The Uber boat experience is amazing as you are passing by iconic buildings like the Houses of Parliament, the Shard and other buildings along the Thames on your way to Battersea Power Station.

I remember when Battersea Power Station was still in use. My grandparents live directly opposite on the other side of the Embankment. I remember the Pink Floyd pig flying from it too.
Thank goodness, after many many attempts at redevelopment, someone got there in the end. It’s a beautiful building and I love the inside with some of the original machinery and gantries.
Would have been better to have more community sites, not just very very high end shops. However, the developers have to recoup there investment I suppose.
Will be a great place to hang out in the summer with the embankment areas landscaped. Plus you can walk straight into Battersea Park from the embankment walkway. As always, a great vlog Mr C.

What an amazing fascinating experience. Love wandering around with you popping into the coolest shops, visiting places I would never otherwise go to. Fabulous video Mr Carrington - wonderful to see how Battersea has evolved from the past days of the power station. I'm a London girl - it was always a (imo) ugly site, especially compared to other landmark sites on the Thames. Brilliant to see how it is being used, and enjoyed for the future.
Watching as always, from West Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.
Wishing all viewers and Ewan, a Happy and Peaceful Sunday wherever you are 🙏💖

Love your honesty when telling us about places. I went up the tower at Glasgow Science Centre. It was lovely if a slightly terrifying experience they weren't sure if we would ascend owing to the wind speed. We did get to go up after a short wait to see if the wind would drop. The lady did warn us if it picked up again, we would have to abandon the cabin and walk down the staircase inside the tower.

    Hi Iwan!
Very nice vlog! What an immense place to tour around.
Great variety of shops, bars and restaurants!
As we are living vicariously through you and your experiences, l would love to see you spend your hard-earned money and buy some of the clothing that you admire. You can't take it with you when you go. We know that you love to thrift but, sometime treat yourself and us and Buy what you like. And even at Paper Chase when so much was so drastically reduced, nothing was bought. I love to shop and l do but things that l love, not just for myself but for friends and family. It seems like it's always someone's birthday and l like to know that I have gifts on hand to give.
The thrifted jacket looked great on you! That was a great find!
You look so cuddly in it and the bright white was perfect for your complexion. You are so very handsome!
If l were in England with a book recording firm, l'd put you under contract ASAP! You could sell
Tons of recorded books, so very easily! I've often read comments with other people praising the calm and soothing sound of your voice. And l admit that your voice is just one aspect of your vlogs that l look forward to each week. And l can watch the Same vlog, over and over again if it's a favorite, like at Christmas or when you are out with Luke or Kate.
If you don't know, you are about as lovable a man as there has
Ever been! Your creative talent is truly amazing!
Please take good care of yourself! Your friend in Kansas City, Tom 😃♥️♥️🍀🍀🌹🌹🌈🌈🌷🌷♥️♥️🌈🌈🍀🍀🌟🌟🌹🌹🌈🌈🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I went with my son and daughter in law and two year old grandson last November we went for the lift experience but had a few hours to spare before that I really enjoyed it seeing it through my grandsons eyes was lovely especially as the lift started to rise
There was so much going on a meet and greet with a sports influencer who’s name I can’t recall but the queues were forever they had a piano with some brilliant pianists kept my grandson quiet for ages lol as it was nearly Christmas there were outside activities like the ice rink and fair, I thought it was a lovely day out.

We went when it had recently opened and it was very full. The building is so beautiful, we live in north London so the northern line going all the way to Battersea is such a game changer. I also went to L'Occitane and bought their classic hand cream, I've been using it since 2006 and I love it so much. I remember waiting way too long for pancakes but it looks like you won't have that problem!

Hi Mr. C! I remember that power station when we visited London in 2008, 2010, & 2012. I also remember how run down it looked, but my how It's changed! It is indeed massive & looks fantastic! So much better than it once was. We used to stay in the Pimlico area so Battersea Station was not too far away. Can't wait to see it when we do return again. Thanks for taking us along. Much love from Fort Worth, Texas! 😊⚘🌱

Wow! thanks for this, I never knew it had been completed. When I moved away from London it was still an empty shell! It was going to be so many things and I think to end up a shopping mall, fantastic and even though it is more high end shops, perfect for London. Amazing experience being shoved up a chimney to see the view! The outside has been done so well too I feel, very impressive. Sort of a day trip destination and spend the day exploring all that is on offer and the surroundng area. Great Vlog Iwan, thanks a lot. Have a good week to come x

It is a bit of a walk from the new tube station and you'll get soaked if it rained.Must cost a fortune to heat and light the inside. Noticed not many people about in the shopping areas. Can't see it prospering.

What a beautiful, historical building to repurpose into a shopping center. The inside is well designed and it’s nice to see some old parts of the building into the remodel. Nice shops but def more expensive .

I went to the power station in November but I passed on the chimney experience. Thought it was too pricey. My friend went up and she thought it wasn’t really worth the price for the time. Hi Mr C, I was there on 3/3 in the evening to see the The Light Festival before it finished on the 5th!
I’ve yet to do the Lift 109, but I’m waiting for a day off (not the weekend!) and for it to be sunny to see as far as poss! Unfortunately they have hiked the price of that as when the centre opened last October they were advertising as £19.50 which I thought was an ok price to pay. However as you’ve said it’s for the experience and I will do it this year so I can tick off the bucket list! Have a great week ahead 🙂

I really enjoyed your tour of the old power station. It the Tate Modern still housed in it as well? I find it so weird that so many Poms ( I’m half English) say Nike like the fish pike. It’s pronounced Ni -key. The brand gets it name from the Greek goddess Nike who was the winged goddess of victory. Athletes who wanted to win worshipped her. Even today, she has some significance to athletes. If you look carefully you may notice a striking similarity between Nike's wings and a famous swoosh symbol found on sneakers.

That was a brilliant tour. I always remember that building as a child driving past it when I used to spend my summer holidays in London. What a fantastic idea to put a lift in one of the chimneys. Reminds me of Willy Wonka. Well worth a visit. Thank you Iwan. ❤

Hi Mr Carrington a great look around Battersea Power Station shopping centre. I actually work in there but haven’t had a chance to look around as yet. After watching your video I will definitely find time to explore the shopping centre as it looks really nice. I hope you have a nice Sunday and I look forward to watching your next video.

Thanks for this great video. Loved the chimney experience and the overall shopping walkabout. I remember Battersea when I was there 40 years ago. All the best from Houston Texas

Hello Mr Carrington. We’ve been inspired to visit Battersea power station after watching your vlog. We went today 12/6/23. It was amazing and enjoyed the chimney lift experience too. We’ve of never known any of it was there if it hadn’t been for you. Thank you.

up the chimney definitely had that ''Great Glass Elevator'' vibe, up up up and OUT !!! Well that was fun, London is a real reason to travel back to Europe Helsinki is the other, from all my travels, these two cities are the dearest to me. don't @ me the the UK isn't in the EU anymore, Mexico and Canada aren't the US but it's all America.

Wow what a shopping experience. No Primark or Poundland there then ! As a child we didn't have holidays away but days out. My father would often bring us to London and Battersea Fun Fair was one our favour places to visit.
