Thank you for the longer video. Your voice is very soothing. Hope you have a great August. Btw, looking forward to your birthday sale. Those artist washis......... ❤
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo OMG!!!! I also got into knitting not that long ago (knitting a baby blanket for my friend) and I love it so much. CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on those stickers! You're the best, Helen!
Thanks for the super relaxing video. Agressive knitting is so therapeutic, right? Tips: No strss over "mistakes" - they add character to the piece. Aaand, you'll be surprised how many knitting bloopers, like uneven stitches, disappear once you block an item! You can always do a little yarn embroidered emoti or ??? over any bigger things if they bother you . I love the raglan pattern that defines the sleeves...color so pretty also.❤🧶❤
Helen, you are amazing and inspiring! From one knitter to another - your knitting is beautiful and that sweater is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with all of us. Your videos and posts are always a comfort and highlight of my days.
Such a great flip! So excited for Sunday! Happy early birthday! I baked my cake this year too! I did a lemon cake with buttercream and put strawberries in between the layers. 🎉 🍋
i love how even though u enjoy journaling u dont put too much pressure on urself to always be up to date and finish journals ! i always find myself missing days and feeling like i need to make it up to the point where i dread journaling but i love ur insight on it
With the knitting 'mistakes', I’ve always looked at it this way - any imperfections just emphasise that it was handmade, which means there’s actual love and effort from the person who made it. Also, if you find it’s something that really bothers you, you could always looks in to crocheting. If you drop a stitch, it’s no big deal because only lives on the hook at a time. Likewise, if you see a mistake a few rows back, you can just frog it back to that point and do it again. (And yes, frogging is the technical term. 😂) I started off as a knitter, but then moved to primarily crocheting for these reasons, plus it’s portability without having to worry about stitches falling off needles. Love your work as always, Helen!
I love that you’re doing a budget thing. I’m starting to get on a budget tracking kick so if you have any other ideas you’re doing please share. I’m new to it so gathering ideas where I can. Happy August 1st!!!
The “pause” when you are tearing the Washi strip and the corner tore off!!! That’s called the “Comedic pause” for effect!!! Sooo funny! Lol Love you and see you later!!! 🤗
Thank you Helen for another great video to watch on this super hot Tuesday . I’m so glad to hear that you’ll be able to focus on yourself more next year. I think what you’ve done so far is such an accomplishment! I hope you enjoy your birthday this weekend as well. Love you! ❤❤❤
I started using a Hobonichi Cousin this year because of your videos and will continue to use one next year. I am also a knitter and have your knitting emotis stickers, which I love. I will be ordering your new yarn 🧶 emotis stickers on Sunday. Happy early Birthday Helen. Wishing you the best year ever. 🎂🌺
Absolutely adore the idea of a hobonichi cousin for the ability of time blocking. But, trying to figure out the use of both the weekly and dailies without doubling up on time blocking or to do list. No journaling personally - more purely planning.
Oh em geeee so excited to see planner inspo next year, especially the baby A6!!! Anddd can’t wait to hear all about your grad school endeavors 🥰 P.S. HUGS to the kind person who sent you extra love sniff
Braiding Sweetgrass is one of my favorite books! The audiobook version read by the author is also super cozy. Highly recommend to anyone interested in redefining/discovering a human connection to the land and living more intentionally.
I love the silent outro too. Haha so relatable 😂 Thanks for sharing your planner plans Helen! I kinda struggled using my Hobo Weeks this year, Im still searching for a balance of work vs personal planning and journaling as well 😅
happy early birthday!! i love how you signed off - i sometimes feel like that after a busy day at my job (receptionist - unfortunately i can't just stop talking to people for 3 business days lol). i am going to need to order that van gogh washi! so pretty!! that washi swatch spread in your pocket bujo makes me think of the notebook i've dedicated to washi swatches - i bought it at dollar tree simply because i liked how it looked, didn't really have a plan on how to use it, and it's become my washi swatch book. it's so fun to flip through and see everything. don't worry about mistakes in your knitting, just proves you're human ;) as you continue to knit and do different stitches many hundreds of times you'll learn how things should "feel". and there will always be mistakes to be made. but that's how you learn and grow! i'm still loving that color combo and i can't wait to see the finished piece!
So happy to hear that you will be using the A6 as an extension to your Cousin. I originally purchased the A6 but then realized it's just too small for my day to day life being a SAHM so I had to get the Cousin for that part of my life lol. The A6 is strictly my personal journal and thoughts only...although sometimes I slip in a couple sentences about my kids lol. In this case, maybe work for you lol. I can not wait to see your notes and ideas for 2024 Helen, you are amazing and sooooooo talented!!! Although our lifestyle is different, I just want to say that you inspired me to get back into journaling and it has helped me so much :) sending hugs from Fresno, CA.
Your tabs are wonderful. (Random thought) The imperfections add character to your sweater. I like the two yarn shades. It will look lovely when you are finished. I don't knit, but my mother did. (And crochet) I grew up with all the knitting things around. Oh I imagined how you would look aggressive knitting. I might order an A6 for journaling as well. (Or use one of my empty notebooks) I sometimes fill the page in my cousin and want to write more. Since I bought a Spring start in the middle of May, I've been using the daily pages from April to journal more. That wont be an option if i contiue using the cousin and buy another Spring start. Thank you for sharing! Its interesting to see your process. ❤
I’m the same way when quoting song lyrics so I laughed so hard when you said that. I also can’t sing so 😂 also I would love that aggressive knitting as a sticker because, as a fellow knitted, that is a whole MooD 😂😂😂😊
I always look forward to your videos. You never disappoint! My cousin is knitting a sweater too. It all looks fascinating to me. Best wishes on applying to grad school. I am excited for you. I didn’t get that far, but l know you will be great.
I love your story time helen. Your knitting progress looks very impressive, i can relate as well, when I stress, I just knit/crochet to take my mind off things
yayy i'm so glad you shared the knitting in this one!! you say imperfection but it looks beautiful so far! especially for a beginner sweater. makes me want to knit a turtleneck/higher collar for once
Hi Helen, newer follower here 🐣I enjoy so many aspects of your videos and you have a very calming voice. I'm having fun wandering around your uploads and must say the video where you mentioned delaying going to the restroom because you want to continue working on your project made me laugh myself sideways because I do the very same and no one understands it, understandably. Anyways, happy birthday week!🌻 PS I am enjoying my first CoffeeMonsterzCo order and love the little bean card 😃
I’ve been watching your videos and finally decided on using hobonichi cousin for 2024, just so that I can use your product like you in the video. And now your switching to A6😂😂😂 anyway I’ll keep watching and see if I change my mind.
Hi Helen... Could you tell us what pen/brush pen you used for your "Done!" illustration on p. 112 of your bullet journal? I can see that you used something with varying line width like a brush... Soooooo cute! Thanks for your video.
Do you find it difficult to get the full benefits of journaling when you share everything publicly? It would seem like you'd have to withhold so much. Do you have a personal diary as well that you don't share?
Great question! Not really, mostly because these journal pages are more surface-level entries. They are mostly about my day-to-day life/thoughts, with some bits of deeper reflection sprinkled throughout. However, you are right that I do write my deeper thoughts elsewhere which I do not share! I do so digitally though, because they tend to long rambles where I want to get things done quickly, and I find more comfortable typing it out. Hope this made sense!
