I genuinely feel so much joy in my heart when the person that Nard is interviewing is stunned and so appreciative of all the work that nard put into the interview. Jack is a class act, that "God I love you" at the end was awesome
This has been a huge favorite of mine and I’m a little older but you can tell that jack really respects and knows how much of a gem Nardwuar is to not just the Hip hop and rap community but the music community as a whole. Really really love this!! Never change a thing!!! Much love!
I use to go by the name MG and produced 4 of Jack's songs on his first mixtape "Finally Handsome"! He was always cool af & I'm so happy to see he made it to a top spot! Respect Jack it's been a minute!
I really wish a group of these guys: Jack, Tyler, Quest Love, Cole, would get together and do an album specifically made up of Nardwuar suggested samples from his gifted albums. Id pay more than necessary for that.
Nardwuar truly is the most unique interviewer in the music industry. Such an intelligent individual. The hits of nostalgia he gives the interviewee's plus his unintimidating awkward persona really brings down their guards and exposes people's personality.
whoa whoa whoa, are we gonna gloss over the fact that at 17:17 Jack finessed the mic out of Nardwuar's hand? to use as a prop in his story, accomplishing a feat few have ever dared try, let alone have the gall to think they could actually wrest the sword from the musical warrior's grasp... learned a lot about Jack and Louisville here, much respect, and a phenomenal interview as always, still got it baby, DOOT DOO!
Yeah for real nard is such a generous chill dude, and jack is seemingly an extremely grateful and humble and chill person as well it just happened so naturally and was so in the flow of the whole thing
Bro I won’t lie I thought Harlow was an industry plant before he blew up to the level that he’s at now. I ended up doing some research on him as I didn’t feel right judging the guy before I know anything about him and to my surprise he turned out to be such an amazing person with so much good energy. Such a respectable guy who came up by working hard and believing in himself which is very inspirational. Mans is one of the most humble artists for his level of fame. The interview was great and just proves how good of a guy he is. Thank you Nardwuar and Jack for this
Jack seems like one of the more cool cats in the game but let's face it: EVERYONE that "makes it" in the industry as it is today is to a certain degree a "plant" based on the simple fact that you ultimately buy your way into it rather than work your way in nowadays....
I'm so glad the world knows Naurdwaur from the internet. Growing up in Canada this man was our bridge to big time celebrities that we never got to see interviews with. I'm 30 now and he still hits that same spot. Keep on rocking in the free world
I always respected Jack Harlow and now even more so, the appreciation he showed throughout. I could feel from Jack for the entire video really exudes wholesomeness and great character and I can respect that and I know he’s genuine which is hard to show through a camera. Much successes on to those that work they asses off for what they deserve.
I’ll be 29 this Friday and as weird as it sounds I’ve been around since TH-cam basically began. Once I came across these interviews you can really tell how much he values every person and the info/knowledge he gets and gives. Most take it entirely the wrong way because they are so far up on a pedestal but Nardwar will forever go down as the greatest OG. Nobody has his style and can ever do what he does. My man’s griiiiiinded for decades.
Jack:"I said it and it happened, this is amazing thank you." Nard:"Well thank you for making it come true." They are just perfect for each other like Luke and Obi-Wan
I like how nardwaur just asks a question and just stares, let’s the artist elaborate on themselves and answer their own shock in what they’re receiving or hearing, it’s dope to see them reflect and picture the memories that they went through to be where they are today.. wow assisted by my boy Juan 😂💯
This was heartwarming. I enjoyed this interview a lot. A bunch of knowledge was dropped, a lot of feelings were shown and it was great just watching it unfold.
I remember when jack harlow came on the scene I thought he was a complete joke but this dude really seems solid. He’s had a chip on his shoulder this whole time and a lot of rappers try to be something they aren’t to cancel that out but with this dude it’s genuine he’s just himself. And he uses every chance he gets to show love to his people/hometown it takes a real man to stick with your day 1s after the come up, I respect tf out of this dude
Jack Harlow is truly cooler than the other side of the pillow. Shout out to his respect. Also shout out to Nardwuar also being appreciative whenever someone shouts him out
its crazy how people used to clown nard and think he's corny now everyone is so appreciative of the moment he gives them and treats him like the celebrity he is
There’s something different about the vibe of this one. Feels very real and sentimental, I think the beach atmosphere has a lot to do with it. Hope it is here to stay!
I loved everything about this. When Jack mentioned the accolades about Hip-Hop in Kentucky and especially Louisville I couldn't help but think about what could've been if he had performed at the Kentucky Derby the other year. Unfortunately someone in his entourage ruined that opportunity by popping off in a nightclub in Louisville but I digress. I'm super happy to see that Jack has gotten the well deserved screen time in recent years.
Its crazy how far Jack has come, my cousin put me on to his music in like 2016 bc back in hs he played against him in soccer and knew of his music, legitimately one of the first and damn near only artists ive seen go from super small to a huge name, i can't wait to see how far he goes
I seen him in Calgary at Sled Island. I knew who he was because he was signed to QC but didn't know much of his music. I think only two guys there were actual fans and were right at the stage, it's crazy to see how far he's come from now and it's dope to see he's humble enough to talk about how no one there knew him haha
Nardwuar is special cuz he brings to millionaires things they can't even buy instead of trying to impress them behind the scenes. Both him and Jack are so humble and cool. Respect!
Nardwuar is reaching a time when the people he interviews grew up watching him as did I back in the day when I discovered the NERD interview. The respect the néw guys have is palpable.
I am almost 40 and learned of Nardwaur just a couple years ago, and it really shocked me that I hadn’t come across him till then. I remember I binged every episode he had in 2 days. Trippy dude. Anyone else have my experience too?
Cool seeing Nardwaur getting so much respect from artists these last few interviews after a decade of doing easily the best interviews in the music game. Respect.
Jack has something that alot of these artist don't have, a great sense of humor and genuine personality,no one better to bring it out oh him than nardwuar

I’ve watched every Nardwuar interview I could and I would say most of my respect for an artist comes from the way they handle the dynamic of a Nardwuar interview and I would say this is the most respectable interview I’ve ever seen. Jack Harlow gave more appreciation to this moment than anyone has given and that speaks volumes. Bravo to Mr Ruskin and bravo Mr Harlow
17:46 i like how he used the phrase "character building exercise" in this interview after the dude from Hot Ones called his early concerts that. Vice versa, I love how Jack made a Nardwuar reference during his Hot Ones interview
I don't know why it took me until watching this particular interview to notice how timely the camera angle cuts are. It adds a whole other layer of engagement to these interviews. Kudos to the person/team behind that aspect of these clips.
Nardwuar is the most impressive interviewer I have ever seen, He always is able to connect to each artist and bring up important moments, bands, hobbys, or other intrests during there ENTIRE carrer and before. Props to the Legend.
I feel like this was the smoothest interview I’ve seen from Nardwuar… Jack Harlow is a different breed, he’s got really good social skills and is funny sometimes without trying.
It's official Nardwuar is so much of a living Legend from here out every interview the person interviewed will have no doubt have dreamed of being interviewed by him. He is now the highlight of entertainer's careers.
O you know it. My grind has been slow but I'm always aspiring to reach the stage, and part of that is hoping to meet the legend for real. I catch myself after a riff thinking "man it would be so dope to catch this dude after a set in b.c. or something." Then watching Jack feel it in his bones makes me want to drive on even harder. Like this is what "peak" feels like to me, get flexed on by the man brining out not only original vinyl but all the way meeting you in Malibu? Dude a total adrenaline rush for sure. Makes me want to know what it is to really be alive.
He is right in saying Nardwuar did a lot for his city on this interview. I'm some random dude in Australia and that's the first time I've ever heard of a band called Slint, or heaps of these people mentioned. Made me go have a listen to their records. Crazy how that works, never hear about a thing your whole life until you do, and then the glass breaks forever haha.

Jack is a true G, homie said thank you for every gift and showed love. Cool interview
Nardwuar’s funeral will bring out more legendary artists than any other media personality in history.
why would you say that :(
this is facts
I rebuke this ! Nardwuar will live a long and healthy life !
like Virgil Abloh
nah Nardwuar will live forever
Jack looks genuinely happy for every gift he got.
one of my fav interviews he’s done, jack is a true g very solid, humble, thanked him for every gift.. how he soaked in the moment at the end. very chill interview, both solid/genuine dudes.
Much love!
Im teary eyed. This guy is genuine af i hope im not being manipulated and he’s really a bad person. When you win you spread the love even more
You’ve got a negative outlook for no reason
Being from BC, it's crazy to see Nardwuar become such a legend. I remember him and the Evaportators playing rec centers on Vancouver Island.
He's so proud of Vancouver, it really is a big part of his charm.

@adam. oh you're an official one... yzzr!!! :)
That's so cool man! I hope you're doing well in the producer world nowadays! You should be proud of yourself
That’s actually dope
You ever fuck with the late Butter friends with Father.
Damn it’s the man! I shot the music video for Cruisin’ for Harlow and Kalman when we brought Jack to Manassas VA! That track & beat went hard
I swear to fucking God, Nardwuar brings out the most genuine smiles of any interviewer ever. Much love to the Man, the Myth, the Legend.
I really wish a group of these guys: Jack, Tyler, Quest Love, Cole, would get together and do an album specifically made up of Nardwuar suggested samples from his gifted albums. Id pay more than necessary for that.
THIS COMMENT THO
Does more reach than anyone, and gives our favorite artists memorable gifts. Nardwuar's a legend and the best interviewer.
Nardwuar truly is the most unique interviewer in the music industry. Such an intelligent individual. The hits of nostalgia he gives the interviewee's plus his unintimidating awkward persona really brings down their guards and exposes people's personality.
whoa whoa whoa, are we gonna gloss over the fact that at 17:17 Jack finessed the mic out of Nardwuar's hand? to use as a prop in his story, accomplishing a feat few have ever dared try, let alone have the gall to think they could actually wrest the sword from the musical warrior's grasp... learned a lot about Jack and Louisville here, much respect, and a phenomenal interview as always, still got it baby, DOOT DOO!
thought the same man. I think nardwuar just knew that he was acting natural and that jack respects him
It was so smooth that I didn't notice until he handed it back
Yeah for real nard is such a generous chill dude, and jack is seemingly an extremely grateful and humble and chill person as well it just happened so naturally and was so in the flow of the whole thing
This comment is so corny man it gave me goosebumps congrats
Rigjt he’s so Likeable
@@dawb86 how is that the case for Jack?
@@dawb86 Jack did shows and tours in front of basically no one for years before he made it with What’s Poppin.
He was a plant tho lol
I'm so glad the world knows Naurdwaur from the internet. Growing up in Canada this man was our bridge to big time celebrities that we never got to see interviews with. I'm 30 now and he still hits that same spot. Keep on rocking in the free world
This shit was spiritual lol. You could tell jack was feeling emotional the whole goddamn interview! Insane!!!!!
Nardwuar’s become such an icon he’s starting to eclipse the very artists he’s interviewing. what an absolute legend
i swear hes there when the higher powers in hip hop have their meetings. like the dude in the shadows everyone in the room is afraid of.
Jack's smile is EVERYTHING! His vibe is so amazing that its literally magnetic and pulls EVERYONE to him! ❤️❤️
Nardwuar the only interviewer who jack will actually show respect towards and not troll the entire time.

The lingo, man.
Immaculate I have no words . Jack is so real , and nard making him that emotional really shows how much time and care goes into all of this .
Jack:"I said it and it happened, this is amazing thank you."
Nard:"Well thank you for making it come true."
They are just perfect for each other like Luke and Obi-Wan
Also shout out to Nardwuar also being appreciative whenever someone shouts him out
its crazy how people used to clown nard and think he's corny now everyone is so appreciative of the moment he gives them and treats him like the celebrity he is
The respect both of these men have for each other is like no other. Truly some amazing people.
“Be an entertainer. It’s not about you, it’s about the people.” Great quote from Jack 👏

There’s something different about the vibe of this one. Feels very real and sentimental, I think the beach atmosphere has a lot to do with it. Hope it is here to stay!
I think this is the best interview yet. Jack is very grateful and you can tell by his energy. He really appreciates Nardwuar

That’s so cool, I wish I knew someone who made it this big so I had some stories to tell

That J.Cole intro is going to be timeless for Nard 😂 shoutout Cole for being dope and nice to talk too. Rare find, indeed.
I am almost 40 and learned of Nardwaur just a couple years ago, and it really shocked me that I hadn’t come across him till then. I remember I binged every episode he had in 2 days. Trippy dude. Anyone else have my experience too?

Really fascinating interview. With so many performers who’ve really blown up, when narduwar mentions hometown stuff they are surprised and happy but it’s clear they haven’t thought about the subject for a long time. Jack just rolls with it, he’s still so connected to the place he came up.
I could tell he wanted to cry when he pulled out the picture of soccer from high school at first but he pulled himself together so fast.
The Mac Miller interview is pretty good too
One of the most wholesome interviews I've seen in a while. Great Vibes, filled with gratitude.
I catch myself after a riff thinking "man it would be so dope to catch this dude after a set in b.c. or something."
Then watching Jack feel it in his bones makes me want to drive on even harder.
