    Do you get them dirty catfish up there as well like Wivenhoe?

    • @Lure_Loser
      @Lure_Loser  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I've never seen them there. Get the eel tails if using bait but never seen a forky

      The eel tails eat really good once the fillets are soaked in a cold salty brine

    Man, nice video, Which ramp did you launch from? And how far into the dam did you venture. I am going to venture out mid week as it doesn't seem to be many out . You had a good weather day that round, do you generally drift on just set on the electric?

      Cheers mate. I put in at the spit down the bottem of the dam that day and took about 35min to get up the top. However there is another boat ramp just near there the otherside of kilcoy, I just figure is same amount of time by car as by boat, depends which side you are travelling from.
      Depends with which way the wind is blowing, normally drift with breeze and just. Use electric to help steer the boat.

      @@Lure_Loser Thanks for the reply. I will be coming from northside Brisbane Everton Park, Going to try out the lake before we try a bit of camping in October. You look like you were using those twist? I ask at the camping and they mention good plastic, but I guess as fishing would go, its what works on the day and keep doing it :)
      Good parking at that Spit one?
      Deeper water around the dam also I take it?

    • @Lure_Loser
      @Lure_Loser  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That fish was on a metal vibe but twistes work very well at times. Is heaps of deeper water around and flats were bass school up as well. Plenty of room for car parking at the spit and also kirkliegh were the camp ground is. It does get busy at times but very rarely have to wait long to put the boat in or out.
      In October the redclaw will be waking up as well so if camping might as well throw some pots out too.

      @@Lure_Loser man I appreciate your reply and advice.
      How Do you measure those red claws? I was reading that on the camping site.
      You would just find shallow water as crabbing, what sort of bait being in fresh water?
      I may need to ask a few more questions on this area, the freshwater is new explore. :)

      All good mate, there is no size limit for redclaw as they are a pest in this area.
      If you have a look on my channel page I have a couple redclaw video with what works for me at Somerset and Wivenhoe. They are very smiler places.
