up the great work... Erik
